back in the day of my 306 I was on the PGAC... kind of chavvy nowadays, however I think there are still some useful members on there... http://www.peugeot-gti.net if not try: http://www.psooc.com/

1. Apparently it reduces inlet temperatures as you don't have hot used boost being taken in... 2. Check on G60Dan's gallery thread, and G60Jet's as I believe they both recorded the sound of theirs. Also the side rub strips are held on with some kind of adhesive, but there's no moulding marks etc. Just use a hairdryer on them, and slide them off... then spend the next 5 hours trying to get the remaining glue off the door

Yeah you can't really tell from the pics because that brown bread stuff is really shiney... but it is actually there too - only single layer though. To be honest its my engine that makes the most noise, rather than my exhaust, so I think when I take my dash out (again!) to sort the wiring, I'll maybe try adding some to the bulk head... although I didn't see much room for any to go last time :?

Update: Thought I might as well post some pictures of what I've been up to over the past couple of weeks... nothing that exciting to look at, but I took pictures anyway :) I swapped my old spec dash for dubsters late spec dash - I still need to sort the wiring of everything, but it'll do for now... Before: Mid Way: (The boost return sounded awesome when the car was in this state!) After: To be honest I'd say this wasn't worth doing, although I do MUCH prefer the look of the new door cards... and it'll all look better once I get some shiney things, and gauges installed 8) Along with changing my dash, I've been busy soundproofing my boot... thought I might as well do that while the interior was out. As mentioned in another thread I still need to do some serious de-rattling, however the addition of the soundproofing has made a difference to the overall noise levels... all road noise now sounds like its coming from the doors (which I haven't done yet), so I'll get them sorted, and hopefully I'll have a quiet car :)

I wish my corrado was rattle free :( I spent hours soundproofing my boot last week (which did make a big difference) however I still have some really annoying rattles which seem to be coming from the rear passenger side panels, but I can't tell where exactly yet  I'm hoping once I do my doors it'll be even quieter...

I'll try pop along... my digital camera only takes very low quality movies, but I'll try get some all the same  Phat what time you going? Edit - to Croft I mean :)

whats the most you have paid on your insurance premium?
Shilakadaddy replied to surfer.vr6's topic in General Car Chat
£1600 when I was 17 on my 306 DTurbo (was actually quite quick considering my age  ) ...now paying £841 @ 20 years old on my G60 :) -
I like it, will definately do the same if I ever get a FMIC... don't spoil it with a numberplate... A20 Lee manages to get away with it

After the C.... what would you have?
Shilakadaddy replied to biggerbigneil's topic in General Car Chat
:luvlove: Aston Martin V8 Vantage :luvlove: But that won't happen for a while, so I'd like an GTR33 Skyline... that's probably not gonna happen for while either, so for now I'll keep playing with the corrado  -
Personally I'd looking into getting an active sub (is that what they're called?) - a sub with amp built into the enclosure... you could probably get something that would sound a lot better with that money, although I can't recommend anything as I'm not really up to date on whats good as far as car audio goes at the moment... This type of thing - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 49490&rd=1 although I'm sure someone else can recommend something appropriate... cue Kev with a suggestion

The spray cans from VW suck... they don't spray evenly and tend to spatter large droplets. I wouldn't use them for anything more than very small areas. Are you doing the whole bumper, or just touching up the damaged areas?
-
how much are the 6x9's and stealth shelf costing you? you might be better off spending that money on a small sub...

Supersprint manifold vs Milltek Hi Flo downpipe and porting
Shilakadaddy replied to _leon_'s topic in Engine Bay
the supersprint system was already on my car when I bought it... however looking at it, it looks like the early system with hook type hangers. Theres a nice thread here that shows the difference between the two :) -

Tee Hee!! Local Yoof Burn down Speed camera near me!
Shilakadaddy replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
They maybe don't go beyond yarm... but between yarm and middlesbrough on the 50 limit of the A66 they're always up and down there catching people! Although I have to say they're not that stealthy, you can spot them by the 200 additional ariels on the back of the car, and the luminous jacket wearing police man driving them  Theres quite a few undercover police cars round here... I've seen those silver skoda octavia RS's, a Honda Civic and potentially a BMW 6 series - it was behind me, and I could see two sqare blue lights behind his grille :? -
fitting konigsport coilies to a g60? all fitted !! 8)
Shilakadaddy replied to Riley's topic in Drivetrain
I was under the impression that the VR6 top mounts wouldn't fit with the konigsport coilovers, which is why I didn't buy any... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=19800 If they do, then great! I'll get some of them :) Steve, cheers I'll give that a try... I'm guessing this can be loosened while the wheels are still on then? I'm quite tired and can't really imagine it at the moment  -

Shilakadaddy replied to Riley's topic in Drivetrain
ah well sounds like mine might need replacing then... I'm also gonna have a look at the rear bushes and see what can be done to stop some creaking I've got coming from the back... my cars just a bundle of joy to drive at the moment   -
Newbie Thinking About Getting Corrado
Shilakadaddy replied to jamzontoast's topic in General Car Chat
with your hair... I'd say get the mr2... or get a hair cut and then your allowed to get a Corrado   seriously tho.. munkay is the guy to ask for this one... he used to have a G60, and now has a mr2 turbo - not really a fair comparisson, but he may be able to offer a better insight than the rest of us :) -
Thats well nice! looks like a fair bit of work has gone into that, good purchace 8)

Another old Corrado article I've dug up
Shilakadaddy replied to joebloggsVR69's topic in General Car Chat
yeah me neither.. "it just did not have the muscular styling which was needed in those days" eh?! the flared wheel arches and angular shapes make it look very muscular and aggressive to me... although I guess I would say that  Good article none the less :) -

Shilakadaddy replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
Weyyy!! :D I hated that camera... makes no difference tho, the A66 is so well patrolled by those undercover silver skoda's that I wouldn't dare speed :( which is really annoying between stockton and middlesbrough where its a 50 limit for no good reason! -

Shilakadaddy replied to Riley's topic in Drivetrain
Riley, did you replace the top mounts when fitting these then? I'd be interested to know if you get any clunking noises etc. after fitting, as I haven't had chance to replace any other suspension parts since fitting mine, and the car makes some fairly evil noises now :( Your car looks much better now too  -
Whats with the exhausts? Although I have to admit I did actually like this
