  1. Yep, more or less the same, there are a few differences, but not much. Slightly more bhp as standard (252) down to mapping. You can get a later reg one without having to have an FPR I think (not sure on that though) But there isn't much in it TBH. Certainly no downsides to fitting Audi, but I may be biased :D
  2. TBH it's not something I'm going to do soon, probably in a month or two when I've finished my engine install. I just wondered if it had already been done. But when i do get round to it I'll make sure it's spot on :D , I would like to put sound absorption material on the inside face of it too, like on the underside of the bonnet. yes it will have a hole in it for the sump to go round and a bit of spare to allow for engine movement.
  3. Oh yes, I've just been looking, there used to be some very similar ones to the £200+ ones you can find now, but for £70ish, Now I've actually bothered to look I can't see them, sorry for misleading you.
  4. Are you really that challenged as to not understand why you received abuse from the very people doing the mod when you post a remark like that? Especially when you didn't bother to find out why I'm doing the mod in the first place. You really are a tool.
  5. You know you can buy them quite cheap.
  6. Are you getting him to so yours then? I would be interested to see the results.
  7. Does that mod meet your approval?
  8. I am presuming that one one is 12v illumination live for the switch, one is earth, one is ignition live, and two are for the outputs signal to the motors. Presumably they have comparators in them then? On each motor, you have 1 for live, one for earth, and one for signal?
  9. I can find everything other than a caddy wiring diagram :( Really useful site though thanks for that
  10. I got a 1995 one which looks like the one in the pic above, but Bally says his is different so they probably did  My motors are 3 pin, with a - G + markings on the pins. My switch has five pins coming out of it.
  11. There nice as they are I think.
  12. I paid £36, cheers for the info buddy, I'll give it a go tomorrow :D
  13. Did you ever get these working? I've bought some motors from ebay (Audi 80) and a potentiometer (new from VW) as pictured above, but can't seem to get the motors to move! Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if the motors are duds (unlikely) Still got to make up a loom for them but wasn't sure how to wire them up?
  14. Chargers man, there SUCH a drag with all those extra horses. :D
  15. Sould be fine Kip, just a bit firmer, but then your B4's are too so will probably be a good match. Then again without knowing rates of both it's a bit hit and miss.
  16. Yeah too right, would have been nice if my calipers had arrived with the rest of the car bolted on!!
  17. Not a single bit of rust on my missus one
  18. I'm waiting for my milling machine to arrive!!!!
  19. My god you've got a good memory, there was a PVW feature on my Mk1 G60 Cab that I made after the crash, the piccy was in that!
  20. No not yet i'm afraid, will be in the next two weeks, but if you need to know now ask KADVR6 he's got Seat brembos with Seat brackets on at the moment I think, and RC's which are very similar clearance wise. :D
  21. Carl, you should give the VAG doctor a bell, he's only in Bristol (and travels) and can sort out the ECU for you.
  22. My wife has a Mk3 P reg four door. In the 2 years she's had it only one thing has broken and that was the coil, so easy fix. It's not a Gti really, but it is fast enough to overtake. It cost £1500 and had done 75k, it's now on 97k. Couldn't recommend it enough, but you do have to accept that it's not a great Gti. Mind you the Mk4 is no better as a GTi but it does have a nicer interior.
  23. Pistonheads just wouldn't be the same without it :(
