  1. The guy helping me with my conversion cobbled up a layout mixing the two vagcat hose diagrams together to give a R32 meets 12V hose diagram, quite clever thinking really. It makes sure all the hose valves are in the correct place etc. apparently, I didn't know there were any!
  2. Hi Pete, I've asked Jon a few times to mail the photoshopped vagcat layout to me, still no reply as yet I'm afraid! Sorry bud
  3. The last car (Storm) 4043 is listed (in etka) as produced at the end of June '95. AFAIK there were no other Cs produced after this date. My Storm (3267) was built in 95 (between March and April) but wasn't registered until Jan '96. Where did you locate a build date of Feb '96 from? How can you find out which number Storm you have? Is there somewhere on the car that tells you?
  4. That's prettey clear then, nice work cheers Kev. Ordering the +80% now then......
  5. I should get it hooked up to Vagcom, most VW specialists or big garages have it, you can then pull up the fault codes.
  6. You can buy 323x28mm discs from EBC for the Brembo equipped Cupra R, they are £120ish and then it's just a case of finding some suitable Brembo's off ebay, the Seat ones often come up and are good because they are radially mounted not lug mounted. I found some unused ones for £120 ish but that was a bit lucky. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... SS:GB:1123 They will fit under the RX's too, but you'll need spacers. And if you then find they are not enough you can ditch the discs which are the weakest point, and get some 330x30mm thick AP ones and space the caliper out by 2mm. Then you'll have a similar set up to Kev.
  7. I'm only talking about the ratchet, just because I've had two go wrong on me in the past and I've never had any problems with the Facom or ones I have. The rest of the stuff is very good, but then a spanner/socket can't really go wrong!
  8. Bettter off spending your money with the likes of Facom/Signet in my opinion. (Snap-On - overpriced.) At least the guarantee is unquestionable.
  9. Ahh sorry Mystic I might have worded that badly, I'm looking for a single connector to plug into the existing headlight loom, rather than pluging in lots of seperate wires. Perhaps I should just cut it off and make the headlight loom a permanent fixture.
  10. Kev, do you know where you can get the male side of a plug for the plug that goes onto the headlight? At the moment I've got crimp connectors plugged individually onto the terminals and it's sh1te.
  11. Hi pete, not worries about the saveguard people etc, it was just suggestions :D , I've asked Jon for the diagram, he's going to email it to me when he gets back home, I'll forward it straight on......
  12. Best to replace them all, but you don't have to get Poly ones. I would stay VAG though if staying standard though. You can use an R32 Front wishbone bush if you want something in between for the wishbones.
  13. Probably best to ask the seller which model to buy. You can get ones with the proper plugs on them rather than the bullet connectors, but I don't know where from, I would hunt elsewhere first, it looks average quality.
  14. We likos muchos Coxy  So what are you going to do about the green lit switches on the doors/sunroof? Do I hear the little footsteps of tiny blue LED's from ebay walking in your direction? Or are you going to cheat and send them off to JMC on the forum? he does a top job I hear.
  15. Nice. I like the Mk4 dash, it suits the corrado too. Much as I liked Jay's workmanship, I didn't think the TT dash looked right in the car, but your one in there looks right at home. Is it rattle and squeak proof though?
  16. Cheers Kev, BTW You'll need to have a clipboard, glasses and wear a lab coat whilst you do it otherwise the results are not valid.
  17. will that be a 2GHz or 3.2GHz version :) Ha ha, oops  I hope so because I really wanted to fit HID's but if your saying they don't shed the light well then I definately don't want to fit them as I don't wan't to be one of those inconsiderate ******* that blind people coming the other way. Phat and Coxylaad have both fitted Xenons and post up pics of the cut off, both of which seem fine though  Kev, when you've got them in can you post up a comparison pic before and after?
  18. I'm afraid it's not a peachy one :fondle: It does fourty nine whole horses under the bonnet though. :norty:
  19. I fitted some Halfords Rally bulbs when i fitted a loom five odd years ago and yes they are brilliant! they were still in there working until I took the car off the road last year, although I'm sure the heat from the bulbs has caused the plastic tabs on the casing to go brittle quicker and I had a couple break (which is an expensive break)....I have now purchased new headlights and plan to fit xeons.....
  20. what you after mate, i know someone with a full s3 haldex set-up for sale :) Cheers Karl but an s3 Box wouldn't mate up to my 3.2 :( I'm just keeping an eye out for future 4WD plans..... :D
  21. I would just repaint/powdercoat the springs and replace everything else. Springs only really deteriorate badly on heavy cars or through hard use, and the Corrado isn't particularly heavy, esp the 8V. Should think it makes a very nice commuting car, better than my Arosa
  22. The motors are apparently the same as BMw E36 ones, although I haven't seen for myself.
  23. Hey buddy, all looks good, not long now eh? Always good to pics :D Did you ring these guys? http://www.culimeta-saveguard.com/therm ... efault.htm The thermolastic covering is really good, bonds to itself to form an 'elastic skin' a bit like self emalgamating tape over it all and protects the heat wrap. We used it at work and it's shit hot stuff. Not much use to you now but the heat wrap was also the best out of the 16 different types we tested. I'll be going up to do some more on mine next week, can't wait :)
  24. I have thought of wiring mine up to the main beam, but fitting xeons in them to keep the temperatures down. If they are on main beam only who's to know? Unless of course you don't dip your beams for oncoming traffic
