  1. dinkus, just to be a wiseass, and show you that a norwegian kills you in english grammar (please let me be right on this one though :D ), isn't it discreet? I think it is. That's gotta hurt, doesn't it? ;) Oh, and I don't know if it counts, but I watched ali g indahouse yesterday, and it was hilarious. I'm gonna watch it tomorrow as well ;)
  2. I just noticed there is some oil on and around the second spark plug from the left. What could this be? I've heard some veery veery slight bad sounds from my engine lately also (around 1800-2200 rpm perhaps, sounds like datatatata really quick if you know what I mean. I am sure you don't). Could this be related or am I just becoming paranoid? Cheers, Kris
  3. yeah, I gotta do something about that... gimme a minute. :) Well I am on a roll these days. Today I got my car totally drained in grit, crap and cat guts, and i'm taking a road trip with some friends tomorrow, so I guess I'll spend the saturday cleaning it again. I even did some real work today. I removed the boost return system by using a hacksaw and a few screw drivers, and got a really wicked pop off sound. Better than a POV imo. It's only there when you're really thrashing it (around 5000 rpm and above), and is hilarious :D That took me about 2 hours. The stuff fitted was a blanking plate for the charger, a mini k&n for the ISV (just used the original tubing, and hacked it around a little. I wondered if I would just cut a nice hole in my bonnet and stick it through there, but I'll save that for shows), and a nice shiny alloy oil catch tank (I fitted it to my strut brace. Any other placement options? I couldn't find any). Worth every penny. I also removed the entire centre piece of the dash board to re-earth my head unit, just to find out it didn't power up when I got it all hooked up. After some minutes swearing, I found that the +12v live had fell out of it's nice rubber shielded alpine contact. So I got it working, and everything in place, and I even fitted some new screws I'd lost earlier. All in just about 1 1/2 hours, which is a new record (done it three times to do the same thing, hope it works this time). Lastly, I fitted a new gear surround trim from a 94 corrado g60, so now that fits snugly also. I feel really productive! Now I got some homework to do, though  Next on the list (probably this weekend) is fitting my rs-outlet and get started on my glass fibre (okay I can't stand it anymore, it's FIBER people, FIBER!) install. Wohoo! Let's get it ready for the 1st of May!
  4. what do you do with the big hole on the underside of the intake? Should I make it air tight or what?
  5. well, if you take a right at the mcdonalds by old trafford, then straight eastward for an hour, take the closest ferry to norway, then take a left, a right and then three lefts in a row, you'll get to my local gas station's "washing station". You get a high pressure washer, with or without soap, degreaser and the very scary "i'd like to ruin my paint job" foam brush. I'm sure you got some of these in the UK also?
  6. Very often when I use the brakes while in reverse, or in parking lot speeds really, there is this pretty loud "screeching" sound coming from the rear, it sounds from the off side (mine's a lhd remember). Any ideas what it could be?
  7. I am going down to my local c expert today to pick up a shiny £15 blanking plate for my g-lader, but I really don't know where to go from there. Obviously the 2nd inlet pipe (to the right) on the g-lader must be removed all the way up to the throttle body, but several hoses are attached to it as it goes. What do I do with these? Does anyone have a diagram? Oh, and I tried the search. One luv, thx for all help.
  8. today I washed my car for two hours straight, and was pretty much thrown out of the washing place by no less than four people. I kept it on the low though, and got a sparkling corrado in return! :) I love my car when it's freshly washed. Too bad it's too cold to polish it.

  10. I know there is as many different opinions on cruising / driving music as there are ways to spend money on your corrado, but just for the fun of it: what do you listen to when your speakers are blaring? I'll start this off, since I'm kind of a show off with my music ;) : Dance / Techno / Trance: * Brooklyn Bounce - Loud And Proud * 2 Vibez - Just 4 You (Bass T remix) * Baracuda - A** up! 11. you got it :) Ronan, a pleasure.
  12. okay, crazy man. congratulations! just... how much did that cost you? including the engine and labour? And what kind of engine is it? an r32 lump?
  13. today I... well actually yesterday.. I masked off the entire boot floor, and got it ready to fibre glass it. I have never fibre glassed with mats before, so I am going to practice a bit before I get started. I bought six rolls of masking tape, but only ended up using one and a half. Oh, and I found out my piece of skeet bonnet release wire has loosened up again, so I have to retighten the muthaph..... thing again.. oh glory.
  14. Try to tie a couple of helium balloons to your shoe laces. Will make your foot lighter. Your corrado isn't the only one, as far as I have understood. This problem, or "throttlus maximus", in the correct terminology, is one of the most known problems with the corrado. Known signs of throttlus maximus is a very low mpg, uneven tyre wear (usually especially hard on the front tires for some reason), and loss of driving privilegies. There is no known cure for this problem, but the balloon-trick has helped me a lot.
  15. 2cc, where do you get all these numbers from?

    my system?

First of all, congratulations with your new corrado vr6! Enjoy it! Okay, now to what you asked for. Audioscape is awesome, I've heard, but very expensive. Definitely worth the dough, though, so Infinity has a good reputation, but since i'm a die hard focal fan, I'd source some of their v2 stuff. Fit the tweets in the original location, they work really well there. You could make a centre speaker in the centre pocket for full out surround ;)
  17. what does a locking pump do? And do I need to get to it very often?
  18. 16v, about an hour of work or so? plus waiting, sh*t break, food break, a union strike, smoke break, cleaning and doing the laundry of course. You should get it back before the summer, hopefully.
  19. okay, I guess it's no need to start a new thread for this one question: what's the round black thing that's under the boot carpet on the right-ish side?
  20. Hi, I'm going to do some fibre magic in the back of my corrado, so I would need to remove a) the rear seats (the backs) and b) the side carpets in the boot. Any idea on how to remove them both, before I get started tomorrow? :) Cheers, Kris

    new grille time

Okay, so I'm tired of my present grille, and I gon buy a new one. What choices do I have, and what should I buy? Mine's a quartz metallic early style, if that has anythang to say. One love, thx for all help as usual
  23. dinkus, it won't open when it's locked though, so that wouldn't be a problem... but I agree, a remote would do the trick also. How much are they, ex. labour obviously.
