    Amps

ok, this is how to install an amplifier: First of all, you must run a +12v feed from your battery to power your amp (Remember to fit a fuse). You should also find a nice firm metal spot for earth, and run a short wire from the amp to the earth point (should be less than 1 foot, 30cm). Then you must run a pair (I have three, front, back and sub signal, since I got three outputs on my cd-deck.) RCA leads from your cd player to your amplifier. These leads transfers a low-voltage signal from the cd-player to the amplifier, which just as the name suggests, amplifies the signal, and sends it out through the speakers. To get all this amplified music to your speakers, though, you must run speaker wires from each of the speakers back to your amplifier. To make this easier for you (I presume you are going to use the original locations for your speakers), you can just extend the wires poking out of your dash, and hide them under the carpet all the way back to the trunk. It is through these cables the amp powers the speakers. tada
  2. haha, that's my motto ;) I got so much snow and ice packed up in the arches now, I can barely turn my wheels, and it doesn't really roll on its own any more. I hate winter. We had about 2 feet of snow coming down on us the last couple of days. And guess who had to run a thousand errands those two days? love. fk out of the two, bilstein if I were a millionaire.
  3. btt btw, while im roflmao and lol-ing I think I'll cop a new 90mm spoiler for show use only, not for my dwi sessions. They are only £50 iirc, btw.
  4. VR6, you really like that search feature, dontcha? ;) Talking about opening car doors, this one is a definitely must have: touch sensitive door panels. It doesn't come much cooler than that! Too bad the're so expensive ($400 per door) totally off topic: cam'ron's jay-z diss, "gotta love it", is really cool ;) Any other rap freaks over here? :D
  5. okay, thanks, but before I get crazy, what does IIRC stand for?
  6. yeah me also. I mean, I would never have thought it was possible to make the corrado's lines even more sporty and low-racer style. This is one of perhaps three mods I can accept on the exterior (whereas the two others are wide arches and the smooth bumper). Now we just gotta get to them. Have any had any luck finding out where they're from?
  7. I got mine color coded, haven't noticed any major blemishes yet, and I think the paint is about three years old. 90mm spoiler. How much is a new 90mm spoiler from the stealers? Or does anyone have one for sale?
  8. although I'm not completely sure what I would've chosen if I had the dough, it would be between polished a8 ones, cup 2s, the flat porsche ones (see pics), bbs rc (?) (the golf 60 ones), porsche gt3s or perhaps a 16" version of the jet alloys, if they are available in 16in. Or perhaps a couple of daytonas ;)
  9. ok, I guess I must be missing out on how my car can look then. First of all, I haven't polished it since I got it this August (The seller did it the day before I got it or so, I believe), and the cars I've ever polished have been done with turtle wax extreme or whatever from my local gas station. I read a test of a few different types in max pooftah a couple of years back, and the zymöl stuff sounds like it sure is expensive. Is it really worth that amount of money? How much does a box from meguilars cost? They don't have it in norway, so if anyone could throw a couple of cans my way, I'd be glad :)

    One WIPER

Hi, I got a bonrath kit on mine, but I think I'll switch back to the original set up, and then fit lupos. First of all because the kit is for a late corrado, while mine is an early one, which causes the mechanism to hit some panel every wipe, which will make you crazy after a couple of weeks. secondly, it's not perfect in its wiping, although acceptable at times. I gotta admit it looks pretty good, but it's kind of unpractical. If you're handy, you can make your own "kit", and save the £150-200 it cost the last owner. Google it up. I'll see what I do I guess.
  11. haha, bet you'd feel pretty stupid when sliding around in an icy parking lot, and suddently sit with the parking brake lever in ya hand :) My mech fixed it for me, although I have no idea how. I got a leather grip by the way, is that normal or am I special?
  12. didn't that vr have a supercharger? I would kill the guy that did that, seriously. I would've taken 20 years imprisonment with a smile if I got the chance to meet that guy in person.
  13. haha, I wonder how much mclaren would charge for a new wing mirror ;) I'd guess about as much as vag does, they're all thieves, right?
  14. Republic Of Mancunia, if you got a crease in the middle, is it for the detachable trailer mount (ok, i know that's not what it's called but it's early in the morning) perhaps?
  15. hehe, i'd rather slap that girl and set her off at the nearest corner. TBH, the car looks in better condition than her ;) No girl could ever make my sell my rado... unless it was to get a vr6 ;)
  16. soother, that would mean very long earths, and I've heard that ain't too good. I'll rewire this spring though, so we'll see then.
  17. Aren't there a lot of american cars (suvs and trucks) that uses like single digit mpg on regular driving / motorway cruising? oh, and my mfa must be knackered, it says I use 0.1 litre per 100km... dream :)

    Price Advice.

and if you don't have the oe press to put the bearings in your new brake disks, it'll take several hours of hammering with a soft metal tube to get the fecker in. I think my friend paid £10 for each of his rear disks and another £5 for each side for pads. Not OE, but stuff like that is getting worn anyways. I guess you could invest in some grooved disks and green stuff pads if you're rich. Get it fitted by a corrado guru for a case of stella or whatever ;) Neither of these, except the clutch thing, sounded that difficult either. I'm sure you could do it yourself, if you just dare. It's no shame to not dare. I do not dare to touch my car with a screwdriver outside the interior (ice and all), and even that is pretty scary.
  19. yeah it's a side exhaust, see pic. I WANT SILL EXTENSIONS! perhaps the coolest exterior mod I've seen for the corrado after the smooth front bumper.
  20. billinjahg60, where do you buy them? Or are they buy-able? :D hooray, 200 posts. I am now an official fecking geek. Don't let this get out, alright fellas?
  21. isn't JOM known for making horrible quality products?
  22. you are bloody crazy, you know that? :D thataboy
  23. i'd love a pair of those extended arches, cuz I would feel like I didn't see it right away. That's my big turn on. Like vr bonnets, wide arches, 993 mirrors, lupo wipers, de-locked handles (or nice audi ones) and every little bodywork detail on a10 lee's corrado :)

    body shops

if you look at this part of the forum, there is a recommended bodyshop list for every part of your big but small islands. If you know a LITTLE bit about your corrado (and which corrado owner doesn't?), you should take it apart yourself. If you want a full respray, obviously it'll be more expensive no matter how much you do yourself.
  25. aren't the golf g60 intercoolers VERY costly though, even 2nd hand? How much did you pay for your fmic set up? What was really needed?
