  1. awesome man, now get to work and earn some money so you can do all the stuff you dream of. I got some miles worth of dreams somewhere in my files and folders also.
  2. downloaded every single album mobb deep and eazy e has ever put out, and changed my dull 4-spoke steering wheel for a hot and sexy 3-spoke leather original gangster steering wheel  oh, and I fitted it with my new 92pc tool set. Next on the list is to re-earth my cd-player, which includes removing the glove box, the entire middle section of the dash, and the gear surround trim. Oh, and I am fitting a new gear surround to my car also, as the old one had broken its tabs.
  3. sounds great, and $1100 is pretty cheap for any coilover kit, isn't it?

    sunroof woes!!

i need a new switch for mine, as I need to push it down as hell, and to the side a bit, to close it anyways.. I think there are tons of info already written on this subject, try the search or check the wiki.
  5. kevHaywire, haha, thought just the same. Side exits are cool when done well, but I have still not seen a corrado with it done in a nice way (so it will look as o.e. as possible)
  6. If I would've had a computer in my car, I would use a laptop power supply, a huge hd for music / movies (let's say... 200gb or so), a celeron m processor, a decent mother board with intergrated sound- and graphic processors, and a dvd-rom. it wouldn't take more space than what would fit behind the glove box front. I could fit everything on... say a 30cm*30cm*10cm wooden board, and stuff it pretty much everywhere. And I could fit it where the glove box used to sit, and then take the lid off the glove box, and make it total stealth. You could have the dvd rom stick out the front, so when you opened the glove box lid, the only thing you would see would be a dvd-rom and perhaps a few connectivity-options, like a network cable, or usb 2 / firewire. I could make it happen for about £100 or thereabouts. Perhaps I should ;) edit: you would need a processor (£40ish), some RAM (£20ish) and a screen (£180ish), and other bips and bops... will probably be cheaper with second hand items, which is what I would do if I were to do this (I might ;) )
  7. hehe, relax, I got it raised a bit for the winter. I'd like it to be that low again, though, as it sits quite high on its snow tyres (195/45-15) now. Doesn't scrub too much, really.

    Whoaaa!

you can save a few hundred if you remove the bumpers, bump strips, grille, head lights, rear lights, perhaps even the entire hatch, door panels, sill protectors and door handles. When the previous owner repainted my car (in its original color), he just painted the original roof strips, and it looks quite all right. It makes it kind of spooky if you want to have a roof rack or something, but I haven't seen a lot of cars with a ski rack, and besides, I bet you don't go skiing a lot in England anyways.
  9. you would definitely need a new rabbit. And the lower grille. I have some aluminium mesh, looks alright actually. At least a solution until you get some new grille or whatever :)
  10. hehe. BigTartanJudge, I agree with you on the TT dash. Although it is a nice mod when done right, I think the original corrado dash is the skeet, and looks really great. TT is TT, Corrado is Corrado. :)

catch_twotwo, it bounced into action when I zeroed out the trip-meter

    vr6 swap

gradeAfailure, nothing's wrong with my g60 engine. I even have a spare lump and box that came with the car. I'm just thinking of different ways to go with the rado... I reckon I'm only gon have it for another year and a half anyways, so again, really unsure what I gon do with it until then. See, in a year and a half, i'm moving to the states and getting a mustang 5.0 with daytons, golf 4 gti or, of course, a rado vr6 :) I really like rados ;) mattingg, my car's ABS is there, but doesn't work (I only realized the sensors and stuff were there when my grease monkey told me so). I'll check it out I guess, thx for all help. Any further info would be great also :D You can never learn to much

    vr6 swap

Okay, the more I read about the vr6 engine, the more I want it. Soooo... I was thinking... If I bought a £2000 low mileage golf vr6 from germany, imported it, stripped it from it's front and rear axles, wheels, engine and drive train, and then break the rest for parts, you'd get a vr'd corrado for less than a namibian prostitute in oslo (which is about £5 these days). Obviously you would need a new hood, and perhaps even front arches, but wouldn't this work? My mechanic says they have the same part numbers and everything (except the engine, 2.8l vs. 2.9, but I can live without the extra desiliter, or even bore it up a bit)?
  14. okay, I was just surfing around the other day, and came over these. How cool is that? I'd love a pair, if they were'nt so expensive :D magic touch
  15. hehe, yeah, that must suck, but at least you know the wiring is all right now. tips: try it out before you put everything back in (should've done that myself ;) ). I gon get a spanner god friend of mine to do it while he's doing my electrics, which is... mother******* s***face crap**** *************, in his opinion. :)
  16. I went to wash the car: Okay, so I park my car inside the washing room (a tiny room where you wash the car for ££££££££££s), and go inside the gas station to take a dump so I would have maximum focus on washing and cleaning. Then, after 10 hard minutes practicing inner strength, I come out 10lbs lighter, and this old (well, mid-60s) guy stands and screams out about how there is this car in the washing room. I smile and say it's mine, and go towards the door to get to my car. It turns out, he has this really "posh" Cayenne Turbo, and his obnoxious (spelling?) kid inside (perhaps 20ish), waiting to wash their car (I'm sure it was their first time. Real brats both of them, you could tell just from looking at them). I smiled at them, and started washing mine. I think I spent about an hour just to piss them off. And about 3 minutes before I was finished, they left. Really hilarious. Ten minutes later, a huge truck drove past me, and splattered the whole front with mud and dirty snow. Grr.

    speedo trouble

okay, so my speedometer has taken on a part time job these days. Let's say... 70 percent of the time I start it up, (cold or warm, as long as I stop the engine) the speedometer doesn't work at all. I thought at first it was the speedo-cable (I got an '89 model, so only one display and no fun), but the odometer still counts even when the speedo doesn't. Any ideas?

    A wee vid

nice video, man :) Why are you selling your car?
  19. hehe, I think mine shows +10 kph of what I am driving. It is graded up to 280kph instead of the standard 260, so I guess the numbers are squeezed together.
  20. heh thanks.. I think i figured out what's wrong by now, but I gotta wait until it's warmer outside, so I can pull my seats out and lay some new wires under the carpet. And re-ground my player, which is only earthed to the back support of the dash (the metal frame part, thought it was a part of the car's frame, I guess not.
  21. eyyo, guess i'm a little late to be the wise guy here, but I've done this sooo many times myself. first of all, there should be two parts of your iso-loom. One part is filled with your speaker wires, the other with a lot of misc stuff. Theres a +12v, ign-on +12v, ground, power antenna feed, remote feed and probably some more stuff. You're looking for the remote. You better get the feed directly from the head unit, otherwise you'd potentially damage your shiny new amp. pull this skinny mo fo wire all the way to the back, connect it up, start your engine and turn on your head unit. Tada. Great feeling :)

    One WIPER

yeah, damn that sounds like a good idea. How does it drop and raise like that? I guess the wiper blades would be expensive though ;)
  23. awesome rims, I'd go for the cup ones zw1s also. If you stretch the tires a bit, you'll be able to go wider. And get the arches pulled, it looks awesome imo

    Idle problems

I'd try the ISV first, it ain't too expensive to fix either.
  25. put an oil catch tank in, see if that helps, and if not, you'll have something shiny to look at ;D *cried and laughed for way too long*
