  1. Should have used the search function as its been discussed many times before. Seen a lot of recommendations for the Airflow and Ctek ones, so think i will just stick with Ctek 5.0. Just for that fact that its fitted as standard to some top end cars and it looks like a better piece of kit then the Airflow one. Thanks guys for your responses.
  2. To all those that have there Corrado parked through the winter, are you using any battery conditioners whilst the car is parked up in the garage? I have been looking into the CTek 5.0, but thought I would ask what everyone else is using and there experiences with them.
  3. An 8mm spacer should take you to an offset of ET35, as I think the standard offset of the original BBS wheels are ET43. Which will help to fill out the arches without any need of any arch rolling.
  4. Synta Silver 10/40, in my G60
  5. I'm looking into the rear MK4 calliper setup, just trying to source all the parts.
  6. I would stick with Synta Silver from the dealers, which is a 10W/40. Also make sure you use the correct oil filter with none return valve in it. If the engine is stock, just ensure everything is running as it should before you start spending on modifications. And like has been said above, ensure you have some service info on the charger for a peace of mind. If you cant afford a full rebuild immediately, try to replace the oil feed pipe to the charger and the belt if hasn't been done.
  7. I get this all the time from the misses, what do they know. Good luck with the MOT hope it goes well.
  8. The tapping of the fuse box use to work, but not any more. Sometimes what happens is that it all be working when driving around, then when I park it up and come back to start the car the gauges are all off. So i am not sure if its a loose connection, that makes it go off with vibration. Will try cleaning the fuses one by and re fitting them and will see if it makes it any better.
  9. Need some help please, all my gauges on my dashboard go on and off when ever it feels like it. When it's gone in its off mode, only the indicator lights and clock are working. If it decides to come back on, the dash lights up as if I've just started the car. Car runs fine still when the dash goes off, but get get no display. If I bang it near the fuse box, it springs back into life sometimes. I've tried pushing in all the relays and fuses, but it's still intermittent. Anyone else had this problem, or maybe she'd some light on where to look.
  10. I had the same issue on mine, when I changed the stereo. Have a look at my post, I did a tear down of the ignition switch. So you can at least check the one you have bought, before fitting it. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=80372&page=3 You don't really need to take out the drivers seat, just helps give you better access to it.
  11. There is a guide on how to change the ignition switch in the WiKi section.
  12. I do apologise, but on my rado its the same bulb for the lighter and the ashtray. Maybe its an earlier corrado thing
  13. Just so you know the ashtray is illuminated by a perspex tube, coming from the cigarette lighter. There is no actual bulb in the ashtray.
  14. You buy the period plates from DMB graphics http://www.dmb.uk.com/ Good frendily people to deal with
  15. Had some rust cut on the rear arch, and new piece patched in on the MK3 golf. The quality of repair was very good. Prices are very reasonable, he also does schultzing and waxoyling. To help protect the car
  16. That's what i paid in June this year for one.
  17. Try D&M Connell's 01274 881099 Tell them Zed, gave you the number. They are based in Queensbury. They do a lot full on restorations to small patch work, they will only do the patching and not the painting. But they will leave very little work the paint shop to do.
  18. How about some corrado G60 grill badges, understand that you might not be able to mould the clips at the back. But maybe you could glue some nylon threaded bar at the back so you could fix them onto the grill.
  19. Hi and welcome to the forum. The one in for the sale section look like a good one. There are also a couple of good ones on autotrader, by the looks of it and depending how much you want to spend.
  20. Cheers Tempest, for the input. Just don't feel confident enough to have a go at it myself, i should do really. I might lift it up this weekend and asses it form underneath. Can I ask how long it took you to change all 3 mounts by the way?
  21. I think £300-£400 is a reasonable value in its present condition. If you did have the time and know how, i would look at restoring it or breaking it yourself for spares. As there are people still out there that love them. Dont give it to the scrap man, as somebody else my want the project and it looks to be all there. If i was closer, i would loved to help you clean it up from the inside and outside.
  22. Anyone local to West Yorkshire, that could may be help me out and fit some new engine mounts to my G60. I would like to have all 3 replaced and have the parts already. Willing to pay for persons time. Its just that the garage I would take it to, can get me in until 8th July and I wanted them fitted before my trip down to inters. Also would prefer someone that knows there way around corrados then let anyone loose on it.
  23. Thanks for the offer Pete, but I've already got my pass and ticket for the Corrado stand so will have to represent the club on my own. :-) If it gets lonely, will have a word with the event organisers, if i can move the car to VR6OC stand. Will come see you for chat either way Pete.
  24. Gutted for you fella, hopefully they will sort something out that your happy with. On another note, if you car was insured at a fix value and this had happened. Would the other company have to pay the fixed value that it was insured for?
  25. Pete, not sure how the G60 will go down on the VR6OC stand, i might booed off. LOL
