  1. love the colour on this, and some great work taking it back to OEM.
  2. Time for a little update, as its been awhile. Took the Corrado to GTI International, which was the first proper long run after the rebuild of the supercharger. Show was okay, but the weather was excellent. After travelling to Inters and back it seemed that car had gone through quite a lot of fuel, especially with just normal driving. So the first thing i checked was the condition of the spark plugs. All four was bad as this, and I think its fair to say its burning quite rich. As I had already been told by the guys at Jabbabsport that O2 sensor was on its way out, thought best start with this. Cleaned up the spark plugs and re fitted and fitted a brand new Bosch O2 sensor from ECP. Had the CO checked at the MOT place, and they said the CO has gone down. Just need to take it out on a good run and check the plugs again/ Whilst still in the summer of 2013, I cleaned out the rear arches. Need to spend some time on the front arches, in the summer of 2014. I have also replaced the front disc and pads, and painted the calliper and carriers in silver. Got the bits to replace the rear disc and pads, and also some brand new MK4 callipers. Just waiting for some better weather to fit them. Think I went a bit OCD and painted the brake discs as well, just around the edges. Whilst the car has been tucked up for the winter, I have been doing some small jobs that I have been meaning to do. Butchered the front tweeters in the dash, to fit some components in the car. Still need to fit the Mids in the doors. The standard grills fit over them, so everything looks nice and OEM. Been wanting a boost gauge for awhile, just so that I could monitor on how the car was doing. Didn't want to fit any thing permanently in the car. But still wanted something nice, so made a suction mount gauge holder that is easily removable. Next was to tackle the rotting sound proofing from the hood liner, I had bought a new from the group buy on here. Just not got to round to fitting it. So with a bed sheet over the engine bay, started taking the old liner off. It came off really easily in more or less whole pieces, it was then just case of cleaning the old glue off which took some time. Gave it a bit of polish as well and now just waiting for the spray glue to arrive so I can complete the fitting of the new one. So some slow progress, but its getting there.
  3. Its probably been asked a dozen times before by now, but I couldn't find an answer. My G60 has been in the garage since last September, I did an oil change and filled the fuel tank 3/4 full and few other bits before storage. I am wanting to know what is the best way to go about starting the car. A. Remove the lead from the ignition coil, then turn the car over a few times with the key. Refit and start the car. B. Remove power from the ignition coil, then as above. Or is there another better way of doing this. The car has been fitted with a battery conditioner, whilst it has been in sat in the garage.
  4. Put the blue plugs on the pegs of the badge, and then push the badge home. There is no need to go in side the boot.

    Aux water pump

I've got one from a Golf VR6, it was a bit intermittent. I was going to open it up and clean it up, I reckon there is still life in it. You can have this if you want, for the postage cost. Or collect if you are close enough.
  6. I would take a set of clear ones for the headlights, also maybe the fogs after seeing some pictures. Would it be possible to manufacture replacement lenses for the fogs?

    Bumper Alignment

I had this problem on mine, when I bought it, there is no real adjustment on lifting the bumper. But it is possible to get a better fit, but will take some time. Here is how my turned out. Side view before After Conner view before Conner view after Top view before After

    VDO gauge holder?

Could you post some pictures of the holder, when you dig it out. Might also be interested in the gauges, if there is a boost gauge in there.

    VDO gauge holder?

I could do with one of those as well, most likely a home made jobby. But it looks very factory, might look in to making something like this over the holidays.
  10. Got mine today, thank you.
  11. I used Jabbasport for the rebuild of my charger, as I was new to the G60's I wanted them to check everything else was within spec at the same time. I only went for a standard rebuild, but had to leave them the car for day. Service was excellent, and I couldn't fault there level of customer service. They even dropped me to the railway station and collected me the following day. Brian, is one of the main guys there and does all the charger rebuilds. He is very approachable and makes time to listen to your needs and issues. I even got pictures of the internals of the charger sent to me to show what it was like after. I also had the timing belt, tensioner and the pulley bolt changed. Just for a piece of mind
  12. Please say you a set left, and I will take them please. Will also send a PM
  13. you can buy the trim pieces from VW Heritage, as i did not so along ago.
  14. Cool, will be in touch as soon winter is over.
  15. Have to agree with what has been already said, a very helpful company to deal with.
  16. Hi Matt, The kit you posted, is this a complete kit with all the bits included as in the pictures? Also would you be able to fit this kit to a standard Corrado G60, and how much would i be looking at fully fitted. Thanks
  17. This thread revival made me go look for some pictures of my back end, you got to love the back end of the C.
  18. I would have thought if any damage has been done, with timing out. You would have known about it the moment you had revved it up to 3K. You have 2 options. 1. Take it to mechanic to check over it. 2. Revert back to stock, and then check if everything is running okay. Fit the the chip and pulley only, and check if everything is running okay. Fit cam, check if everything is running okay.
  19. I would like to see a pic of the G60 flip key, please
  20. Just out of curiosity how come you don't sell the Bosch W6DPO spark plugs, I thought they were OE part?
  21. I would be interested in this, but for a G60. Don't think there would be any difference in fitting a look wise. Do Dubpower offer a fitting service as well?
  22. Understand what your saying, but I don't know how many times the car will come out of the garage during the winter. Also remembering to put a trickle charger on every other week, seems like to much work and messing about. Rather fit a conditioner and forget about it, with knowing that everything should be fine.
