  1. cant get 4x100>5x120 adapters but you can get 5x100>5x120 adapters hence the need for VR6 hubs.
  2. as above, is it an easy swap to fit VR6 hubs onto a G60? really like the look of some 17" BBS RS and cant fit them due to being 5x120, and as the G60 is being pulled apart, wondered if VR6 hubs are a straight swap??
  3. think they are BBS RS301s or something, see a lot of Mk3 golfs with em on, probably do cost a fair bit, but you get what you pay for.... **just had a look on ebay.de few sets on there, anybody interested in some 17"bbs RXs?? just done a search and you cant fit them to 4 stud C's as adapters would overlap...could fit them to my MK3 VR tho....
  4. yup i agree, you need to have a backup system, so dont want to mess with the original stuff, for example my uprated loom went a week or 2 ago, if i hard wired the thing in (like i was intending on doing, to keep it looking good without wires everywhere) i would have been buggered and not had any lights at all, luckily i had just waterproof'd the relays and left it all sitting in the engine bay, so all i had to do was pull it out and put the old OE plugs back on.
  5. couldnt be ignition switch could it ?
  6. loving tis one.... might have to sell my BBS and get some of those....
  7. i'd be happy to buy the top of the range one for £42. but think ill wait until you can source the OE connectors, just so it all fits together a bit better and looks better under the bonnet....which i cant open at the moment :bad-words:
  8. ive got a filter breather on mine, no catch tank. it doesnt really give off much oil at all, so its hardly going to do any damage to the wildlife! some G60s are lucky like mine, and some spew out loads of oil, are you sure you need one ?
  9. theres one on ebay at the moment i believe, also has leather.
  10. sorry, was a hectic night last night (removed my alarm immobiliser in the dark!) and im half asleep after going to work at 3.30 this morning! sorry for wrong section too, did think it may be wrong section.....anyway back to topic....
  11. anybody know of a good supplier of front and rear strut braces for a corrado G60? im after someting that will actually offer some rigidity, other than one which is purely for looks, although saying that if there is a nice polished option that would work too....
  12. lol like flies round Shi....
  13. whats your motorway speed though? 120mph??
  14. think most people have taken them off, due to lowering, im still running them on my MK3 VR which is really low, and scrape on everything! but could be quite a good buy if they are still available....
  15. Agreed, best thing on TV at the moment. who cares if some of it was staged? other TV stuff is and its still funny, so why should TG be any different? Most people dont watch TG for the reviews now anyway really, i mean, who cares about how well the 'new pug 1007' handles round corners at 70mph? or how hard the seats are? They realise the only people who watch TG are petrolheads and therefore only talk about appropriate cars for the audience, sports cars, hot hatches, and cars which have some thing new and exciting, its what the viewers want....
  16. fantastic stuff, cover all the glass in it on my C. also use the De-misting rain X stuff too, really good if your heater takes a bout a year to warm up, i went to work early one morning when all the other cars were iced up, and my windscreen was completly clear!! THATS AMAZING!! :shocked!:
  17. looks nice, hard to find one in good nick these days. looks like you got a good one.
  18. i got my two as well yesterday, my sidetrim is painted silver too, gonna get some model paint and paint it black.....
  19. i have a golf VR6 (highline) and although it may not be a Vr6-i have a corrado G60. Lookswise i'd go for the Corrado evrytime, everybody who knows about corrados knows they didnt make a slow one, plus they are a lot more rare than golfs, performance wise i'd say a golf (due to the fact its got to be lighter?) but then again isnt so aerodynamic so maybe not? Ease of driving its got to be the golf everytime, you could be driving a fiesta and wouldnt feel any different. whereas the corrado is a bit heavier steering and needs a bit more effort behind it (maybe thats just because ive only driven modded corrado G60s ? Buildwise the corrado has the odd rattle and squeak in it whereas the golf is silent not one single rattle or bang. but the corrado has done 130000 and the golf only 44k.....could be a factor
  20. LoL  not far off a complete 'not gonna happen' verdict then??
  21. i would imagine i would have had the Lexus as well, but i get worried easily, escecially as we were into licence losing territory. i had it up to 140 before just to see what it would do, but quickly backed down as things get closer a lot quicker at those speeds. Lexus must weigh 2 ton+ so needs a big engine to haul itself along. but still expect more from an S3, it seems to be one of those cars thats quick off the line (due to 4WD) but then runs out of puff when the power is needed most, which is where the s/c VR6 takes over.... the spec of the Golf VR6 is: ZR2 charger Schrick 268 cams Remap Lowered (Koni Adjustables) Supersprint exhaust 205/40/17 paradas Induction Kit apparently running 276BHP (unconfirmed by me)
