Could be way wide of the mark, but looking at VAG-CAT seems only the lenses are different LHD->RHD  The main reflector only shows one part number (discontinued)... if this is the case then you'll only need LHD lenses..

Unless they're not in a position to spend £50?

Hardly nothing. 2-4 hours work plus £80-100 + VAT to realign the front camber and toe again. £120 a set for the original red ones from VW. You'd spend that sort of money on a car you're trying to sell would you? You don't seem to be taking on board what we're saying. You seem to expect an awful lot for your strict budget of £2750. Best of luck to you. Thanks Kev, my point exactly. MikSLP your best bet is buy the best car you possibly can for as much of your budget as you want to spend on a base, keep a bit back for Inital service/repair (I always have any car I buy FULLY serviced, even if it was supposedly done, just piece of mind). Plenty of choice out there for that sort of money! But you will have to be VERY luck to find one that needs no work for that, (unless you want to buy my Valver? )

Dave, always though the "late" (9a) were "wide track" seeing as the had same wings/bumpers etc as the VR and same offsets to the wheels... even sure I ended up with "VR" A-Arms... but would need to check the reciept! But then VAG-CAT lists same (non-abv) arm for KR and 9a engined cars! Corrosion's an issue because thay're made from monkey metal, never seam welded, and painted in coloured water... They are cheap for a reason!

VAG all the way... have seen "OEM quality" wishbones from "certain suppliers" rust like cheap tat, to the point of one set failing a MOT after just 2 years! ... But then how long do you plan on keeping the car? At the end of the day it's £50 vs possibly doing it again in 1-3yrs or (Very worst case) your car/life if it fails... Tried TPS for them? BTW are VR and Late (wide-track) Valver wishbones different? I paid £48 each for my Valaver ones.. a year ago!

Just as an aside... I've seen a few "xxx is wrong/missing/dented.. why doesn't he just fix it for the sale?" type comments over tha past months... Have a think, the car's for sale for a reason and maybe they don't have the money/time to fix "XXX" even if it does mean the car's worth more on the open market. Not everyone has a spare £xxxx to spend on their car... especially in the current economic climate.

*cough* Pikey! *cough* Actually a good idea Mr K!

Put it up for sale! :( viewtopic.php?f=12&t=89327

Why not? Dennis has been investing (grooming? :ignore: ) in Lewis since he was a child... Kovenlinen found this from the sounds of it... Virgin was a front wing failure, and as the car had been "virtually" designed wasn't a surprise... as it is you'll be surprised how few spares are availabe for the first tests even for the established teams... Oh and Red-Bull couldn't produce a complete session either, and have an "underpowered Renault engine (as last year!) TBH nothing can be read into early testing as we have no idea about fuel levels.. but the top 3 will all be at the pointy end at the start... Ferrari/Mercedes/McLaren.

Why when it's £150/set to have them professionally powder coated at BJV? But I'm lazy!

Been dealing with this all my "Car-life" (coming over from the Air-cooled world obselence is ust another daily hurdle - try getting anything for say a 1969 Type 3 Notchback - a one year only crossover model!). As Kev said there a lot of common parts, and a lot of "alternatives", as well as companies that will supply seals etc (it's where the air-cooled seals come from). As to Body panels, wings etc will be a case of finding "Best of the worst" outr there and then entrusting to a Good body-man, I'd suggest looking for one with "proper" old-skool know-how such as Lead Loading and shrinking/stretching rather than the more modern "Bolt on and kipper over". To find these guys get into the wonderful world of Classic cars (Pipe smoking optional) or "Proper" hot-rods... these skills are still out there. I tried Lead loading once and after wasting most of a bar it just looked like a robot had chucked up over the panel.. :epicfail: it really is an artform. -
Sukh Talk to Alex at Elite... alway get great advice from him... Really need to see the wheels as thinking about BJV's Black Chrome :luvlove: for some of my wheels... Has it stood up to the winter ok? You should pop down to Hemel for a Nomads meet sometime, they guy will go crazy over this! We should be having a Sunday daytime meet on the 21st!

Well even "sir" Ross seems to think the Prancing Horse has the quickest car so far... But of course we don't know what fuel loads anyone has been running... oh and a estimated 30,000+ turn up to watch Alonso pedal his car round the track today!
-
They also seem to have "Marble-effect" paint on some of the aero parts too! :gag:

Well I'm in Amersham now so it's not such a trek, we'll have to arange for you to pop over and meet the two latest additions... the Mk3 and Mattias! So the Passat CC was a no-goer then? -
Yip 90's Sony Multi-changer cable... leave it under the carpet... the other end will be in the dash..... somewhere....
-
Same car. Different Photoshop paint job! The new W01... is a lot different... longer wheelbase, triangular airbox... Shark-fins on side pods...etc
-
Anyone know of the interchangeability of the KR/9a/ABF heads (and which flows best?)
-
Erm nope, it's completely different... and a fair bit Uglier than last year's car... oh and in very "Mclaren" style colour scheme albeit Silver/black (as is the Sauber too.. damn it Peter paint it PINK!)

OI! Philbert! Where's my plateholder? Nice looking Bimmer needs black wheels though! ;) -
look at the torque plot at the top, the green line is KR cams :) In fact look at the other plots too, the aftermarket cams all shift the torque curve up the rev range, which is how they produce the extra peak power best way to get good low end torque is a 9A inlet cam :) So judging from those maps... a 9a with stock inlet, KR exhaust and a bit of timing adjustment's the way to go?
-
Plate Holders work... but they do need screwing on... :epicfail:
