biggrim replied to kvwloon's topic in General Car Chat
Wouldn't have recommended a rear mount cycle carrier for the C because of the spoiler. If it clears it ok and there is no rubbage then nice work matey 8) -

Congtatulations mate. I can just picture the youngster with her new toys... a busted G-lader and some tools. Seriously though, that's great news :)

Yay I was right for once :D

If you go to http://www.performancealloys.com you can select by car and go throught the process of picking the corrado. When you get asked the manufacturers you would like to view, click on speedline. There is a rim that is VERY similar to the speedlines that came on the VR (only 4-bolt and slightly different) I think

I'm pretty sire one of them tried it on with me once and he couldn't catch me. Let him draw level then booted it and got about 4-5 cars on him then had to slow down for a foundabout. Did the same at the next one only let him edge ahead and made my point  made me chuckle 8)

Was that not the guy who was doing research into the human body's resistance to high G-force over a short time? IIRC he pulled about 30g's over 1 millisecond and survived. Although his retina detached from his eye etc, he lived to tell the tale and conclude his research. Crazy fool

Fraser (KARMANN), was sure I spotted you going the towards Paisley on the motorway. I was heading home from DM's and looked like you going in the opposite direction. It was the rear lights that gave it away cause I couldn't see the number plate. Was it you? Hello 8)

So what did you do to your C over the bank holiday??
biggrim replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
I bought £175 worth of speakers to replace the existing originals for the wonderous sum of £51.60 :-P So far only managed to get time to fit the rears and one of the door card speakers. Should sond much better when it's all done. Apart from that I was working :( But was on double time today so 8) -
Do you still have the portective plastic film on the plate? If you do, you "should" be able to cut through it using a hack saw then sand the edges. If you don't have the protective covering, you might be able to cover it in gaffa tape or something and cut it. Can anyone back me up on this one, or tell me I'm a dumbass? Hope this helps mate 8)
