I dont think it's got anything to do with whether its synth or not its the viscosity that's more mportant with what your describing.
-
I ve ran both and the Pro S gives me better pressure at temp, less consumption and also doesnt run as hot.
-
Yep! The Silkolene Pro s is fully synth 10w50. Search for "oil man" he's got some good posts on here explaining the benifts of a good synth oil.
-
VR6 then if you want big power .... supercharger / Turbo conversions a plenty.
-
Silkolene Pro S 10w50, although its a fair bit more expensive then the synta silver, but it's a top end oil.

I dont think you'll ever get a vr6 to sound like a saxo  I ve got one but its sat in the garage so not sure on the sound front but cant see it making any louder though. -
Just a quick one and yes I have used the search... :? just fitted a VT comp front mount .. lovely. I am also going to replace the gearbox mount with the uprated solid one, only problem is which one? On the GSF site theres two numbers: 31145 GEARBOX MOUNTING-REAR G2 1.05 8/83 >7/87 31146 GEARBOX MOUNTING-REAR G2 1.6 Diesel 8/83 >7/92 31145 is one I ve found on the search ..

If anyones interested , I've started a prototype pod to go where the ashtray is which will take two 52mm gauges and will require no mods to the console  8) pics!
-
Looks ace! lovely standard example! ... so whens the manual conversion coming
-
Was that with the bonnet open? Run the car with the bonnet shut and you will see a loss. Sucking in hot air from the engine bay air will loose you power over the standard air box! Best filters as already mentioned are either the bmc cda or a Carbonio as both draw on cooler air from the wheel arch and not the engine bay.

Yeah no worries Kev, all clear!
-
Yep cheers Kev sent out the leads without waiting for my cheque to clear. Top Man!

Suspension is where my money would go. -
Is it worth chipping? Or cheapest mod 4 a little more power?
steve @ replied to iow_corrado_g60's topic in Engine Bay

OBD1 yes OBD2 no. Go to stealth for a custom map rather than an off the shelf job. -
If your planning on a supersprint back box (supersprint backbox is quite large and well packed for noise suppression) then yeah I would fit a small silencer just after the cat.
-
I ve got a set of red rears on the way. Will post my findings :D
-
Well its all done. System is now supersprint silenced decat into a small silencer then a pipe run to the supersprint backbox. Pleased with the results 8) . The reason I had this done Pete was due to a blowing centre section and also the middle section didnt fit to well.
-
Remove the largest silencer. Usually the one just before the rear beam. Or remove both
