LOl I am doing the same. Will be just the silenced decat and with a supersprint backbox!
-
LOL nice! Think i ve decided to go for a small silencer just after the cat and delete the supersprint middle box.

Having a centre section made up on monday. I am running a supersprint system at the mo (2 boxes) along with a supersprint silenced decat. Its pretty much stock quiet at the mo. Now i have two options remove the centre box(before the rear beam) and have a pipe run from the decat to the back box 8) or fit a small silencer just after the cat. My question is, is anyone running just a back box silenced system? if so does it rasp? and boom at certain speeds? Cheers Steve

Might be worth renewing the brake fluid. It supposed to be changed every 2 years on the service interval. But I try and change mine once a year. I am runing the standard set up at the moment and to be honest its fine for day to day driving. but I still plan to go 288mm next year.

Dont drive the car untill you no how much oil is in it!! quick way to shaft the engine. The above measurement (length) will tell you if you have the right dipstick.

Right basically need to replace my front mount. I know VF and VT make these but they are ££££££ (but alot cheaper in the states). I ve been searching on tinternet and it seems the lower half of the mount in the weak part(liquid filled). Turn 2 used to make replacement up rated versions for these, but have since long gone. Without taking a standard mount apart does anyone now how the bottom half connects(looks to be about an inch thick disk shape with a centre hole for the bolt, i assume the bolt goes through the whole mount, upper and lower? Thinking of maybe having a lower section made up at work.

Steering wheel helps alot, the standard item looks so dated. Also metal gauge dial surrounds are pleasing on the eye. Next on my list for the interior is a set of audi tt pedals.

Any pics? whats the difference between early and late?

22 mile round trip a day, keeps the fuel costs down :D

been talked about loads best to use the search option. With 312mm brakes you will need 16" wheels min.

I am in the same position as you at the moment. I am looking to have the chains + tensioners etc along with a new clutch fitted. I am also going to have some 264 cams fitted along with new followers. I did/ am think about the head gasket, stem seals etc but its making good power (at 148K) and not using oil so might hold back on that as its another 400-500 for the complete head overhaul. And as they say if its not broke dont fix it!

Might see 10-15bhp and 10Lb/ft torque with a decent remap (stealth). If you dont plan on doing much more to the engine then I would just go with a big bore throttle body and a remap .. this with your exhaust and filter should work well.

Liking the rears, although why dont they bring out all reds ... go on, go on, go on!
-
Harsh! thing is its probably to go on another dub .... :mad2: Maybe try ebay ..

Under the bonnet you will have 6 spark leads, if you have a dizzy you will have an extra lead. So basically coilpack = 6 leads, dizzy =7. I'll be ordering a set soon as I ve just found a split in one of my bremi jobbies.

A bmc cda airfilter is a good place to start, move the carbon canister to use the space for an airfeed. Nice mod to start with gives around 7bhp. Decat, cat back exhaust, big bore throttle body are a few more smallish mods. After that the price starts to really increase such as .... shorther final drive, cams, remap, flywheel, under drive light pullies, VSR manifold, 6 branch, head work ..... then there's FI ... lol.
