Get the VR you wont look back ..
-
VR is more front heavy yes but has a wider track and uprated suspension.
-
Not sure on the fitting although cant be to hard. I'd say the system will need depresurising yes. I am sure leaving the car overnight will do the trick.
-
Nice one. i'll have a look on mine. Although I seem to get 1,2 and 4 at the moment :?
-
If you mean the heater control plastic cover (goes over the three dials) I ve got one you can have.
-
The dial is going to move when your on off throttle. How ever if its moving a fair amount with constant throttle then its got to be wiring/gauge/lambda fault.
-
Not an argument, its true :) remove any likely sources for crack initiation (sorry fatigue engineer by trade LOL)
-
looking good there my man. You have sold me on the chrome door pulls :D
-
Yeah i ve got one. Which model do u have? mine is the cheaper jobby but still does 0-60, 1/4 and bhp ATW.
-
Yeah rear or gearbox mount most probably.
-
The belt has a self adjusting tensioner fitted so shouldnt be loose. So look at the tensioner first. As for the belt its pretty straight forward to change. You need to screw a bolt( M8 ) of the top of my head into the thread on the top of the tensioner, this will release the tension and allow you to slide the belt off. Fitting is just the reversal of removing.

Side lights look great, where did you source them from?
-
I always pay outright rather than borrow / finance. I already have student debts to pay so the last thing I need is another loan to repay.

I'll try and get pics tonight for you. ^^ as above make sure you have the right sender for the dails i.e 10bar for yours. I am using the audi gauge so using the audi sender(5 bar off the top of my head)
-
The sender just screws into the right hand thread (looking from the front of the car) on top of the oil filter housing. Remove the oil sender and screw the new one in. I can get some pics if you really need them.

Horrible rattling, any clues? VR6, PROBLEM FOUND, NOT

Hire a trailer if you have someone who can tow it. There about £35 a day. I ve trailed two cars back from london (60+) miles before. By far the cheapest. -
Bugger :( O well cheers for the info.

Just to run this past u guys. . . . 8x17 35ET (5x112) with the thinnest adapters I can find ,20mm, brings to 15Et right? is this possible on a Vr lowered 35mm ( i am thinking not)? couldn't really find much on adapters are 5x100 to 5x112 15mm available i.e to get a 20ET? Whats the lowest ET you can run on a VR without rolling the arches? any info would help. Cheers

Good time to get the throttle enlarged as well

mines (VR6) on 150k on original chains and clutch. no smoke no oil or water usage. no nasty chain noise still produces the goods i.e quick 8) . but then again its not a particularly very highly stressed engine anyway.
-
In a year of ownership of my VR6 corrado I ve only had to replace the water pump and cam pos sensor. This is on a 11 year old car with 150k on the clock....
-
Harsh. Hopefully they'll slip up.
