check all of your vacuum pipes for leaks/splits and then get the timing checked by someone who knows what they're doing (if they don't disconnect the blue temp sender, take the keys off them, call them a muppet and drive away! ;) )

erm, that part's name is "BROKEN". (The Ford part is 7mo 128 101 mho. The Ford part number is 7364573 and it costs about £21)

Last message before I remove the water pump from my VR6...
Henny replied to Funkster's topic in Engine Bay
90 is pretty much spot on for the water temp in any corrado... If anything that's a little lower than average for a VR! 8) -
I think Awesome has just moved... details will be on their website ;)

j-k definately...

So, the vehicle handover didn't quite go to plan...
Henny replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
kevhaywire, now imagine that engine in a Corrado... ;) -
don't forget to put oil in it! ;)  Hope it all goes well... It's well nerve racking the first time you take a project out for a drive, paranoia-city! Get some vids of it, and hopefully I'll see ya at York sunday evening... 8)

tell 'em bollocks... Get on the autotrader and on here and print off a load of the for sales ads.... I got £3.5K after they offered me £2K for J-DUB due to arguing lots (J-DUB was considered as a normal Corrado after they backed out of the agreed value due to a form that wasn't filled in properly... ) Send them copies of all of your reciepts too, that goes to show that the car was well looked after... ;) Good luck!

Green J plate G60 in Congleton last night at around 6:45... Male driver was on the phone and seemed totally dis-interested when I pulled up along side him in traffic and had a long look at his car... Anyone here?

AVOID Pro-Tune in Stafford at all Costs - GOT IT BACK
Henny replied to Blue_Joe's topic in Suppliers Forum
Steve does have that certain something about him doesn't he? Glad you've got it all sorted out now Blue_Joe, let's hope she's back on the road soon... 8) -
I got them installed at Stealth at the same time as a full gearbox rebuild (with 250K miles on the box and a new 220+BHP engine, I'd have been stupid not to rebuild the box!) Vince stripped the old VR box for spares and fitted the gears at the same time he rebuilt my box, so it didn't actually cost much to get them fitted... I also had an LSD installed at the same time and the whole lot came to £1200 including the VR6 box, rebuild, LSD, labour and VAT... Bloody good deal if you ask me... 8)

jesus Kev, that's definate overkill! Nice work! 8) I thought mine had a fair old chunk of sound deadening in it, but it's only double layer at the most... Jim? I'll take you out in mine at some point before I throw the mad engine in it and you'll be amazed at how quiet it is... it's pretty much rattle free even though the dash undertrays have almost no screws holding them in at the moment (not my fault, car came like that and I've not been arsed to put a load in yet... ;) ) Mine's also had the floor and (from the looks of things) the bulkhead done with dynamat... they're even done the inside of the dash! :| Someone, somewhere went a little mad when they had my car before I got my mitts on it...
-
for reference, both front AND rear wings were more flared on the later models... the difference is around 8 to 10mm.
-
84mm pistons WILL fit into a PG/1H block.... ...and then the engine will last for about 10 minutes of running before the centre two bores crack and become one large wet oily mess...  Ignore the spacing on the head gasket, look at a 1H or PG block from the crank end and you'll realise (if you have any mechanical experience) just why no-one uses more than 83mm pistons... It's a bit close in there with all of the oil and waterways around the cylinders!
-
Scruffythefirst, ah, so you also follow the brute force and destruction school of oil filter removal... 8)

G60 MFA Boost figures slightly low, ideas? Timing advance?
Henny replied to juloesG60's topic in Engine Bay
yup.... and a vacuum leak can make it run like an utter dog! -
the rubber strips down the side just peel off with some heat and elbow grease to remove the sticky stuff... ;) The "roof rack mounts" aren't... They're actually a trim to cover the join between the roof panel and the side panels and has a 2cm (ish) deep channel underneith it.... details can be found HERE 8) (and it's even the same colour! )
-
erm, kinda both... would want one for the engine that's about to come out of J-DUB and go into H-YYU and probably one for the engine that's going to go back into J-DUB... ;)

'lo and Welcome to The Forum.... 8) I'm interested to see where people reccommend for you to go as I live in a similar area and need a paint shop soon too... :) Mechanical wise, Awesome GTI are pretty good if a touch pricey, but they know their stuff... 8)

I may be up for one of this kits too... 8)

1.8 16V doesn't have a blue temp coolant sensor... ;)

Guys, Please DO NOT advertise illegal copies of any CDrom media on this forum. The Corrado Forum cannot appear to condone piracy and if anyone starts offering copies then their post will be deleted and a PM warning will be sent to them... I know nobody has yet offered to sell/swap copies but I wanted to point this out before anyone did... 8) Thanks.
