I used VW's DX bolt washer...

Cool... sounds like it's gonna be a winner system for that price then... 8)

I've just bought a TrakM8 which sounds very similar to this trackbox system.... The major differences are that it can be wired into your alarm so that it alerts you if the alarm has been triggered.... it's also got 2 or 3 other inputs you can wire into it, and most importantly, it has a 12V out that can be triggered via a text message which can be used to kill the engine if you ever get carjacked! 8) It'll also tell you your fastest speed, 0-60 times and acts as a black box recorder too, and you can hook it into a laptop and use it as a GPS source for a navigation program! 8) However, it's not cheap (£450 or £500 for the thatcham Q rated version) but IMHO a well worthy expenditure... 8)

Gav, the main earth strap is in the same location for all corrados... 8)

I did mine up to 80Nm and put a SHED load of thread lock on it... That sod's not gonna come out again! ;)

sounds like a flat battery to me.... Could be the standard ignition switch fault though I suppose... :| -
if it's a standard steering wheel, yes that bit just pulls off too to reveal the BIG nut which holds the wheel onto the column... 8)

AND reliable! ;)

I know that feeling well matey... ;) Betcha it'll turn out to be something really simple... Good luck... 8)

yup... The hand brake light lets you know that there's something going on with the brake system... It lights up when: The handbrake is on The brake fluid is low and on some cars, when the front pads are worn to a certain level and need replacing it will come on when you press the brake peddle Odds are that your brake fluid level is just slightly too low and the vibration from the engine at higher revs is causing the sensor to trigger and put the light on... Second guess would be a sensor wire for the pad wear sensors that has shorted out on something, although this is not as common as low brake fluid... ;) 8)

Cool... I'd have expected nothing less from you Phat, but I though that I'd chip in anyway just in case you'd missed something... ;) 8)
-
Cool idea... 8) I'm impressed you managed to get all that lot into the boot as well as the spare! :D
-
Check your brake fluid level... ;)

http://www.thinkauto.co.uk sells all of the bits you need... 8) Can't post a pic of one fitted to a VR 'cos I've got a G60!  I think that it just replaces the standard oil cooler, although it may bolt over the original one on a VR, I'm not sure... I know that you need to buy an end cap with the kit to fit the sandwich plate though... :?
-
check your engine's earth... you know the score with it, make sure it's clean, got a good contact with the gearbox, and is tight and hasn't gone green and cruddy.... :? I've seen all sorts of running problems that were down to naff earths...

quick tip for the future, use the edit button to edit your mistakes rather than creating a new thread! ;) I've removed the dead thread and re-titled this one with the title from the dead one so that it makes sense again 8) The boot install looks neat... Does it make the boot floor flat now? The second head unit is a neat job too... I know how much of a pain it can be to mod the center consoles, and that looks good... 8)

does your rear wash wipe work? If it doesn't then the pipe for the spray has probably split as it goes through the hinge and that will pump water into the boot... :?
-
go here: http://www.dubforce.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=900 And scroll down a bit, there's a list of photo websites there.... 8)

sheesh, where do I start with a favourite?!? I think at the moment, bodywise it's the moonroof... it makes the car so much lighter inside and it WORKS! :-P Interior the leather is a lovely with my center console coming a close second and my messed with clocks a close third... Engine wise... erm, the engine as a whole! :D Running gear, probably corner weighting followed by Brakes followed by the wheels... Dunno about the gearbox mods yet, as I'm still taking it easy as the fuelling's a mile off... :? Ah, hell, I just like all the mods I've done... I suppose that's why I've done 'em!  8)

Hinge... that's the word my brain couldn't find... Ta Kev... 8)

I was busy doing late night laps of the M60 (both directions! ;) ) to get some shake down milage onto J-DUB before the treck to inters... and then servicing her/tightening things the following evenings... Yeah, seriously boring keeping the car under 3K rpm and going round and around, but it needed doing! ;)
-
it's also REALLY important where the hanger is on the blade (that's the wrong word, but it describes the bit I want and I'm too sleep deprived at the moment to think of the correct work! ) The length's is important as well, but if that hanger isn't in the right place, the blades will hit the windscreen surround, or the other blade... :?

Custom made... Best fit ever, and if you find a good place, you can choose how loud it is... ;) 8)

yeah, we have a couple around here H20 REP, H20 RAT and H20 WET all on Waterboard cars! 8)
