    Beeping Noise?

it's possible that you've just got a slightly over-sensitive oil pressure warning switch... I dunno what they're like on a VR, but the ones on the 4cylinder cars are a sod for causing annoying problems every now and then! Anyone? what are they like on the VR6 then?
  3. http://www.j-w-racing.co.uk/acatalog/CAMP.html http://www.forcedinductionmotorsport.com/Gauges.htm Try those two links... 8) Thought about getting one of these for my car, but went off the idea so just plonked 3 gauges into my center console instead.... It's a cool bit of kit though, although the "Fish" mode is a bit... erm... tacky...

    12 Point star bits !!

    that's the rail I have at home... 8) ;)
  6. you need to have the window up to have access (although very limited if the door card is still on...) to the lock mechanism... Stop playing with the switch now in case it goes down and then won't go back up again!
  7. Having seen this car at Inters (and parked next to it! ;) ) full respect is due to you, this is a nice clean 'rado with nicely thought out performance mods... Sounds and goes nice too by the look of your videos! :D Just loose the BMW badges and it'll be 8) ;)
  8. I loved the Porsche 914 rear badge... Genuine VW-Porsche logo.. 8) Very cool with that interior...

    12 Point star bits !!

GSF sell 'em for the head bolts (a nice long one that reaches in easily... 8) ) Halfords sell 'em for everything else... 8)
  10. It's a link to the Admin part of the Dubforce Forums so only Darren can see it... It's about a possible Joint Group thrash shared between Us and Dubforce at the Bruntingthorpe circuit.... Dates and times/costs to be confirmed, just trying to judge possible interest at the moment.... 8) http://www.bruntingthorpe.com/ MAP
  11. using the search gives me: http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10282 ;) Full details on wiring colours here... 8) Oh, and Clarion are actually rather good stereos... not flash or fancy, but sound great and their range of TV head units is excellent...
  12. OZ Saturns are very similar to Borbet Cs and were available in 16" to fit corrado although I've yet to see any fitted to one... 8) 16" tyre prices are almost exactly half way between 15 and 17 inch tyres funnily enough! ;) and they are available at all good stockists! :D I'm running 7.5x16 BorbetC alloys with a 30 offset (with 10mm spacers at the front to clear the Brembos) with 205 45 16 Yokohama A539s all around.... LOADSA grip, and look good too... 8)
  13. Phat swapped the ENTIRE engine, subframes, arms, shafts the lot, all in one hit...
  14. I'll be there again, and this year I'll remember my licence  and will be sprinting J-DUB! 8)

    what model to buy?

the first thing most G60 owners do is to get the charger rebuilt with new seals and bearings and a new charger timing belt... Then at least you know that it isn't gonna grenade on you... ;) The modded blowers tend to be ported out and smoothed out to get the maximum air flow outta them and some of the seals and bearings may well be uprated too.... Chip and pulley make a BIG difference, with the toothed belt conversion starting to become a must have (a LOT of people were very interested in the one fitted to mine at Inters! ;) ) There's also a lot of people removing the boost return pipe which will cause the charger to run cooler and thus more efficiently and gives a mad boost dump sound when you let off the throttle... A decent (mocal or similar) oil cooler is also a must if you intend to start modding the engine... The most annoying common fault is the bolt which goes into the crank which holds all the pulleys on... it has a nasty habbit of shearing off..... good news is that it's under £5 for a new uprated one and reasonably easy to fit... :)
  16. Dazzy, that's the route I think I'm gonna go down... the weight saving can't hurt either! ;) If I get a puncture on one of my fronts I'd have to swap a rear onto it anyway and then put the spare onto the rear as there is NO way a space saver will clear my Brembos!
  17. yeah, Euro sell the same wrong one... :|

    what model to buy?

nope, there's not a lot in it between the VR and the G60's fuel consumption when driving hard... :)

    G60 Engine change

yup, that's how I did it too... undo everything in sight with it supported on a couple of trolley jacks, then lift it off the rear mounts and pull to see if you've missed anything... If you haven't it should just pull straight out the front of the car 8)
  20. (I'll fill that bit in Phat, ;) ) Bleeding it is EXACTLY the same as doing a brake cylinder, except you'll need to pull the peddle back up each time, and will need to give it a quite few pumps by hand once it's bled through to get it completely OK again... I've been told that it's actually a self bleeding system on the clutch, but I've yet to get it into my head how that works... :? Oh, and don't try using a cheap easy bleed kit, you need someone on the peddle, and you opening and closing the vlave each time in my experience...
  21. hang over? oooh yes.... :| Definately needed that Steak sandwich for breakfast! ;) Good effort with the BBQ Daz... I can't wait to have a look at my photos (some will be posted later this evening... others probably won't ever make the light of day ;) )
  22. Car looked stunning mate 8) Some lovely little details to go with the major mods too... lovely... 8) It was good to chat to you too, although I still think that polishing rag has been surgically attached to your hand! ;)
  23. This fuse may also be providing the permanent live to the stereo as well... it is possible that you are over-loading it... (Guess how I found this out this weekend! ;) )
  24. yeah, I got some pics... I'll post 'em when I get home this evening... 8) Welcome to the forum... 8)
  25. YAY! That's a great feeling to have finally been spotted (and recognised!) in my C! 8) (We were stopped 'cos Dubwhizz was almost falling asleep at the wheel in his Golf, so we did a driver change and pro-plus and redbull intake... :) ) Also, L plate Green VR6 on the M6 around J4 and a Red Corrado who both driver and passenger gave me a wave just before we got stuck in traffic on the M6 around J15... Anyone here?
