So managed to get the new Gruven pulley fitted, some spacers and pulleys line up. One thing though, once the belt is spinning it's got a wobble and doesn't look true. Not sure if this is the belt that's slightly deformed or the other pulley at fault? So either need to try a new belt or a different front pulley but the pulley looks fine. The adaptor for this pulley needed to be shaved down, it's been shaved again yesterday so it's now flush when it's slides on the tensioner. See pic. It's not rubbing and full speed is back and the car feels great again. So that's good news. Just want to see the belt to round without any wobbles... Had the new spacers fitted to the front and stance looks good now. Debating on trying the 35mm adaptors on the rear as I still have space. Also, next week, my obd2 loom is coming out, it's sellable as the aux fan wiring can be amended and for someone that needs an obd2 loom almost 100 percent complete along with engine hardness - give me a shout. I will take mine out, sit them next to one another, re fit and make sure it's all neat and that my ballsing Aux pump works! Then I can re fit everything and finally have the interior all where it should be. It's been ages coming.

Very difficult to find, complete with bulb holder. Used for side lights on the American SLC/Corrado and often used as indicators in the UK. £95 inc delivery with bulb holders. Rams

No problem.. Please PM your address details and if you can pay pal please that would be great. It's Ramsay Omar - [email protected] Cheers Rams ---------- Post added at 8:02 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:01 PM ---------- I may even have a brand new bearing for it which I bought a few months back as a spare from the thread on here to the original bearings. I will check my van for it and let you know if you do need it?

Nice condition billet aluminium idler pulley, comes as seen without bearing. Believe bearings are around £4/5 pounds from the net. Much stronger than the plastic type. Made by http://www.gruvenparts.com in the States. Bargain at £25 plus a fiver postage if you can't collect. £30 delivered. Rams

When I replaced mine I bought it from GSF and was the correct oem matrix. Think it's a French make but forgotten now.

Nice Bm or Merc, c or e class estate or a 525/530 d Touring. The 520 - not sure if its under powered. The wife needs to be able to get out of sticky situations with a squirt on the throttle. No puns intended.... Even the current shape 3 series Touring looks smart and not as bulky as the 5. Result with the insurance, so a bit of persuasion and evidence did the trick. Good news. Are you into the 4x4 scene? There's a few vehicles that would open up to you with that budget. Range or Disco? Good family wagons. Best bet is to drive as many as poss and get a feel for what's nice and easy to live with.

Don't know where all the text went? Vanished... Anyway, new Gruven pulley to be fitted Monday then pullies can be aligned properly and full power should be resumed. This is my new daily also

You learn something everyday. Very interesting

Hello and welcome - my first C was a G60, remember it well. Good luck with it all and hope to see some pictures

Mine only illuminates red or blue I do believe

I have an alpine Ida x305s with the Bluetooth phone ad on and works very well, I have a parrot in my van and sometimes it plays up and you've got to mount the screen somewhere and this is probably the best reason for getting a stereo that's all built in- looks neater IMO.

Nice results! I remember talking to you at Stanford Hall about charging. Well done, it's a good feeling and the more you go out in it the better it feels. Hopefully it's brought the spark back for you, I remember you saying that you were not sure to keep it or not and I think I said if you charge it you will love it all over again. Happy for you buddy

Try bleeding the clutch and see if that sorts it. Worth a try. If its just started doing it and you haven't been changing fluid or replacing items connected to the clutch fluid then it's likely to be the post above...

Hi Tom, I will check how far you are away from me but sounds great to me. I will wait another few days and if nobody local prevails I would happily buy yours. What do you want for it? Cheers ---------- Post added at 1:22 AM ---------- Previous post was at 1:19 AM ---------- Thanks Owen, I did have one and had it powder coated and its been lost a long time ago. Just noticed the other day when I was looking under the car when it was on the ramp. I had bought all new clips and screws for it but realised there was no metal plate there. Doh If you can find it, please give me a shout.

There are companies that make them to fit, try eBay - they are specific to Corrado and not Audi. I've got them in my car. Sometime you have to shave the plastic part that actually locates to the door so when you pull the lever it doesn't dowel the plastic it sits into as usually the chrome lever is a bit thicker than the standard plastic one. It's the chrome audi locks on the edge of the door that people use as they are the same locks but came standard in chrome in some Audi's.

I'm not one to usually say things in these circumstances but I understand what you are both saying but bear in mind, this is a raw experience and one that probably makes you feel worse as it fully sinks in so from your wording it could be misconstrued because its so raw. If you had this conversation a year down the line it would be clearer to read between the lines broadly speaking. All agree that you should claim what your entitled to but Nigel is saying he's entitled to more due to the mileage and condition etc etc. Nigel can obviously speak for himself but I feel he just wants support and is freaked out and reading things about' people over claiming' and affecting premiums is not something he wants to hear right now.

Looking for a rust free driver side door preferably from a 1995/6 car. Can be a naked door, i.e without glass and handle etc. Front bumper, can be bare but also require the metal strip that attaches to the splitter and bumper to secure it in place. This can be a bit rusty as will be blasted and coated. Can collect if not too far from Bournemouth. Thank you Rams

Well that's good, I did wonder if I will end up doing what you did but I guess you will know when enough is enough. I think probably more people miss you not having a C than you do. It's always been Kev and the Corrado! So the engine- I have a spare bottom end and top end from an obd2. So has the extra oil outlet. Pistons etc all removed so both are bare. The plan was to buy all the Woosners and the likes and build it up so its as bullet proof as can be and then up the boost and charge cooler etc. Recently I've been thinking, well, if I just stick that 80mm pulley on and it does go bang it's an excuse to crack on with the other engine build. But I think she can take it. Chains, tensioner, cooling system, albeit no working Aux pump, drivetrain etc is like new. I do need bigger brakes as when you are in boost range and need to back off the obd2 doesn't quite shut down straight away like the obd1 does and when your hitting the brakes there's a moment of nothing till the boost drops off and they start biting harder. My 288 aren't really up to the job but suffice if your not stupid. I read that the obd2 learns more of your driving style and as its electronically controlled there's a smoother transition between shifts as the throttle hasn't fully backed off. Do you concur? I've for to remove the charger next week to change the pullies etc so I think I'm going to try the 80mm out. If I'm at 332 Don't forget the .4 lol, maybe I could see the magic 350..... Would It be a simple task for Vince to re map as in not take as long to do? Or would it just be a quicker pick up and not necessarily more Brake Horse power?

Firstly Nigel very sorry to hear that news. Obviously glad nobody is seriously hurt. Your best bet is to get as much comparable evidence together so you can prove your claim. If you can send these details with brief description of differences and don't accept their first offer till they come back to you with a higher figure. Your likely to get compensation for all sorts I would imagine so either way, this should bump it higher than what the original cost of the car was so I wouldn't be too chancing but equally stick to your guns. Did you have an agreed value? Otherwise insurance companies will give you a kind of book value. If you can find out what that is you should be able to work out how far you can or can't push them. Bearing in mind insurance companies when backed into a corner will look for ways out so treat it calmly but positively and I'm sure you will get what you want. Keep us updated with your progress

Yes I'm at 9.1- used the schimmel spacer/gasket. Bobby ran 18 psi, your right. Although he had the charge cooler and 4 inch MAF and shorter pipe work so I imagine I would loose some boost due to how mine is setup so until then I wondered if I could get away with it? I imagine that with my boost loss I would be around the 15 psi mark with the 80mm pulley... I'm getting impatient again and really I should wait for the new engine rebuild but it is tempting. If you hear of an engine that's been rebuilt or someone has bough all the parts and changed their plan please give me a shout.. Do you secretly miss playing with the Corrado or are you over them now? You've been a great help over the years btw. I've been using this forum for at least 10 years now and you've always had great input.

I see, there's another splitter that leads off to the new location... Got it. I will see what I can find out.... I've seen some tiny batteries but question how good they are as I don't use my car as a daily and sometimes not for a week or more. The arm rest is not a bad shout really, what about the spare wheel well?

I kind of follow you. When you say off set eye do you mean the actual shape towards the ends of the ARB? What ARB are you using?
