    Okay I confess I bought one on the last 2 VDO guages off heritage at £366... I thought it was steep at the time and didn't want to buy, but my old man persuaded me when he said he would go Dutch.

    Was never a fan of white but I have two white cars.. The rococo in white with black sunroof would be my choice... White is nice when it's clean.

    got a few projects on the go at the moment... seats are out for a good hoover. and been cleaning and waxing the wheel arches.... bought a new toy which keeps getting in the way with car progress... A table tennis table :) when the weather warms up I guess it will go in the garden. and normal garage activity will resume. will try and do a brake fluid change at the weekend.

    Nice.. I guess we're similar age 40. My second car at 19 was a j plate corrado 1.8 16v with recaros bought it with 20k miles on the clock. Had to make do with it as I really wanted a golf gti mk2 in oak green

    Loved the Astra GTE mk2. I'm showing my age I was into nova sr's and GTE when I was learning to drive.

    Thanks harrier... Not worth me going out of my way to do at the moment then.... I had something in my mind of about7.50. But that may of been a leisure battery we had on our boat.

    anyone taken an old battery to the scrappy recently..... any idea what scrap car batteries are worth these days.... I'm guessing 6kg lead
