  1. Yeah the first thing I'd do with a new car, regardless of whether it had just been done or not, would be to change the Oil.....an easy job and certainly a worthwhile thing to learn to do when keeping these older cars.. Use synta silver...about £15 for VW IIRC
  2. "After well baiting the bird table trap Cat looks on in disappointment after it attracts the wrong type of fat bird..."
  3. You have to buy the arms and blades separately. Just found this in the knowledge base.... Clickage.... As for finding 2 aero arms of the same length and correct length in a breakers yard, that might be a bit optimistic
  4. Yeah, the sticky pads where the rubbish that the morons at halfords first pointed me to, they didn't even know the loctite stuff existed in their shop!
  5. Great one KADVR6, how did his mate and the other people in the petrol station react to this going on? Or where they all just too terrified of this nutter with his Corrado?
  6. The stuff i used from halfords was a loctite product, had a bottle of single use glue and a piece of gauze all made specifically for the job. Both surfaces have to be nice and clean, i had to scrape and sand the metal bit on my rear view mirror, i then cleaned the bit it fixes onto with meths....The arsey bit is that once you've put the gauze and glue onto the mirror you have to sit and hold it in place for something like 3 minutes! Bonds fantastically well, mines been on for around 6 months now and even after numerous knocks and such its still stuck solid.
  7. Yeah, just like putting a normal one on.
  8. Humm yes your right. My mistake.
  9. I do believe so, its the arms that are the key to their success...there just so strong! I tried those retro fit ones on the front of mine not so long ago, the blade would only wipe at the edges thus proving just how crap the standard arms are.
  10. Correct, just checked etos. 2 x pass side lupo gti aero arm = £30.88 + VAT 2 x aero blade = £11.00 + VAT Which comes to the grand total of........£98.42 inc VAT
  11. The only place you'll get them from is VW direct and i think that'll cost you in the region of £100. That group buy isn't strictly a group buy, just click the link place your order and they'll be with you in a couple of days which to be honest is the minimum you'll have to wait if you order them from VW.
  12. With some chopping, braising and crimping you can modify a front one to go on the back. or just do what i did and go for a retrofit one, you can get them from here for around £15 http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/
  13. Welcome to the wonderful world of corrado ownership! Your bank account will never be the same again!
  14. GSF ones are apparently heated...
  15. is it the "windows slot seal" your talking about, if so they are £34.82+vat from VW
  16. Swapping the inlet cam from a KR into a 9a is a common, cheap and stealthy mod. So yes this is true (do a search and look in the knowledge base as its been covered a few times before) and no it shouldn't cause any problems.
  17. So it is true about men and sports cars then? superb!

    soundproofing?

Yeah, tis a trick that's been talked about on here before. I tried it in my previous car and it was OK, still wasn't a patch on the proper stuff.
  19. Were they going down a very steep hill? Speedo sounds a bit optimistic.
  20. Just reading from a google search, it appears that so long as your car passes an emissions test using the test based on your car having a cat, its fine not to have one on there.
