  1. Get the exhaust sorted! The pipe the couples onto the front of the centre box has started to blow and i'm a bit concerned that if it falls onto the road while I'm moving it'll rip off the back box with it! Just don't know what to go for!
  2. Just been out cleaning the Corrado and it looked so nice shining in the sunlight i thought I'd update my gallery! lupo wiper arms

The "normal" lupo ones will look like the standard corrado ones
  4. Urmmm ok.........because you want to tell your insurance company???
  5. As far as i'm aware the only thing that'll be different in the brake setup will be the discs.
  6. Thread here.......Clickage Use the search
  7. More help with filter changing here Clickage
  8. I'm fairly sure that the VR chip is not soldered and can be easily changed
  9. The problem is that fuel economy can be affected by almost everything so creating a list would probably include almost every part of the car.... But if your looking for a place to start i'd always go for the cheap easy options...Is the air filter getting slightly blocked? Are the spark plugs, leads, distributor in good condition? You could then move onto checking out the numerous sensors that around the engine.....Does the exhaust have any holes in it? is the timing correct? has the density of air changed in some way since the car coming out of the factory ............the list could go on and on and on. Of course it will get worse with age due to parts wearing out, sensors braking and not being replaced. If you've got the budget for it change as much old for new stuff as you can...

    blown head gasket

Obviously i've got no idea of cost difference between here and there, but i'd say $800 is probably what it would cost around here.
  11. Just let him drive it when you get it, I'm sure that negativity will quickly change! Welcome to the forum

    Large backfire!

Poor ignition components could also cause this, check spark plugs, HT leads, distributor etc.
  13. Had the same problem when i bought mine, tried oil and whatnot but in the end for the sake of £20 i thought i might as well change the cable
  14. Well many answers could be possible. If it's overheating check that your thermostat is opening correctly, if it isn't you'll have half your coolant pipes cold and half hot. If this is the case your oil temps will also be high (as they seem to be) as you wont be getting the heat transfer. To be honest if you haven't got any record of either the thermostat being changed or the water pump I'd swap them both anyway. Even if neither have a problem (although i strongly suspect one of them does) they're cheap to buy and will sort any problem that you may get in the not so distant future with them...
  15. exactly, the engine will suck air faster than what the electric motor will provide anyway...
  16. I have a strong feeling your going to do the latter...
  17. I always go on the basis that if your not told what it actually is and there is only one little crappy picture of it than its going to be complete rubbish. This one has been talked about a number of times on here though......
  18. Water sounds fine, oil temps seem a bit on the high side considering the manual says that you should stop if your oil reached 142*, and to be honest i would have probably stopped way before it reached that. probably worth changing the oil temp sensor just to make sure its reading right.
  19. Yeah, look for the small before worrying about the big. Get those hoses checked like Rustynuts said, check the sparkplugs and other ignition parts, make sure both fuel pumps are going and change the fuel filter......basically just make sure you give it a good service.
  20. As far as i was aware the KR engines were all the same....

    100K+ Corrado

Looking through the for sale section on here, it would appear that VR's on this sort of mileage are £3.5k to £4k.....

    Lights!!!

I'm sure the you'll soon find that the words easy and cheap will be very rarely used when talking about a Corrado.
  23. 1 pin black sender should be the temp gauge sender, but that's the wrong side of the engine. Certainly a sensor of some sort, probably wont be oil pressure as you car would be shouting at you.....
