    I know what you're saying, I've been trying to justify it to my self for a bit. But I'm doing the engine anyway and the last thing I want is for the engine to rip the car to bits, and I suppose it would be almost a brand new car! Plus there isn't another car that I fancy at the mo, well apart from a 993 porsche turbo!!! James, who is the owner of JBS Autodesign is sh1t hot and has done some top conversions I'll try and find the website so people can have a look. I trust him totally, he's got one of those no bullsh1t attitudes.

    Not sure if I've asked this before, but.... My C started life in Hull full of lovely sea are and salt! It needed loads of underside welding last year and cost me a fortune just to keep, hence why I'm getting a hefty bank loan and making a proper job of engine and body. I went to see a bloke called James at JBS Autodesign (I'm sure they had a stand at inters, they're pretty into the REVO stuff at the min, and built a 300+bhp golf cab). He's a top bloke and a quality sparyer. After he fixed the bottom of the C he said it looked like it'd had a rough lifeand it could do with ripping apart and totally re-building. The price was around £3k, for a total resoration, he then said the paint would last another 10years. Just wondered what everyone thought. I'm putting a X-Flow in soon and don't want the fasted shed in Rotherham, and don't really want to waste money on a cheap job to last for 12months. I know his work is awesome and I trust him with the car, which in my book counts for a lot. What do y'all reckon? Cheers ppl
  3. I wish I had a saxo westcoast or a corsa sri, so I could get one of these and show it off!! My favorite bit is where it says "It sounds better than an actual turbo conversion!" I bet it makes a 1.1 go just as quick as a turbo too. What will they sell next, pre-recorded dump valve CDs?"   5. JESUS :shock: :shock: How did you manage to get that to fit?? Would it do a bit too much cooling on a g60 though? P.S. That's one hell of a spec list Biggerbigben!!!!
  6. I was asking this the other day. If you go for a reallye one then you have to get hold of a u-bend too, but if you go for one off the golf g60 I think it's pretty straight fit. I think. PM Henny he's the man to talk too, he pointed me in this direction and has done it him self.

    Cheers henny. I'll have a look about for a Golf G60 one then. The last thing I want is a powerfull engine full of hot air! Thats about what I was expecting to pay. Did that price from Darren include everything you needed?

    I've gathered that a few people on here have fitted a rallye intercooler to the front of their C. How hard is it to do and how much are we looking at? I heard that pitstop were making one, but still haven't had chance to get in touch (sorry beavis, I'm still stuck at work 12 hours a day!!)

  16. I've just had a little look on e-bay and found some Raceland Coilovers going for 41 quid at the min. Has anyone got these and what are they like, Also seen an Audi S2 intercooler for 50 would this be able to be made fit my G60??? Cheers ppl RACK
  17. I'm 23 with 5yrs NCB and I'm paying £880 TPFT at the min with mods declaired and a CAT1 alarm, oh and it's garaged. But after the X-Flow goes in it's going upto about £930.

  19. I finally got a piece of my mates CTR last night on a dual carrigeway and a bit of the twisty stuff. In all honesty there wasn't that much between my G60 and his. From low down I had him big time, but then the vtec kicked in, and he levelled up. Round the country lane though I made a right mess of him, the main reason being, the lanes are full of really tight bends and there's not much chance of getting to the top of the rev range, so the low down torque of the G60 really helpped. Can't fault it though, it's a quick car. I'll drive over him though, once the X-Flow is up and running :lol:

  21. It looks stunning mate! I was speaking to steve about it the other day, and from the conversation, the power I'll get will be worth the wait. Also the sould will be something else too! :mrgreen: While my mate is building the engine up, I might send the charger down for a check up if that's ok? Also, anymore news on the bigger IC? I've just got to start saving for the re-spray now (will the spending ever stop :lol: :lol: )
  22. The C handles better. I went from a Mk1 GTi (Lharsa Green and still miss the thing badly!!) The you still get the chuckability but it seems a bit more comtrolled in the G60. I used to love the power off the Mk1 too, out of the corners but with the charger always spinning you get a load of torque ready to drag you straight out of a bend. Trust me mate you won't be dissapointed going from a Mk1 GTi to a Rado G60. It seems to lack some of the rawness but with the extra power and torque your favourite country lanes seem just that little bit better. Right now I'm out of top gear presenter mode.
