I was about to put a post up asking, but my computer decided to crash. Was it pretty straight forward? And Where did you get the head from?
-
Cheers for that mate, I had heard about someone using some Audi caliper before but couldn't remember which model. I'll have to look in to it. The only thing that puts me off the Brembo's is buying 17's. But I have heard that they kick a*s!
-
I've been looking at some Hispec motorsport Billet 4pots, I think they are around the same price as the willwoods. I'd be interested in 4pots but don't fancy buying some new wheels. I'm running 16's at the min with a 37offset and have heard the brembos might fit. But I'd happily keep the 280mm discs on the front and just put some 4pots on. Anyone got any ideas???

Yeah, american's have been doing it for ages too. They always seems to swap the G-Lader for a turbo aswell. Was that one you and your mate built, featured in a mag, I think I remember seeing one somewhere and it was a right beast!! I think everyone is a bit excited cos you don't see many x-flows over here?
-
Nice one! I've had it for ages just never got round to putting it in, but I'll post it up here to as soon as it fries! I've been speaking to Darren about a x-flow for a bit and he said he was expecting around 300bhp! I can't wait! Looks like I'll be driving up and down the M1 to try and bed it in asap.
-
Hopefully I'll be running a 1.9 X-flow in the next month or so, thanks to G-man and yourselfs! I was excited about it before. Now I can't wait!!! :D Quick question though, Shall I try and sell my sachs power cluth and get hold of a paddle one??
-
This might sound like a silly question (I've set myself up right there  ), but would you be able to just fit the calipers without fitting the bigger discs?
-
I think a pair of cams and porting the head are good mods for the 16v, shouldn't be too hard to get the bits off too, seen as the engine's out of the car, should be good for round about 25bhp, can anyone back me up? Also it will still look like a standard engine.
-
Nice one. Like I said, another thing to add to the parts list.  Cheers mate
-
I'll be speaking to Darren pretty soon hopefully, and throwing him a load of cash (wink wink), so I'll talk it over. One last thing, if I re-route the ISV, does that mean I'd have to bin the Check valve.
-
Can I add one of those to my "Please can I have a X-Flow" list Darren
-
Sounds like a "must do" mod! Where abouts can I get the parts from and is it hard to fit?
-
Just looked at my last post, if it seems like it had nothing to do with the topic I ment to mention it as an alternative

I've just been on Hi-spec motorsports web site to look at their slim 4-pot calipers. They look a top piece of kit and aren't that expensive. I'm thinking about ringing up and asking if they do some kind of kit for the C, I know they do one for the Mk2 GTi with 16" wheels. Has anyone spoke to them or delt with them before???
-
I've just read the post about the twin inlets, and although it does sound like a top idea, I'm a bit more interested in blanking off the second inlet and dumping the boost return system. Just wondered what the pros and cons of this are?? :? I've heard it makes the chager sound awesome?? Cheers ppl
-
Cheers mate, if I do get rid of it I'll give you first offer.
-
At the minute I'm running a Jabba induction kit with cold air shield, but I've been thinking about changing to a modded air box and K&N panel filter. I'd probably miss the sound but I'm after power more than anything. Just wondered what people thought would be best for the new engine I'm planning (1.9 BE, X-flow head)??
-
I was thinking along these lines too, because I'm planning on a 1.9 bottom end with forged pistons, and was thinking what con-rods to use. Will the standard ones be strong enough??
-
Clifford, don't you just love 'em  . I've booked it in for checking, but the fitter said that if the alarm was draining the battery it would have done it from the start (3yrs ago)? I'm still getting them to look at it now I'm pretty sure it's not the car's fault, and even if it was, how can I stay mad at it
-
Did the voltage check over dinner time. With the engine running it was nearly 14v. So I turned it off, armed the alarm and left it an hour. Came back and tried it and it was around 12v. I hope this means the alternator is ok, the only thing I can put it down to, is that the battery saving function on the Clifford isn't working properly. Anyone else got any idea??
-
The light goes out as soon as the engine is started, and I put a brand new heavy duty battery on it last week, but I left it over the weekend and the new battery was that dead there wasn't enough power to flash the alarm LED. I've been having thoughts about the alarm draining it seen as it's a loverly Clifford  , the fitter is checking it on the 30th. Cheers for the info, I'll ring GSF about that kit.
-
Got a quick few questions; Does anyone know a test that can be done to see if the alternator is working properly? (apart from it draining the battery) What's the part number? And.... Is it hard to change?? It's on a G60 by the way?
-
I've just been in touch with the fitters and they said that if it was something was wrong like this with the alarm, it would have been doing it from the start. I've booked it in anyway for them to take a look at, due to the same thing happening with a friends focus. From the trouble I've had from the thing in the 3 years it's been on, I don't think I'd get another Clifford, no matter how good people think the name is. Cheers for the replies

Has anyone else had the problem of their Clifford alarm draining the car battery within a couple of days after being armed??
