'The Original' Rear Cup Holder group buy feeler.
dannyboy replied to bristolbaron's topic in Group Buy Feelers
Hi baz,put me down for a black one plz.cheers man! -
If noticed the fitment of jetex has dropped a bit in standards, good system but mines not correct fully correct either but not as bad as yours is. Are you sure you have the correct set? There is two for the g60, mines the earlier one.depending on chassis number you may need earlier or later one,but there is a difference.and its not Cat related either, mine had a cat installed from factory even though its a 1990

Don't worry mate I had these problems when I was doing mine.I was forever trying to get sensors working.lol. looks brilliant at the moment, I promise you will feel better once you get that turbo kick in the ar$e !

I bent the hangers on the exhaust down a bit cause mine was nearly pointing towards the floor when I fitted it.it did take a day or two with a tweak here and there to get it hanging solid and clearing everything so it doesn't knock.

I've been using E10 petrol in my missis car which is an old punto, never had single problem. It think it just another OTT case of were 10% ethanol has caused a problem by causing fuel rubber lines to deteriorate faster than normal on older ,pre 90 cars. Normal petrol has up to 5% anyway so I think its just another case of people cause a storm in a tea-cup. I've used it quite a few times in my g60 and it ran better than normal 95. Over here E10 is 3-4 cent cheaper a litre for the off cost of lower calarific value of the ethanol than normal 95.

im pretty sure yours wont be far off byran!!! your must be pretty quick too! I need a LSD now, torque steer is pretty scary as it launches,it goes rightwards.not as bad as going leftwards towards oncoming traffic

Well its about time I made a little video of the car going up the autobahn,so went out and made one. Not great day, very humid, 25 degrees and quite bit off traffic due to road works so never got to use fifth gear. http://youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=DE#/watch?v=pQTPoMwAhbo

S3 engine IN a corrado. That's a good mix. Now I'm stirring

Has anyone had problem with forge 008 DV before? I'm after swapping the old 710N valve back as it was dumping boost at 20 psi even though blue spring was fitted. Now its running smooth again and full 28/29 psi tapering to 20. Kind of unusual but as coming off throttle is much smoother, maybe just the piston design of the forge DV doesn't suit 1.8t?
-
injector plug better?just in a little harder to reach place though? if you have glader off, hand prime it before with a little oil.bearings are only splash fed
-
good things come to those who wait! Now you still have to be restrained during the breakin period!!!!!! ive had a stage four and the linear boost+ladder whine just wants you to go throught the gears over and over again!!!
-
Good luck finding them, theyre like trying to find a load of needles in a haystack!one i had was the rear shock used to creak every time i got out of the car. bit of sticky grease on the bump stop stopped that.

Spotted Dark green raddo northboundon the opposite side on the M20 near maidstone at about 2.00 pm as i was heading to dover, was that you dragon green?
-
i would agree with dave there, you need to be look at higher torque engine before swapping gearboxes. You'll lose all accelaration and your car will feel flat as a pancake and not as fun to drive. But if you want to then by all means try it. Never heard of a T4 gearbox, heard of a T4 vw bus though. All gearboxes have three letter prefixes like ASD,CTN,ATA,ATB. Depending on the box depends on the gearing....
-
Uprated headlight loom with osram night breakers.everyone is in agreement deffo. Engine wise I'm going with dragoon green on this one.20vt is best mod for me.Still makes me smile when you get a 28 psi kick in the a$$!!! Just need a LSD now.....and better life insurance

I'm buying a tig/wig ac/dc welder at the moment but they cost quite a bit more.they give a brilliant weld with very little splatter but can be tricky to learn.bit like oxy/acete but electric version. I've got trade-fade on welding so interesting to see but I'll pick it up again. If its your first time welding use Mig as its easiest but as some of the guys said you should take a short course on learning d basics. Lucky enough when I was doing my upgrade course for mechanic it had welding included so I was able to learn a bit for free Takes a quite a bit of practice but hobby machines like Clarke ones that are single phase are good for small jobs. Three phase machines are quite expensive and really only if your doing pro work. Just little info that might help you ---------- Post added at 4:30 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:24 PM ---------- Try stay away from Mag as well, its crude like arc and you get splatter all over

380 isn't hard to get from a 16v,just need to Turbo it and spend lots! ;-)
-
Nope, should never be any fuel leaks.I'd say a union or seal has gone on the metering head so have look now rather than later or yours will end up like mine.burnt out engine bay

Sounds like ur engine is overfuelling massively,is the the plugs covered in dry carbon or do they have a wet, oily covering?CDR valves are on diesel engines,u mean a pcv valve.if the pcv is blocked it could force oil past the valve stem seals but as you have a g60 I'd have a look at the charger hoses for oil to see if the oil seals have gone on the charger.if the pcv is blocked unplug it and take it for a drive. Also check the 1m ecu hose at the back of the TB. I forgot to plug this hose back in once after changing my ecu chip and I had flames shooting out my exhaust and ran like a bag of spanners.worth a two second look first

Back in Germany at last, took the raddo out for a blast as I missed her.fitted the forge dv and the dump seems to be alot smoother.also fitted the TIP which helps clear the ABS unit and spiking has reduced quite a bit but disappointed as the revo sps unit does not work with my amd software.funny thing is the unit reconises the ecu and says the timing is set to 7 and fuel to 9 but the boost is set to 225? Thought highest was 9? Also I can't change the settings I bought the unit for which is quite strange. Anyone have any idea or used it before?
-
One day left in Canada and then the corrado comes out of hibernation when I get back to Germany :-) Armed with a new Revo sps controller, forge TIP,forge 008 dv and n75j valve, hopefully my boost spiking problems will be sorted. I can't wait!

Strange how the four cylinder ones outlast the six cylinders ones even when on the VR!

Fuel shouldn't really be left too long as the octane level drops as the fuel goes off.6 months it usually takes for it to go off but you can end up with varnishing of the injectors and fuel system. In older carb'd cars this can block the jet holes.you can get a fuel stabliser that stops that and allows u to store fuel in the tank for longer without problems. As fishwick said it older fuel works great in lawnmowers so drain your tank in a Jerry can and happy gardening!
