  1. Have you checked the fuel filter yet? easiest first!Unplug cold start injector to see if it helps. I wont bother cleaning the injectors, renew them as theyre precision items and wear out like everything else.cleaning them doesnt fix worn needles
  2. Cheers lads,on the way back to uk this friday so ill pick myself up one from halfords! :thumbleft:
  3. Im not too fussed if i have to spend more, but nothing stupid like ones you have to spend £250 on from car care.Mines a daily so it will get chips and paint damage, which ive come to live with,i just dont want any rust due to the cover not beening breatheable. One from halfords looks ok,think ill get it if jim says its good!
  4. Just a small one guys,Im off to canada again in july and i need to cover my raddo to keep it out of the elements for 5 months. It has to be breatheable and fairly storm/weather proof. Any ideas guys? Ps im not looking at spending over £50 for a cover cause chances are itll get nicked!
  5. my old 1990 g60 couldnt read the ecu or obtain faults so done it old fashioned way.Check the connections on top of the brake resevoir, they stop the system working too!one wire will be for the fuild level that stops abs workn.bridge the wire with paper clip and see if the light goes off.I had the problem with abs during my coversion just because i forgot to plug it back in,it stops abs system working!
  6. Thats a very impressive work on the rear axle and brakes look like they could have stopped the titanic. Just beeing nosey but what adpators did you use for the front brakes to fit the 312 brakes?
  7. Well its that time for an oil change so bought filter and 5 litres of Liqui Moly's finest had a look under and start swearing as ive found the CV boot has ripped and spent grease everywhere. Great... Boot kit from VW is a reasonable 20 euro including grease.Took three hours, just one of them jobs that dont seem to go right, especially when the inner joint balls fall out when checking. The fun... And now my steering is out so ill have to get it re-alined....again. PITA
  8. how much you you selling it for? PM me
  9. Sounds like a beauty, enjoy that power but be careful,it can bite back!!
  10. check you ecu vac hose, might not have been reconnected properly.youll get massive overfuelling on overrun and WOT
  11. I have standard shocks and springs on the car, they cant really cope with the extra torque the tt engine puts out. They arent bad on normal drive, but not very reactive and ride feels bit too soggy.Im well aware that stiffer suspension does excatly what it says on the tin, obviously there are a few exceptions where progressive springs and shocks give that all important smooth ride on normal straights and stiffen up when things get twisty.this is what im looking for! Id love to see a magnetic dampers kit for a raddo, cant image they'd be cheap though
  12. Kev you swear by them B12's which is was looking into getting,do you know if theyre any good on 4 pots? How hard is the ride with them cause i do a lot of autobahn and dont have the best back for hard suspension ---------- Post added at 8:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:53 PM ---------- can anyone recommend b14s or even b16s pss9?.look pricey but top-range
  13. excatly as supercharged said, injector drivers get damaged due to bad grounds, ive had one ecu do that and it still ran,but like a bag of spanners, couldnt find out why til i changed the ecu But running the engine without a supercharger is a biggy
  14. got big cup coaster and homer simpson mega mug off my little one.came in this morning and first thing he did was smash me in the face with the mug, then said 'mummy said to give u this present but if you were asleep,to wake him up with it' !!!! kids aint stupid you know!!!! happy fathers day
  15. Pretty sure earlier four cylinders had them, not sure about later models
  16. Have you see issued toilet paper? its like 30 grit sandpaper!!! went to my Qm store and asked to get some in... said he had some in, handed me 60 grit sand paper, 'Thats the luxury stuff right there!!!'I didnt laugh...
  17. give the dizzy a gentle love tap on the base,it'll move. you need matching pulleys and chip
  18. Two women on the way back from a night out stop in a graveyard for a ****. One wipes her fanny with her knickers and the other uses a wreath. Their husbands were in the pub the next day and the first man says: "I'd better watch my wife, she came home last night with no knickers!" The other man says: "You think that is bad, mine had a card wedged up her arse saying: we'll never forget you, from all the boys at the fire station."
  19. Heater matrix been replaced?hairline crack can clog and reopen with coolant residue dries out.
  20. Told her she goes before the car.... I still have my car
  21. I might put my old g60 engine for sale with ecu but it would cost a fortune to send to aussiy. Now i have to try swipe it from my old house the Ex-wife is living in!!
  22. im not sure what power im running but its not slow, And its FWD without an LSD.Scarey thought!!!
  23. How much money you got?,depends on what you get. I done 1.8t 20v which was cost effective and lots of fun.wiring is hardest, lump goes in easy. Heard the TSFI are good too but the wiring is extremely hard and your better off finding a company that do them and also the engine needs custom mounts. putting vr6 in a 4 cylinder shell isnt best option. You'll need complete subframe,suspension,harness..etc 4 wheel drive on a raddo is labour intensive and a very expensive route.02A gearbox with a quaife LSD is a better option. Few guys on here including myself will advise you to go down the 1.8t 20v route because it works out cheaper in the long run, more tuneable(G60 close too) partsare readly available, and best bang for your buck and easiest to do.If you find a g60 with working g-lader then do that or 16v
  24. well if people used their mirrors id go bit faster, unfortuantely they dont so i have to be mega careful at these speeds hence slowled down twice in the video
