All these things look difficult to me mate lol but in all honesty I have no idea having never tried, hopefully someone will advise :)

The cv certainly looks like scrap mate, the boot is all burst and I had no plans to ever consider using it. I'll add a photo :)

Yes but it's still together with driveshaft/hub but yours if we can get it apart :)

Try wiggling the key in the ignition as this sometimes helps if it is the ignition switch at fault (common problem) , or you can bypass it to rule it in or out. Stick with it, they always like to test new owners :) http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=3167&highlight=Ignition+bypass+Hotwire

Various Corrado Parts For Sale - No Longer Available
easypops replied to pauly2850's topic in Parts for Sale
Outer cv...... Is this for a VR6? Also, is it new or used? If new, what make? Thanks -
I tried to remove one from the golf vr6 I broke to get the obd2 stuff.....I had the cat removed, in the garage, in a vice and I still ended up stripping the threads. It was like it was welded in. Good luck
-
Did you try the bypass? My ignition switch just stopped working like yours. I also thought my starter was on the way out as it was really slow for a while, new switch cured that as well.
-
That's fine with me Michael :)

Posted to Glasgow if possible please? :)

There is a fairly easy bypass for the switch, rules it out at worst..... I'll go and look for the link, a few wires, spade connectors are all that's needed I think Here you are http://www.the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=3167&highlight=Ignition+bypass+Hotwire

Ah, that's the one you were telling me about, I remember now. What about that "other" one we looked at?
