  1. No thanks mate, got enough wheels as it is :). Open to offers though ;)
  2. Thanks but I'll give it a miss mate, it's a bit too much as I was only thinking of it as a spare. Cheers Martin
  3. Don't, whatever you do, let TOAD out of his box :)
  4. That indicator looks like a late one? Is it? If so how little do you want for it posted to sunny Glasgow? :)
  5. Well done, nothing like an easy fix :)
  6. As the title says. I bought these from on here a few years ago from another member from Edinburgh, can't remember who though  . I removed the centres and had them powder coated, and did a diy refurb on the rest myself, stripped all the loose old paint/powdercoat off and gave them a rattle can silver on the insides and polished the lips. The insides are still a wee bit rough in places but its not exactly noticable, also there is a few wee bits of pitting that the powdercoating failed to fill, very minimal but always best to mention, not easy to get on camera either. The tyres are brand new, never seen the road. the make is Goodride, which wasn't exactly my choice. I was owed for a job i had done and was meant to be getting part worns as payment, but my mate had difficulty getting me a set so he bought me these. I have no experience of them , but they look ok? and cost about £50 each ....... http://www.camskill.co.uk/m62b0s344p75052/GOODRIDE_TYRES_CAR_GOODRIDE_SA05_GOODRIDE_SA_05_-_205_45R16_87W_TL_ I was going to put these on the corrado but they have been in my garage ready to go for about a year and i guess if i was going to do it i'd have done it by now. Price £450 as thats what they owe me when you add up the cost of wheels, centres powdercoated, tyres. Will listen to offers but no silly ones as i'm in no rush to sell, as they can happily live in my garage for a while yet. BBS RS722 5X100 et 43 7J Genuine BBS valves and caps I do have the centre caps somewhere in my rather untidy garage and i'll add a picture as soon as i find them :) _________________

  12. Throttle potentiometer and the wiring for it. my 2.0 16v ran like a bag of spanners, erratic idle, kangaroo petrol, hesitation, total nightmare. Changed various parts trying to solve it inc fuel pump, distributor, leads, plugs, coil, fuel thingy on top of air box(cant remember its name), fuel filter, timing belt and probably more. All things seemed to help a wee bit but it soon returned to the same, then one day i was going to swap the throttle potentiometer to see if it was that and while doing so i noticed (by total accident) that by moving the wires that were on the plug the idle steadied. Turns out 2 of the 3 wires had snapped inside the plastic sheathing, not visible by just looking. Once repaired it was a different car, possibly helped by the fact it had quite a few of the other bits changed but i think if i had found it earlier then it would have been a really easy cheap fix Good luck
  13. Yes mate, both lower bolsters from the passenger seat :) PM on the way with my email address :)
  14. I'd take both passenger seat bolsters if possible posted to Glasgow? :)
  15. I can see a speck of dust on it..........................Not........looking very 8)
  16. Test drive went ok, no steam which was nice :)
  17. Thanks mate, I have just cut the end of the offending pipe, pretty rotten it was too? Had a bit of a bulge at the back of it. Anyway it seems no worse for being a wee bit shorter. Gonna go put for a spin for 10 mins to see if it's ok. I can see a meet/ fix it day on the horizon :)
  18. Cheers Pete, I'll have a wee look. Might not be that as I had a look there and it seems now that it's the pipe that comes from the matrix to the head, just to the left of the aux pump, seems to be leaking at the clamp. I'll have an autopsy later as I need to cut the grass
  19. Driving home from work yesterday i thought i saw a wee bit of smoke/steam escape from the bonnet. Once i got into my street i had a load escaping from the drivers side, i had visions of it bursting into flames at any moment. Parked it up rather quickly and got the fire extinguisher out of the garage.Popped the bonnet but couldn't see anything? Had a look underneath and spotted something was dripping. Then life(new baby) took over and i had to leave it until today. Had a while free earlier and had a wee look. Brake fluid ok, power steering fluid ok, oil ok, so had a look at the coolant. It was down but not too much? Topped it up and drove round to the bookies(5mins) and when i stopped, a wee bit of steam and more dripping. Drove back home and parked it up again. Had a search on here and i'm fairly sure its the aux water pump as it seems to have stopped leaking when its not running? And it seems to have steam cleaned a section underneath it  Long winded story, but i like a bit of background :) So, where can i get one of these? Dealer? elsewhere? anyone know the cost? Any point buying a second hand one? Same part on later golfs etc? Anyone got a good/new one they'd like to sell? TIA Martin :)
  20. Sorry mate but i'm also out :(
  21. I have a toad AI606 fitted, had one on my last corrado too.........got the same guy to fit both...........i have full closure as soon as i lock it, button 4 on mine is redundant, button 3 on mine make it arm/unarm silently. Pretty sure the fitter can program buttons 3&4 to do whatever? I asked him to set it up this way as its the same way he had done the previous time. So yes they are having a laugh
  22. Yes :) a grey one for me please 8)
