  1. Worth giving the wiring a wee check anyway, my poor running, erratic idling, occasional kangarooing was instantly gone after i'd repaired that plug, that was after replacing fuel metering head , fuel pump , distributor, isv , leads , plugs , potentiometer , throttle body , ignition switch.........and it was only 2 broken wires :)
  2. Were the 2 plugs connected or loose?, Only asking as it was the engine side plug that was at fault for my poor idle, kangarooing etc.................2 of the 3 wires were broken but the plastic sheathing was intact
  3. Ok, Here are a couple of pics which might help............The yellow arrow shows the wire coming from the potentiometer(you cant see the plug) and the green arrow shows where the plug should sit on the TB, the big red arrow shows the plug the potentiometer plugs into.........phew :) Pic 2 is TB removed from car, showing the wire better but not really showing where the plug should locate
  4. No you DO have one...............its the black box attached under the TB , the black wire in pic 2 is it. The male and female plugs you have shown should be connected, the potentiometer end should be housed in the gold bracket on the side of the TB
  5. The plug for the potentiometer should be in the gold bit and the cable for it should be through the top bit, its the other end of the black wire in picture 2..................I remember taking this plug out when i swapped the potentiometer on mine but couldn't get it back in...........looks like that might have happened to yours?
  6. Aqua blue is a great colour.........here is a pic of my old valver
  7. Don't laugh..............its a skoda felicia  , glxi model..............for the pricely sum of £160 :)
  8. I know what you mean, i was lucky with the frontera i bought, didnt have any issues with it, only got a flat tyre which i filled with tyreweld or whatever the foam stuff is called.............I was prepared to scrap it the first time it broke down, but it didn't, so i kept it until march, when the missus decided to run into the back of someone , very slowly, but it was a sign that it was time to get rid and get the corrado out of the garage............already got my winter banger lined up for this year :)
  9. I bought a Frontera last winter for £250, drove it for a few months and scrapped it for £200, was really good in the snow :)
  10. Been there too..............but look how happy the new owner is :)

  16. I put mine in 2 weeks ago.........which was 2 weeks early, to allow for the work i thought it would need...........passed with flying colours ,no advisories, only issue was a rear number plate bulb being out, which they changed on the spot :)
  17. I know exactly what you mean about the seat lever..............i have fallen out with the missus on more than one occasion over that one.............and she broke my heater controls last year, replaced with a passat set, then got in the car the other day and i see the hand coming out to try and turn the heating up..........No Way was that happening, she was told that all levers and buttons are out of bounds for her
  18. I think he meant, do you have a picture of the actual hole? location? :)
