Hi, If these are for late fogs, I'll take them :) Cheers Martin

Here is a load I got for free last year, round about April/may I think And here is half of it chopped up....... Don't look too closely at what keeps the rain off

No worries Jamie, they are really good to have. As for wood , now is the time to be stockpiling for next winter....... Keep an eye on local gumtree as tree surgeons regularly give it away for free, all you need is a chainsaw and a splitting axe :). I also use smokeless ovals, which I think are just compressed coal dust/bits and roughly the same price as coal , they burn for hours and all you need to do is keep adding occasional logs :)

I fitted a multi fuel stove a few years ago and I lined the chimney with a double walled SS flue, such a good thing to have . My chimney breast stays cool when the stove is blasting out the heat. I lined the chimney after I got someone out to sweep it, he smoke tested it before sweeping and informed me that the smoke was coming out all 4 pots, which meant the internals were corrupted somewhere. He advised lining it and to get a carbon monoxide detector. Which I did. Still never get round to putting a vent in, I just make sure that I always have a window downstairs open a wee bit(note to self.......fit the vent!). Also fitted an anti downdraught cowel. Recently helped a friend to line his chimney too, not a hard job, just a bit if a fiddle :)

New garage - what to put in my want list?
easypops replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
You don't always need planning permission, depending on where its going and how big your space is, you can sometimes get away with using 'permitted development'. That's what i did and my garage is 7.5 X 7.5m , still needed a building warrant and proper drawings though which are the expensive parts, the planning permission is fairly cheap compared to the cost of the rest. -

Kitchen base units make great storage, worktops are great too. Also the wall units are great too. It helps that a couple of friends are kitchen fitters. A single run of base units would give you massive storage and a great big worktop area. All my worktop area is used as storage, but i have a seperate workshop next door, not for car stuff though :) Excuse the messy ground, the monoblock will be finished this year  And don't look to closely at the render as its a wee bit rough, it was a diy build though :) -
Alex, if you have sat through that, then I think you have way too much time on your hands........ That is on a par with the soaps the missus watches. I did only give it a couple of mins, but realised I would prefer working to sitting watching that nonsense
-
Me too , work is fairly stress free though and I generally can do whatever I like :)

Are G60 brakes not 280mm and a straight bolt on? I'm sure someone will confirm either way, if so surely a whole lot easier than redrilling etc :)
-
Yes, you are correct, it was in a guide book we had, turned out to be a VW showroom.......also housed Skoda and Bentley, and they had a Bugatti veron(sp) :)

Sorry mate, rattle firmly back in pram. I didn't see your post for some reason and I am very sorry for that. I guess I just read that you had beaten me by PM and I felt cheated. Now I just feel stupid  Still want a refund though as an oil filter on it's own just ain't appealing Apologies all round
-
Oops

Hi, Already paid you for the heater controls and oil filter. The reason for that is that I was directed straight to my PM's. I then paid for the 2 items that I believed I had first dibs on. I thought the cars for breaking section carried the 'old' rules when a person was first in, they got the item. The only thing I really wanted was the heater controls and only took the oil filter to boost the sale. Now it seems I have lost the item I wanted. I think I would now rather you refund me the full amount as I no longer feel the need to have the oil filter. Disappointed :(
-
Hi, I'll take the Oil Filter £7 Faulty Heater controls £15 Posted to Glasgow please :) Cheers Martin
