Ah, I don't buy EVO. I like it lots 8)

Yup, exactly the same as mine was. The floor is gonna be bent. Sorry again :(

Oh Kip, what a sh*tter. What a dappy tart. So so sorry to hear about this and I know how you feel dude, had the same happen to my first C. There's not much that can be done, but try to distract yourself so you're not thinking about it. (do you play consoles?) You've got 24 hours to ring your insurance and try to hold out for the full money because they will most likely try to pull a fast one. You can take solace in the fact you own 2 other gorgeous Corrados and another nugget will come along soon. I'm gutted for you, I made a very unhappy noise when I read it. :(

Sickness or silly? 1000kg, 562bhp. Discuss.

Ejector seats are a one-shot deal so you'll have to buy some more, I think ACME may stock them. ;)

Yet x2. Mine failed at only 300 hp.

C is for Cookie, that's good enough for me. :)

Schwebbe (sp*?) The guy who designed our rado's...
The_Dude replied to _Meth's topic in General Car Chat
He was at the 20th Anniversary meeting at the Nurburgring in 08. Seemed pretty cool about the whole thing. I've got a pic of him having a butchers under the new Rocco bonnet. (too much plastic for my liking) Isn't there a story about someone asking him about water dripping in the cabin when the windows were open and it was raining, to which he replied "don't drive with the windows open then!" -
I could be talking sh*t. I may have got my wires crossed somewhere

The 3D one?

Right, a bit of GCSE Spanish and a bit of google translate has led me to this translation. Its not quite word for word, but its good enough. The G60 volumetric compressor began to be installed in VW cars in the late 80s. However what many did not know was that this marvel of mechanical engineering was conceived much earlier, specifically in 1905. In 1930 Daimler manufactured supercharged cars, unfortunately the technology of the time was not sufficent for the G type charger, that would have to wait for the 80s. It would be more than half a century until one of the brilliant engineers in Germany would realise (conceive) the G charger. And thanks to those brilliant engineers, capable of making impossible ideas into reality, a myth was born. Today more than 2 decades later there are G chargers that are still blowing at full power. This is an homage to those who made that reality. Great video!!! Pic of the designer of the Corrado having a look under the bonnet of the Scirocco not long after launch in Sept 2008

Love it. Awesome. I'm a big fan of the subtle beast, all that gives it away are the humoungous brakes. Its a stunning amount of dedication gone in there Kev, I guess using it as a daily means you had to make it bulletproof or you'd get the sack! It all got a bit technical there for a bit with the numbers, but you do a great job of explaining why you put all the parts on instead of just listing it, which I wish more people would do with highly modded motors. Would you say you've got it how you want it, or are there more bits planned?

 Wallington is just up the road from me...really worrying that this kind of this is going on locally. And before anyone says anything, Croydon isn't THAT bad! Glad you got home safely though :salute: Yeah, it p*sses me off everytime on tv when someone wants to make fun of a town its always Croydon. I've been to much worse places. Croydon rulez! :salute: Some great driving roads out Kingswood way too, if you know them well.

He was good in 300 :) new Children Of Bodom album soon too.

Check your rear bushes. The only time I have lost it was when they were worn out.

central locking on one door failing, is this common?
The_Dude replied to corrado_sunderland's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Take off the door card and see if your (orange?) pipes are connected to the white plastic vacuum box jobbie (got no idea what its called lol). If they are all ok, try replacing the white thing as this was what caused mine not to lock properly. Maybe swap it over from the side that works to save you buying one to test it. -
A lot of women I know have recommended The Hangover. Why? Because it was released at the same time as some girly film (SATC 2?) so when the tickets sold out they all spilled over into the Hangover.

I'm thinking of getting one and coupling it with the "whistling turbo sound" exhaust doodad. I'll be so cool, all the chicks will swoon as I cruise down to Halfords.
-
Yes but no...that interior is minging! Looks like an old people's home. How about 625bhp? http://pistonheads.com/sales/1866772.htm

Brilliant. All my questions could be answered in a write-up. Ahem. ;)

Oh man, what a pisser! Not sure you want to hear this, but I think the chassis may be too bent for repair.
-
Looks flipping awesome Ben! (and yeah, you did get a bargain when you bought the car) What are you doing with your old wheels?

You mean the Kumho KW23? Available in 205 or 215/40/17? Prices? Also available in 195/50/15 for Speedies and only £32.70 from Camskill 8) 195's would be ok on speedies wouldn't they? Yeah, you only lose 10mm of width and 5 mm of sidewall. Given how much 205's bulge it might not be a bad thing either. The speedo will read slightly out however, but I found mine to be wildly inaccurate at higher speeds on standard tyres anyway. You'll be going a little slower than it reads so there's no chance of you accidentally speeding.
