Lots and lots and lots....at least three or four times what I bought it for. Madness, I could have had a decent Porsche for that kind of wedge, but it still brings a smile to my face when I drive it, which is the most important thing!
-
No, I have had my clocks out since tho and because its summer time, I don't notice it, so maybe its there, maybe it isn't. Sorry bud!

[quote name="Sonicriot13 Dude they're called Inovit Manics. See, even the name suits me. name= look= :gag: they look like porsche wheels gone wrong!

Well 0 bhp as you couldn't get it to grip is better than nothing or a disappointing result, at least you know it must be kicking out quite a fair old whack.
-
the solid style will also give the crappest ride as they will increase the unsprung weight by about a ton. Can't see the wheels as I'm at work, they can't be that bad can they? What make and model?

^^^^ Better than 2 tons of lead!

That is cool! Good work there fella, but yeah, not so sure about the bodykit. -
Get a valver and feel the powerrrrr! I'm sure there's a reason why the G-lader is called a grenade....
-
Hehe, bet you're one happy camper! It does look like mayo tho, I would have had the same reaction.

Pics for you photo whores :D Boost controller Injector Pump Fans and watertank. thinking of relocating this to somewhere cooler, ie the boot.

I think you need to come down about 10 mm on the back Joe, the difference is just too much. Its really simple to do and you'll still have the slope going on. And is it me or does the camber look out at the back?

I picked up the car yesterday from the lads at DGAutotech and I must say I'm highly impressed with both the quality of work and level of professionalism coupled with a friendly attitude. Its been there for two weeks, but that was more due to me living about 150 miles away and during that time Dave has kept me well updated as to progress with many PMs and phone calls. They found more problems than anticipated but always kept me in the loop so I was aware of what needed doing. I've got a new rad and fans with the DG brackets, also some serious fettling of the suspension which was starting to feel distinctly dodgy. With new R32 bushes, front ARB links and top mounts the car now feels like I am steering it, not the other way round. They also finished hooking up the water injection I got from the Schimmel group buy aaaages ago, something my previous useless garage seemed unable/unwilling to do. It now kicks in around 4.5k but its fully adjustable, both when it activates and the strength of the injection...they even road tested it hooked up to a laptop so it could be properly programmed and Graham gave a Type-R a lesson in how a real car should drive. :D Can't wait for the CF RR session in a few weeks time to see what difference it makes. I'm very happy having got the car serviced by Dave and Graham, they both really know their stuff being Corrado enthusiasts and the personal touch they gave ensured my future business. I have no trouble recommending them to anybody on here. :salute: and the Corrado Cam on the CCGB website meant I could show everyone at work my car in bits! :D Next, I have some crazy fool idea for my Speeds...four words.....glow in the dark

I love this car :luvlove: its such a sweet feat of workmanship. :salute:

What's the functionality like? Can you still control the ipod separately or do you have to use the headunit? I only ask cos I have loads of music and scrolling thru on a headunit looks frustratingly slow and the display is usually too small.

Oh, and give me a shout when the MOT is done and we'll go for a blast. I should be getting my car back from the lads at DG on saturday.
-
Well as I've got the Speeds with ContiPrem2s on, it'd be rude not to waste them. The tyres on the monos are almost dead! Plus I've just had the most cunning idea ever and I don't think its been done before! If it works it will be either awesome or just plain wrong.

Lets not descend into another G60/VR debate please. :D And I could do with gaining a stone or two... -

Sunroof? Would a glass one weigh less? You could also remove the motor. Also remove all headlining, doorcards and trim. -
But if we had it, it would most likely cost about 1.50 a litre.
-
Still got the Monos, they were up for sale but I didn't press it as I secretly wanted to keep them. Unfortunately one of my housemates has knocked one over and the lip is totally gravellised, if you get my drift. And they still haven't owned up! :mad2: :nono: How long before you're up and running?

I can sense I'm going to get a lot of flak for going orange. Well to you all :D I love orange as a colour and think it would contrast well against the moonlight blue. Its got nothing to do with 'scene' or anything like that, I just like loud colours :D Anyway, your wheels look pretty damn good and I intend to be going too fast for anyone to notice the finish  One thing, I take it I can't use the etch primer if I have the wheels masked off and the tyres still on? Its acidic and would eat thru the plastic/rubber, right?

noooo, that can't be right! race fuel is only 102 iirc...its probably like the american system where they use a different rating. It's on Wiki so it must be true. Hong Kong apparently.... oh well it must be true if its on wikipedia.

is the laquer used on wheels the same as on the body? cos i've got a sprayer just round the corner...he looks dodgy and wouldn't trust him on my car, but i doubt he could screw up a coat or 2 of clear.
-
Well, the thing is I've been quoted anywhere between 180 and 300 quid to get them done so if I can save myself the dollar I'll do them over the course of a week or so. I don't use the car daily and live in a cul-de-sac, so I won't get embarrassed by having different colours and makes of wheel while I swap them about.
