This is a cool idea. Hopefully someone will have these cars still

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all have a great day tomorrow.

It gives me the opportunity to expand my expletives repertoire, if nothing else. Those positioning trucks are awesome. -

I swear at it. Does that count? -
Work, houses and a small child have hampered my input into both the forum and the car itself over the past few years. FB is great for pictures but there is a mountain of ****e to wade your way through to get to anything good/useful. This winter I keep thinking I'll do an old school style refurb on my car without anything on FB or on here and then just explode into show season next year!

Rob's 100% correct. Those that still use the forum regularly will update build threads but the majority of people now seem to use FB. Bit sad about it really as the forum has always been one of the highlights of Corrado ownership for me. The FB group is good, and essential really, but it's not as good as a full thread

^^ definitely. I'm looking to get one in my new daily. Not sure which to go for but anything that is of sufficient quality to use as evidence is a good idea IMO.

Sounds like a bit of a non-offence. You're well within your right to overtake if safe to do so and that you don't cause another driver to take evasive action, which given your account it sounds you were perfectly fine to do. It's good that you kept such a good record, shows you were paying suitable attention. If they decide to charge you the first thing I'd ask for is evidence. If they have video footage they should've offered to show you there and then, which suggests they don't. Was this guy on his own? I'd definitely fight it.

Suspense is too much!!!!

Yep, you are correct. Insurer says can't change NCB midterm. Which effectively means that because my daily and rado insurance are not co-terminus I'm stuck unless I cancel one or let the insurance lapse on one.... Oh well....
-
Morning All!.... just.... Quick one. I currently have 2 car policies, the one on the Corrado and the one on the daily. Currently the Corrado policy has 16 yrs NCB, and the daily policy now has 2 years NCB. Can anyone tell me if I can swap those NCB over? I appreciate there may be a change in premium but I wasn't sure if it's even possible?!

Sometimes the hard braking is more fun than the acceleration!

Did you manage to confirm what the actual issue with the motor is? Sorry if I've missed it earlier in the thread. Hopefully someone will take it on. GLWS

Mwahaha! I think if I suggest bi-fold doors on the garage I may get shot but it's definitely a good shout. Airflow and light need to be good. If we go ahead it'll mean blocking up one of the kitchen windows. I've suggested we just replace it with one of those switchable clear/opaque glass panels so I can just look at the car whilst sitting in the kitchen... that didn't meet with instant approval...

That was one of my criteria. Need to be able to drive the car right into the middle. Current plan is to have a lift on one side, possible in the ground as mentions by Sean earlier. The biggest issue I seem to be facing is that the part of the village I'm in is all single garages, most set back a little, and I'll be putting this big double with a room above and moving it forward to be in line with the rest of the house. Still waiting on plans from the architect at the moment...

Happy birthday for yesterday mate! I still feel about 21 when the car's working well and on song, and about 65 when it breaks...
-
Don't want to tread on toes but I'll take them at full price as second dibs.
-
Cutting up a virtually brand new car you mad man! Love it
-
Dude, you are always working on your cars. I'm very impressed, and a little ashamed.... mine hasn't been touched for ages... I'm a terrible Corrado owner
-
Nice mate. I'd love a touring, especially in 335i or 335d form.
-
Mate, that looks amazing! You got a full build thread?

So, my current single is 3m by 6m. Same as yours Sean. Overall I'm happy with the length but the width is an issue. I can work all around the car but the big corrado doors need a bit of finesse to get in and out. I'm happy that whatever we end up building I'll have to move cars around to work on them but getting 2 in with some space to store things and get around them would be nice.

Cheers guys, seems the size isn't a million miles off then, overall it'll be 5.3m wide and either 6.2m or 8.7m long depending on how far the wife will let me go. Was a bit disappointed with the architect as 6m wouldn't take us up the the boundary but it would be pretty wide compared to the house so I can see why the planners might be a bit wary of it. Swifty - cheers mate. I'll see what he comes back with and maybe pass it onto you for a second opinion
