Amazing attention to detail, as always! Looks a great car mate.

As someone who managed to buy back their 'rado I hope you're successful mate Only thing to worry about is you'll never be allowed to sell it again. Whenever the thought crosses my mind I basically get a barrage of abuse from friends and family about 'why bother, you'll only buy it back again....'

Love this thread, and this car. Would love to see it in the flesh, I doubt there are many people out there who've owned the same car longer and maintained so meticulously even though they only use it once in a while. Good man!
-
Very nice mate, very nice indeed! Looking forward to seeing them on the car.
-
Having seen these in the flesh I really want them... just not sure I can justify it to myself....
-
HAHA!!

Are you going all the way back to standard Pete?
-
Cutter is a great pub but parking is awful.

Mate, If you want it out of your way until you can come back to the fold I can probably store it somewhere. Would be a crying shame to see this waste away. I'd be tempted myself but I need the rear seats in mine. -
Lets get something organised then. Nice pub somewhere would be good. You're in my list of plodders mate! That's exactly it, no inane banter going on and the world is poorer for it IMO
-
It is slower on here now. Facebook is killing most forums I think. A lot of the old guys have moved on as well so the banter is a bit thin on the ground these days. Few of us still plodding along though. Should do an east anglia mini meet in a pub somewhere no the weather is improving.

In my experience purple bricks is fine if you're used to selling house, happy to do the leg work and on a very tight budget. If you want a dedicated contact to talk to/shout at if something goes wrong it's best to go with a local agent. Also, if they're any good they'll have a list of potential buyers without even having to advertise! When we sold 2 years ago we used a local agent, had it sold in 3 days for £20k over asking, and got 0.5% plus vat for the fee. Although Cambridge is a very unique market.

What a deal. And good on your Dad for having it this long. Think I'd take the golf though!

I've got a traxxas t-maxx that's in a process of refurbishment. Never had a nitro before, looking forward to it finally running.
-
Still thinking of getting rid then?
-
That height looks just about perfect mate. How's the ride quality?
-
Hmmm, I'm not so sure. You've done well at steering clear and now your enjoying the more modern machines.
-
I always thought you'd be back Kev, but not so far!
-
Exactly what I was wondering.
-
Not tempted to buy the golf?
-
Good work mate. When do you think it'll be running?
-
I want this bad!
-
Should've asked him to bless the car!
-
Chin up mate, these things are sent to try us! Amazed it blew the matrix out, I thought the caps were meant to give before then?

Nah, it was a 12v one so no good for me..... unfortunately
