  1. Initially I thought ignition switch but it has none of the classic symptoms like starting whilst holding the key and then dying when you let go. I'm going to try the starter motor today. I also notice from a quick look this morning that the ecu seems to be making a lot of noise. I hope it's nothing serious.
  2. So, as it was a beautiful day today I thought I would take old Mincy out for a run in the sunshine. Open up the garage, disconnect the battery conditioner, go to start and.... nothing. No clicking, no trying and failing to start. Nothing. It's never had an issue starting, always starts on the button usually and never had any indications of any potential issues such as ignition barrel or starter motor failing. I'm stumped. Any ideas??
  3. Haha, it's a corrado life!
  4. I have both, I think it might come down to what the grill was made. The newer ones from the dealers seem to be all open. Must put my FK one back on....
  5. Looking good mate, ride hight looks spot on
  6. Hi Matt Can I get one of these please? PM me payment details Thanks
  7. Welcome back mate, looks a very nice example. One question, why does it appear that you have the remains of a fleece or two at the back of your garage?
  8. Welcome back! Straight into the maintenance I see.
  9. Well done Darren. Apologies I didn't get to see/speak to you but judging from a few different posts I missed a few people. Car looked fantastic, and up against very stiff competition in Kip. Hopefully get the chance to so you soon at another show.
  10. Looking good mate. Any pics of the brakes on and behind the wheels?
  11. Understatement Del! Good luck with the resto. Good to see rare cars popping back into the scene... warms my soul...

    Keep it real

True, and I'd never stop someone at the risk of my own safety but I also don't want someone breaking into my house, with my wife and child in there, looking for the keys to my nice car either which you seem to hear about all the time as well.

    Keep it real

I saw this over the weekend. Scary stuff. Things like this put me off buying a nice new car, just stick with the old bangers that nobody is going to want.
  14. Looking forward to it mate.
  15. Fair enough. It should be with you now mate.
  16. Cool, cheers mate. Do you want cash on the day or payment in advance? Happy with either.
  17. Cool. Are you going to Stanford hall? Save a bit of postage.
  18. Sure do kip, sorry been out all day. I'll send the money shortly mate.
  19. He never answers on here but he's based near me. If you want I can pop round to see him, and if he's got one I'll pop it round next time I'm at the folks.
  20. Yes please Kip. Do you have the clips as well mate?
  21. I think it sold, there's just some reminiscing going on
  22. Well…. So I’m still at the same place but life has at least changed somewhat. Basically decided to speak to my Director about it, and essentially he said he didn’t want me to go so what else would I like to do… which was unexpected! Told him I wanted to be more involved in the business and less involved in the monthly grind of creating accounts. Then after I’d explained it all they created a new role for me, Systems & Project Accountant, and recruited a replacement for my old role. It’s still based on my accountancy qualification but instead of cooking the books I’m out and about in all areas of the business from stores to R&D getting involved in a load of control work and project implementation. Another good step is I now report directly to him so I’m a bit more autonomous and able to just go out and find new things to get involved in. It’s not perfect but it’s made a change and I feel most days are different enough, and with enough on the horizon that it’s not going to be boring anytime soon. There’s even talk of me going to help out in some of the other offices but I’m not getting my hopes up to much on that front. If nothing else I've realised that the guys at the top in their big offices aren't always as unapproachable as people sometimes think. Really glad I talked it through with various people, including you lovely folks, and it made me be more proactive with my employer.
