Rat look can look good, very good in some instances... but that is truly horrific! I assume you got struck but the 'autocorrect' stick and you meant aberration!
-
I'm going to need a daily soon Charlie and you're tempting me with a golf vr now! Looks fantastic mate.
-
The ball joints connect in a completely different way on the VR hubs unfortunately. They're bolt through rather than pinch bolts so you'd need a way of getting around that. I think the question has been asked before a few times
-
Man I wish I could get some of those extenders for a VR

I'm in Cambridge with full VCDS

IMO £6K isn't enough to tempt me away from the Corrado. You'll be able to find the cars listed in that price range but they're not going to be low mileage, keep them in your garage and pamper them versions. If it was me I'd be looking at exciting up the Corrado with some FI or looking for a project car for chips and work on that to build something yourself at the weekends. A little 2 seater number maybe or a classic car? Obviously this is only my opinion and many may think otherwise but if I was going to sell the C these are the things I'd be thinking.... that or if my budget suddenly became enough to get something I'd consider special. Good luck with whatever you decide though. :thumbleft:

Saw the invite on FB last night but unfortunately I'm in the US that weekend. Really good meet last year so anyone thinking of going should definitely make the trip. Hoping it all goes really well again Chris!

I'm already on the list Sean but if we can get a few more interested that'd be great. Come on folks!

If it helps Andi, I'm not having any issues at all with any of my devices. Windows PC and Virgin ISP at work Android (4.4.4) phone on O2 network 3G, Virgin or Sky ISP (work/home) iPhone 5 on EE network or Sky ISP iPad mini on Sky ISP Can do you a load of screen shots if you like? I tend to run the full site even on my mobile -
Like it mate, those 20v engines in a mk2 are fun fun fun! Shame on the R6. Had a Daytona 675 until I came back to the corrado

The Rosstech cables have a chip in them to allow full use of the software. If you use a cheap one of ebay and the VCDS software you won't be able to do much, and it won't give you full codes and descriptions. Anyone near you have full vag-com that can do you reading?
-
This thing is so sweet! Awesome work mate

Nice car, and rare Oettinger? wheel. But more importantly, lets see the mk2 and the R6! Welcome!

I doubt it. There would be no point a big oil company buying a stock of oil which potentially could go down in value and just eat up cash reserves needed to run the business. What's more likely, IMO, is that the big companies will not do anything until the price to extract the oil gets closer to the price to sell. At the moment the big guys are happy to watch the small guys go out of business as they are unable to sustain their business. They'll probably also hold back on selling the stock they do have in the hope the supply/demand shift will swing back the other way once all the small companies aren't producing anymore. You'll also see loads of projects shelved or stopped as things like shale extraction and tertiary extraction techniques cost too much for the oil produced. Unfortunately all that means for us in the UK is production stopping. Under $50 a barrel most of the North Sea extractions are losing money. Whereas in the Saudi Arabia I think they were saying the other day they'd be happy for it to drop to much further as the cost of extracting a barrel is about $10. Man this thread is a bit serious...
-
Where do you lot live?!?! I'm still paying £1.10 here in sunny Cambridge... :( So it appears that China* are buying as much oil as they can right now and the Saudi's* think we'll never see $100 a barrel again! *Note - Neither of these points may be entirely true but I definitely read it somewhere...
-
Tempted myself mate. What are you going for next then?
-
Er, right. Not sure if I'll be able to make this now but will try to sneak over if I can.
-
Haha! Welcome back (having never really left)

The best thing about the forum stats used to be that it told you who's birthday it was.
-
I was thinking about Ultimate Dubs myself but I think I'll now slag that off in favour of the RR day...... if I can get mine running right!
-
If they're still thinking the White Horse Sean it's LE15 8PS, hell of a trip! Did you see in the other thread about the VR6OC rolling road day at Stealth on Mar 1st? Might be a less painful meet-up point?
-
Cheers mate. I'm going to have a look at it next weekend, give it a good going over etc so I'm glad to hear it's not a completely unreasonable price depending on condition.
