  1. Yep. Tbh the best things about that car were the HIDs and the climate
  2. Can't believe you had a polo gti.... I had one in black. Are you just copying everything I do?
  3. You can still get the Nexus 5 from various online places but no longer from google themselves. I missed out on a OnePlus One on ebay yesterday but I'm getting absolutely sod all help from EE regarding my iPhone. Their customer support is truly atrocious. I could do with something getting sorted before Christmas as currently I'm without a working phone.
  4. Ok guys Got a iPhone 5 I'm currently having trouble trying to unlock but the muppets at EE are trying to pass the buck and not do it. So 2 questions - anyone got any tips for unlocking an iPhone? - and any advice on new phones? Thinking about a nexus 5 or a OnePlus one. Any advice appreciated.
  5. Thankfully I wasn't born there but that's not a bad guess for most people from the area!
  6. Haha! I grew up in Raunds so I know it well!
  7. Welcome along. Where about in the Northants?
  8. It's a tough thing to quantify really. I find the corrado has a certain something that you can't get with most reasonably priced modern cars. The drive is involving if not the quickest thing on the road these days, it makes all the right noises, looks good and handles. The added bonus is it's probably about as modern as you can go and still be able to tinker/fix most things in your own garage. I'd love a modern run around though, or I could be seriously be tempted by something to replace the rado but it'd mean spending a fair amount of cash on a car from my wish list. And to be honest I'd struggle to justify that cost given I do around 3000 miles a year. So for the money, and foregoing a decent wage increase, the rado will stay for the time being. I may take it off the road at some point to sort a few things.... Maybe spend some serious cash on it at some point. Must be a reason so many people end up coming back to the fold.
  9. Cheers chaps, never been into road riding or had a road bike before so not sure what's what. Do you think I'll be able to fit different tyres? I'm not sure exactly what the commute will be over. I know most of it is cycle path or road, but I think one section of about 2/3rds of a mile is dirt track and I don't want to be fixing punctures everyday.
  10. Was looking at this as it seems to do most of what I want and it's £269 until 2pm http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/road-bikes/carrera-karkinos-ii-limited-edition-road-bike-2015#tab2
  11. Hi Guys I know some of you are keen cyclists and I will soon be moving, making my commute about 5 miles each way.... which I'm planning on cycling. My question is, Halfords are having a flash sale this lunchtime and would any of you recommend any of their range? I'd be looking to spend as little as possible but I would like a bike that's going to be OK and not falling apart in a few miles. Anywhere up to about £500 to spend I'd guess. Suggestions welcome
  12. Definitely get that if you can. You may also find they'll be funny about speaking to you rather than your Dad. Don't do anything until you've got those documents otherwise you may do or say something that makes it worse completely by accident.
  13. Have you reviewed your tenancy agreement? There should be a suitable repairs and maintenance clause in there with which to start talking to them from a legal stand point. I know a bit about contract law as I'm often having to deal with these kind of things at work. The best advice I can give is to try and read/understand your agreement. It's much easier to quote clauses and specifics then they'll find it harder to wriggle out of anything. And always put everything in writing. If you go to their office to have a conversation make sure you follow it up immediately with a letter or email clarifying the points you've discussed, include time and dates of meeting and of any actions agreed. Hope you get it sorted mate
  14. I'm up for travelling further, I'll also be putting the feelers out for going to the autometrix Audi/vw trackday at castle Combe next year and getting a gang together?
  15. Cheers Dave. Once I'm not bumping it up a curb each time I park I'll be getting them refurbed. Glad you made the effort, you car really is a great example all round.
  16. Spotted today, around 2pm outside Storage King on Coldhams Lane in Cambridge. Not sure what flavour motor but it looked like a Moonlight Blue and was running either LM's or LM reps. Looked really good, nice height and suited the wheels. Private plate ** XEM.... anyone?
  17. Haha! Question is, why's he on here whilst on the hols?!
  18. Great to see everyone and meet some new forum'ers. Bit cold but good company and a bit of food makes it all ok again! Sorry we didn't get to see you though Jim. Nice range of cars, only took a pic of the Beetle hotrod thing unfortunately. Dave, your car is a fantastic example and wonderfully clean and modified. Nice to hear of others plans for their cars.... And I guess Seans double din looks good to.
  19. Mighty Car Mods on YouTube is always mildly amusing..... Although I'd rather smash the tv than have x-factor on in my house!
  20. See you all tomorrow. Might even get chance to wash the thing!
