Looking good mate, great wheel the RC
-
^^exactly. -1deg will be enough, that's where mine is set and it turns in lovely on road and track. Had it set at -1.5 once.. great turn in, wanted to wander in a straight line.
-
Just get him to dial it all the way in on the top bolt, all the way out on the bottom one, and you've got that touring car look! :norty:

Good work mate. Thought I'd reply in here and let that other thread die. Brakes wise, I'm not running grooves. They tend to eat pads and make a mess of wheels, plus they can be very noisy in my experience. No such luck for my old banger, he gets thrashed round a track at least once a year.... poor thing

Any heating/plumbing engineers on here? Help needed ASAP

Nice work, I'm sure you'll love them. Once you get used to the feel of them they can take some real abuse. What pad's did you choose? -

Yes, sorry forgot to update. Sorted now, turned out to be an electrical issue rather than the boiler itself so after a call to a friends plumber I ended up get my mate round who is an electrician and we managed to get it running by mid afternoon. Glad we did, -5deg here this morning... nippy. -
If anyone has an experience with ideal boilers could they pm me? Ours has gone funny this morning and could really do with it back on.
-
I'm in for a trip down south if you need a hand after Christmas? Great suggestion to get a few together and sort it in a weekend.
-
Think this was Mark_storm's old car. One of the loudest VRs I've ever heard. Good purchase.
-
Are you running this as your daily now? How you finding it?
-
Well this sucks. Poor Ken. Having been to the NEC a few times recently for work things, I have to say they are completely useless at organising any parking at all so this lack on action in the face of repeated theft doesn't surprise me at all. Hope he gets a positive outcome

I quite like the TT as well.... But I'm a crazy fool so read into that what you will

BREMBO retrofit on the Corrado, anyone done this? What ones fit?
mic_VR replied to EJ Taylor's topic in Drivetrain
Something to bear in mind for people changing callipers over to 4-pot is that they create a very unique pedal feel in the Corrado due to the fact the master cylinder can't be easily uprated to match the amount of fluid that needs to flow to move 4 pistons rather than 1. In my car for instance, the pedal has more initial movement before they really bite. Once they do they are fantastic but for people who've never driven the car before it can be a little disconcerting having to push the pedal so far. If you're never going on track, or the car is running near standard power I wouldn't bother. Just get some good 288's or 312's, good fluid, braided hoses, good pads etc and you'll be golden. Also, pads for the more bespoke 4-pot callipers are very expensive. For my AP's a full set is around £150-200. If you want track pads like pagid greys (RS15's) it's £250+ -
I want to build the track rado and don't have time/space for both. Something has to give.

My VR might be up for sale soon and might sell the CHs separately so I'll keep you in the know.
-
What kind of style you thinking mate? Motorsport? Dished? PIMP?
-
Wow, that's pretty bad. When did it pass the MOT? That's got to be a fail.
-
There's a bargain 24v for sale at the moment. Needs bodywork but mechanically it's sound
-
Not at all, just preparing you for the inevitable. You've been desensitised by the years of using a car that actually works. Buy one, slam it, chuck on a turbo, eat some tyres.... job done!
-
So you've got yourself a nice short commute, and you're going to ruin it by trying to do it in a Corrado? Madness. YOu'll be fine for a week, then it'll breakdown, then you'll be modding it and buying a daily.....
-
Holy ****, where have you been hiding mate?!
-
Hope you're all ok over there, terrible news to wake up to.
-
Still here mate, can't seem to leave....
-
Haha, great news all round mate! Are you at Addenbrookes? My wife works there and always says about a Corrado on site.
-
Oh dear. Error. Not really a huge amount of point racing a bike from the lights unless you're in something very exotic or modified. Rider seemed like a nice guy though from the commentary. Wonder who it was
