There are many different sizes of blades that will fit these, and the Lupo, arms. I fitted a Passat driver's side blade to my passenger side Lupo arm and I have pretty good coverage now. Pic to follow, if anyone is interested.

Ordered a set by phone yesterday afternoon - it arrived this morning, complete with a free pen :) Excellent service - and their Corrado sounds interesting, too. -

You could replace the rear seat with one without the armrest - tho' you'd lose the storage for the First Aid container. Just a thought. -
Neither would I, of course !! I am referring to one of the brokers mentioned at the head of this sub-forum, btw !

I've been with the same company this last 2 years, on a 'limited mileage' policy ( 10,000 miles per annum ). The current year runs till the end of this month, and I'm getting rather near to 10,000 :) Will probably be ok, but only just - and maybe not :) So I called the broker and asked what the position is if I get to within a few days of the policy running out and I look as if I'm going to break the 10k limit. After saying he could extend the mileage, and he'd get a quote for it, he came back and said that although my documentation and their records specify a 10,000 limit - and it's detailed as one of the 'policy endorsments' in the paperwork I have, actually I am on an unlimited mileage policy, so everything is alright !! He did repeat this, but when I asked him to send me a quick email confirming this he said he was unable to do that, but that it was ok because all calls are recorded and he'd made a note in their records. So - limited mileage policy or not ?? Has anyone else had this experience ??

Doesnt ziderapple's 24V Corrado tempt you ??? See this thread :- viewtopic.php?f=12&t=83676

I've been looking through the threads on here about insurance, and most seem to home in on the cost of the policy. Fair enough, we all need to be watching the wallet these days - but what about the service you get from the broker/insurance company in the event of a claim ? Does anyone have any particularly good / bad experiences to relate ?

Whats the best MPG anyones had out of a Corrado?
John-M replied to Pat_McCrotch's topic in General Car Chat
Was that with your 24V engine ?? If so, how have you got your MPG to display ? That's the one display I lost when my 24V was fitted :( -
Done :) Easy when you know how, lol. Couldn't tell that what looked like the end of the bar was in fact the nut that needed unsrewing.

Thanks, Kev. On my way back under the car right now :)

The link bar connecting the front antiroll bar to the drivers-side wishbone on my VR has broken. I have a new one on order - s/be here tommorrow - and I have been able to remove the lower part (where it attaches to the wishbone) ok, but I just cannot see how to remove the part that screws into the end of the AR bar. Where I was expecting a screwhead or a bolt head, there is what looks like a circular plastic 'cover' ( ?? ) with a star pattern on. Nothing to get a grip on, unless you need a special tool ?? I may be able to work it out when I see the new one - but has anyone replaced this bit ?? If so, any advice how to remove this part would be much appreciated.

I was in need of a VR6 rebuild a couple of years ago, but was tempted by a 2.8 24V engine that became available. I have no regrets - the 24V is very smooth and flexible. Have a read through the Definitive 24V thread - you'll be convinced.

So can you replace the 'early' glass with 'late' - effectively making them 'late' lights ??
-
Thanks :)

What about if a 'pensioner' drives hard ? :) My wife often grumbles about my driving - 'You don't slow down for corners'.
-
Will 'early' headlights fit in a 'late' Corrado ?? What is the difference ?
-
Nods, lol.
-
Oh dear - we shouldnt really be advertising the fact that he has a Corrado. Sort of reduces street-cred, no ??

I'm surprised the car key wouldnt unlock the car. I have a Clifford alarm - Concept 50 - which doesnt prevent me unlocking the car, although it sets the alarm off of course once you open the door. I can then switch it into valet mode and the alarm/immob is disabled. That at least would get you mobile, but not if you cant unlock the door - which is strange.

I popped down to collect some bits from Bigpants Baby yesterday, and spent a v pleasant hour chatting to him and his better half :) Very nice couple - and boy, does he have lots of stuff !! Aladdin's cave has nothing on him :)
