Nope, not yet. I should get on with it :) Sorting out other stuff at the moment tho. The shampoo/conditioner is good - I'm using the 2 bucket method and a wash glove. So much easier I find. Have you done yours yet ?

Lee: Which Ferodo pads did you get ? I've used DS2000 before and loved them, but couldnt get them in time last time I changed. I'm not as impressed with the Mintex ones I'm using now :(

I've wondered a time or two if the 4 headlamp setup in the Mk1 Sirocco would fit in the Corrado, and if it would look right.

How do you get a copy of ETKA for your PC ?? It would be sooo usefull.

And doesnt it make a mess of the under-bonnet foam ??

Stan - I've PM'd you

OK, thanks for all the above. Here's another quick question :- As part of a 4 stage process - Clay, Clean, Polish, Wax - Is Meguiar's Gold Class Clear Coat Liquid Wax any better than their Deep Crystal Carnauba Wax - or is it just 'different' ?? It's twice the price so there should be a difference - or is it trying to do more than one job ??

No idea - but I'd talk to Vince at Stealth. Do you have Powerflex suspension bushes etc ?? I'm considering 'em and would appreciate some views.

There cant be many of us still with Concept 50's fitted. I had a prob with mine recently and had it fixed under their 'lifetime guarantee'. Orig fault was fixed ok, but now it has a few 'peculiarities' - but I can live with 'em.

Ta for the replies - I'll do some more reading as well, but the above sounds good :) nocrap: I'm the other side of Ipswich from you, in Bramford.

I recently visited one Meguiar's 'Master Stockists' for advice on their products, and I am utterly appalled at the lack of interest or knowledge they showed. I was wanting to know the about two products, the quick Clay Starter Kit and the Deep Crystal Paint Cleaner. Specifically what the difference was and how to choose between them. One assistant told me 'Well, its up to you, they're the same really' I questioned that and he asked a collegue, who looked at the labels on both and told me 'This one (Deep Crystal ... ) is like T-Cut and this one (the Clay kit) is a polish' I said that I didnt think it (Clay kit) was a polish and he said 'Yes, it is' I was going to ask about the difference between two wash products (Gold Class vs Nxt Generation) but thought better of it. So, in the absence of any knowledgeable and sensible advice their 'Master Stockist', can anyone here advise me ?? My Corrado has metallic paint, very dark blue almost black, has been somewhat neglected for a while and is in need of a good sorting out. I have in mind using the 3 step process - Deep Crystal Cleaner, Polish, then Wax. To what extent does the DC Paint Cleaner do the same job as the Clay kit and when would/should I use the clay. Any (sensible, lol) advice would be gratefully appreciated.

I bought mine in '96, it's '94 ('M') registered. I'm the second owner. The guy I bought it from said 'When you come to sell it, let me know and I'll buy it back.' Little did he know ! 35k miles on the clock when I got it, now it's on 168K. Longest by far I ever owned a car and the highest mileage. Can't see me changing now - though I need to be spending some serious money before too long :( DELFINIS38 - I thought I'd be the oldest owner here - but you got a few years on me !

I have no idea if 'normal' Lupo arms/blades will fit - also unsure if there is any benefit over new Corrado items.
-
Make sure they are from the Lupo GTi - I think normal Lupo arms are not the type we are all fitting. Might be wrong tho. In my opinion, they are WELL worth getting - the GTi ones that is. Got mine through the group forum buy. J

We should trade - mine wipes but doesn't squirt.

Mine is the same as far as the slide bit goes - sometimes it'll close, sometimes not (wait 20 mins and it will !! ). So I just use the tilt for now. I'll get round to looking at the slide bit - sometime :)

I had a look at the fitting instructions and the illustrations on their website. I'd want a little more waterproofing than that loom appears to offer. My car lives outside and it's wet here in East Anglia ! Andy, I am very interested in the 'Full Monty' loom - i.e. the £42 option. An illustration of just what the loom comprises would be appreciated - but from your description it sounds like its going to be just what we are all wanting - totally 'plug n play' and also completely reversable if needed. If you want someone to test a set for you in the far east ( East Anglia - far east of the UK that is ! ) , let me know. Full set, plug 'n' play is what I'd be interested in. Cheers

I bought a set through the group buy last week. No problem fitting and they work so very well. Such an improvement on the standard arms/blades. First time it rains you'll see the improvement.

Engine cutting out - my garage is puzzled - resolved!
John-M replied to djmac56's topic in Engine Bay
Hi dj, I had cutting-out problems with my VR6 recently. Turned out to be the after-market immobilisor. Had it bypassed and no more cutting out probs. I have sent you a message about something else. Regards, John -
What is the legal situation regarding cat-bypass when replacing the original exhaust system ? I have a '94 VR6 with 165k miles - and it cant be long before I need to be looking at a new system. Is the year of manufacture / registration the key issue ?? First post in this forum, by the way.
