  1. when mine did the same it was a combination of the ignition switch which although still operated normally, are prone to breaking up inside and an iso radio harness from ebay that had a switched and perm live round the wrong way from

  3. what would you pay for a new one that's already in the uk ? I bought one when they were still available and when i painted my car was able to get the original one off so I have a spare now
  4. paisley freight will do it, it'll need to be bubble wrapped or similar, i've had them move tail gates and other large panels before. Due to the freight costs tho would you take £100 for it ?

    if it is a 2lts whats the mileage ? and what you gonna do with the engine ?
  7. Early ones no good mate need a late one to put an oem vdo gauge in, still take the early headlight tho
  8. just the bit bit in the dash that houses the heater controls and stereo etc
  9. looking for early headlight switch and late centre console ??
  10. I wont renew at £15, Ive not attended any events so even a tenner a year for a mag that's not that interesting can feel a bit much

  13. Hi I'll take the dash vents with headlight switch and steering column cowl if its un damaged and for an adjustable column ? Paypal ok ? would you combine any postage charges as they can be packaged together ?
  14. I'm good Matt cheers, shame the car isnt !! I have a toothed pulley setup on my G60 and solid tensioner which is \ has caused me no end of grief !! two belts later, new cambelt tensioner, new solid tensioner bar and a charger rebuild on the horizon I may just get to drive it by xmas !!
  15. I had a similar problem with mine turned out to be a blocked bleed nipple on the off side rear calliper

  17. mine are 16's running mk1 cupra brembos with 305mm disks and mk4 rears with std disks

  19. take it back and have them correct it, they're obsolete now so if they've done any damage you'll want them to pay rather than try and prove something you found at home is their fault

  22. New ones would be warrantied, who knows how many miles this one would have on it or previous rebuild history, or whether the internals are good ? They are NOT rare, there maybe less in the UK but they are by no means rare, maybe this forum is just predominantly for VR's ! I've seen them with paperwork that don't need a rebuild for £450/500. Personally I wouldn't pay more than 200 for something with an unknown past to much of a gamble. As for the £1200 figure you could buy a heathly used Lysholm for less than that ! I know I did :)
  23. Really Jim ? By the time you've sent it away and spent a minimum £250/300 +shipping on a rebuild its not that good ! If however there was some documentation to suggest it had already had some porting etc (stg4 or RS or similar) done and had a smaller pulley then it may well be ok but for a std charger after a rebuild I wouldnt agree
  24. gwerks gone bust, psd gone bust nowhere down here thats interested in C's esp. stroppy G60's !
