Only from the inside. Very tinny from the outside. I have to agree that they are very capable car but they are getting into the wrong hands at the moment.
-
Quite high mileage for one of those is it not?
-
Where do you think he bought them... Thats the very wheels in the pic above.
-
They do turbo well! I've seen a stock 2.8 24v with 1.06 35R make 500whp @ 18psi, which is 50+ more hp than a 12v with the same turbo and management! Mmmm that would be fun in the Golf.

Yeah I know what you mean about working the car but Ive never been a fan of that. Probably the main reason I can never ever see myself owning a VTEC (yo) type car. The Tdi comment was more aimed at the 1.8T, Ive had a few and Im not a fan.

Good on you for saving a C but I'll be honest, dont like the colour combo with all the little extras in grey. Maybe just the roof would have been nice.
-
Have you heard a 4motion with a decent exhaust? Its amazing. What you said isnt quite true, its not like a TDi. There is still plenty of pull all the way up the rev range and to me is better as you dont have to be in the perfect gear when on the "twisty's". Having had both in the same car the 24v point to point on a B road will be quicker in a less frantic fashion. Top end is great for circuits or for 100mph+ but how often are you doing that, mid range punch is what it all about for me.
-
Heres my graphs, it want running 100% but not far of.
-
Try to get some power and torque graphs, that should show you. I'll dig mine out.
-
Mmm, 4motions are all 312mm I thought. Are the 312 pads on 288 discs or do the 312's use the same pads as the 288's? :confused4:
-
Good choice, they suit the blue very well.

Been away for the weekend but managed to get some better photos. Modified shifter is good but needs adjutsment now. The new exhaust is perfect, so subtle but sounds great. Might fit those lower caps to the front and go down one notch on the rears.

Gti's looking great and C superb.

That stunning. Hopefully good news on the National Day as well.

Bloody hell if thats the case, there's going to be a lot of R32 Corrado's driving around. Not really something you want to do on the cheap though. There will be a reason why its cheap. -
Certainly different colour. Is it the Kiwi green that Seat used? Never understood this facination with getting the bonnet and roof in a dark colour though, why?

Well the lass wasnt in today so Ive been busy. Bloody pipe still hadnt turned up by lunchtime so managed to get some from a local supplier. Just as I got back to work there was twice as much pipe sitting in reception than I had ordered  . Anybody needing 2.5in straight pipe let me know. Anyway got a flyer from work and went straight to the garage. Managed to get exhuast on and last wheel so here it is. Bear in mind its just come out the garage so suspension should be slightly lower. Love it. Almost binned it the first corner though, new tyres an all  . Will get some better pics up tomorrow when I get a chance to clean and polish the bugger.
-
3 on now  Still havent got the exhaust section and its not moving till thats on. Should get it tomorrow and get it on tomorrow night then I'll be using the car over the weekend so should get some photos. That all depends on whether or not Im out entertaining a lass from work tomorrow night though  :norty:

Nah the TT Comp is a fairly hefty lump.
-
Agree on the chrome front but I prefer that they blend in more. Funny Ive always preferred the Mk5 feel to the Mk4. Horses for courses I suppose.
-
Looks a minter. Best colour for them. Still prefer the Mk5 version though. If I were to be down to one car Id be looking at one of these as well.

I'm Starting To Miss My Corrado.....
coullstar replied to Corrado_Addict's topic in General Car Chat
Its just a more refined engine I found in terms of NVH. The 24v head makes a big difference to the way the engine performs. Remember the Mk4 was designed with comfort more in mind than the Corrado plus it has a huge silencer at the back. Believe me if that is changed it certainly sounds different. The 4mo isnt that much slower than a standard VR TBH but its the driving experince thats totally different. -
Was thinking the same. Are you sure there 5x100 as 5x112 is more common? 8in ET35mm is fine

Good work on the sump, on my list of things to do as well. Did you get the pump new or 2nd hand as I heard there hard to get hold of.
