  1. Is this the same motor as the Alfa 159?
  2. Tyres look too low a profile, so you lower to loose the arch gap and in turn the whole car is too low.
  3. I know, was offered it back recently but Im now playing around with an RS4.
  4. That sounds good Vince and good price. As said perfect for those that have gone 3.68FD. I notice they have a comfort and sport options. The price above is for the sport version? Is one area I would certianly invest in my car.
  5. Hi folks. Selling the daily car as Im looking for a cheap run around and to pump the rest into a T5 Transporter. Looking for soemthing like a Mk4 Golf to replace. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170974691745?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  6. Yes, very well. I have one in my RS4 and it works fine.
  7. Should have bought a 135i...................;) We must have had a good foot or so up here and its basically been snowing a little bit every day since last Monday. Im using the Bbeemer and its brilliant, haven near been stuck yet and using all the back roads whilst everyone sits in traffic on the main roads. Would love to get some winters for the RS4 and take it out but all to worried about someone else ploughing into it if Im honest.
  8. The old 135i's are very good as well, pity they didnt bring them out in the hatch version. Cant be a bit of twin turbo action.
  9. Thats the engine I have in my 1series and I think it great. Sounds great and can be pretty decent on fuel. Very reliable as well. How about my 130i, Im looking to sell to get a VW T5 van. M-Sport version and about £2k cheaper than that Z4. Its a bit of a Q car which is what I love. Cant get a motorbike or bed in the back hence why its up for sale.
  10. Love it, something different from the usual 1.8T conversions and credit to you for doing the work.
  11. Just wondering if those that use them daily have used the VR with winter tyres fitted and how they are in snow? Must admit Im getting tired of seeing the car sitting under the cover every day and want to start using it again. More so as Im selling the beemer so might be a with until I replace that.
  12. Where did you get it man? Different coilover would make a big difference. There not good Im afraid.
  13. Where did you get that? Its cool, would love one for my bikes as well.
  14. Can't say much more than the guys have already said but they do seem to be better with the wishbones as near level as possible. Do you have a an LSD? What powers it running and have you changed the map? My old vr turbo was the same on track at knockhill in the wet if you were heavy with the throttle.
  15. Has a B5 RS4 now that he is playing with, Im sure he mentioned that he still had the Corrado tucked away somewhere.
  16. Did you not find that that residents came over as a bit racist? They live in the middle of London and expect it to be quiet? Some stupid driving but I bet its not just these guys that drive like that in London.
  17. I wore through sections of the liner on a trackday once so I doubt the tyres would be wearing from this. It made a hell of a noise as well.
  18. Heres my old one with the Perf trim bonnet. Fitted fine, only issue was with washers but that seemed relatively easy to work around using Mk4 washer jets hidden away or if you want function over form I had a set of those wipers with jets on them. This was the carbon skin with fibreglass frame. Biggest thing is the weight saving. Corrado bonnets, doors and tailgate are stupidly heavy.
  19. Coking up is an issue with that engine and its never been one to get to quoted figures from the off. Never really liked the A5 in any guise, its just too cumbersome for me. Dare I say it its in no way a real drivers car, its more about the show than the go but as said Audi are more like that these days.
  20. Not even a debate!!!! 993 everytime. There is not one thing I dont like about them. Evo did a test a few months back and had every 911 model in the basic 2wd version and actually raved about the 964 as being the biggest surprise however the 993 is still the best looking by a mile though. 993 RS would be dream for me. I agree with an above post though for all you would get for your Corrado it wouldnt make a huge dent in the 993 budget I suspect.
  21. It is, I was so close to buying but it wasnt quite right for what Im doing with my car. Had one fitted to me old green one and it was the best fitting and sounding exhaust Ive had.
  22. Sad to hear but I will be interested in some bits for sure.
