Shiny! 8) This sounds like a cheaper alternative, will have to buy a test can ;) Cheers

Hey Dec 8) The good thing is i tried it on my MOT failed headlight, bad thing is that I was going to buy the replacement housing from some site you had mentioned on another post. Do you know VW would sell the reflector and at a moderate price? My guess: No and No :( Obsolete maybe?
-
great! cheers for the reassurance. Tried cleaning the interior of the headlight (the shiny parts), but scrubbed too much as yellow started showing from underneath? woops! Wonder what I could use to give it a restoration
-
Might be a long shot, but have u checked your fuses? Had random alarming on my Clifford G5, and turned out to be a blown fuse..same one as my interior lights for some reason :/
-
tested beforehand without the headlight unit connected. Put the negative multimeter terminal on the battery earth and the +ve on the loom terminal. Maybe new bulbs could help. Is 12.24v a healthy reading in that case?

Hi, Just bought an uprated loom off ebay Link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140232253769&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=004 However, not 100% sure of the improvement - looks a little brighter, but i really should have taken before and after pics! Anyway my voltage on the loom went from around 11.89v to 12.25 both sides. Is this normal for everyone else? Or have i bought a crappy loom? Im pretty sure its wired correctly. Cheers

If anyone knows for sure if an ABF bottom end would fit under an early bonnet, pls let me know :) cheers

Turbo route is so tempting - especially after looking at Dec's Corrado. I love my 16v, but would love more power (But then again, everyone may feel this regardless of their cars power). After I sort out my brake upgrade, suspension and new CVs, I think I shall source a 2.0L bottom end with some kind of aftermarket exhust manifold (Milltek perhaps?) - I think thats a good base to start with anyway without resorting to finding a complete new engine

Hey guys, I have a 1991 1.8 16v, but it is rather odd, in the fact that it has the 2.0 16v PAS setup. I was wondering what parts would be needed from which corrado, as I've regularly recieved wrong parts. eg; driveshaft,cv's - from a 2.0 or 1.8? or no difference? I ask because I bought one which turned out to be completely wrong, so kind of stumped :( Also how about the bottom end of the engine? Still a 1.8 but simply with a steering setup? Any advice would be great, it's annoying to try and order parts and try and work out which ones I actually need

If your fluid is at an ok level, then either: 1) Air could be inside - bleeding sometimes gets rid of some noise 2) Tensioner may need adjusting slightly (probably not this tho) 3) fudged pump, buy another, not that expensive I'm not sure about how hard it is on a VR, but i've gone through 2 Pumps on my 16v, and its a simple job, just fiddly with bolt locations - but you may have more luck 8)

Mine was a reverse thread - snapped a screwdriver trying to force it the 'normal' way
-
! I'm gutted for you, another one goes to the corrado graveyard :(. The main thing is that you're okay. I really need to check my amp leads and buy an extinguisher!

Borbets not available????????????????? of course they are man! i just bought a set in March, Road and race in Wrotham Kent are the sole UK importer, he had quite a few sets when i was there, and he was expecting more last week Seconded! Got mine from there too :), nice chap - he said he had a corrado track car

If it doesn't come off easily, the doorcard can be whipped off in a couple of minutes anyway :) Just make sure you remember how the windows are connected! I've still lost the function of the passenger window control from the drivers side - swear i've tried every darn combo, but to no avai; :( Good luck

Ah, so you CAN take your C through a carwash. Was always worried due to the warning signs saying no spoilers etc, so i never took the risk. Bucket and sponge every time :D Nice car dude
