  1. No probs Captain Sideburns. See you around :salute:
  2. ohhh, so by "that KR" you meant the cam, not the engine.
  3. Cheers fella! Got an update on my card cloning from March: Barclays have just decided that it in fact WASN'T me taking money out of my account and they decided to put it back in! Well done Barclays: I have food money for June now.
  4. Jim's is a 9a I think mate, as it's a 2 litre? I do have to say, Stella was on a roll last night. Had a nice pootle with a 12 degree intake temperature. Must have helped. Maybe it's not so bad!
  5. I thought you wanted it to fail? All of those bar the tracking are well easy to do (imo). Come over to oxford and I'll happily do them if you supply the parts :salute: (after my last exam on thurs!)
  6. I think Jim (and I) are lamenting at how ass ours are. Just cos you shine the bejeesus out of yours ever spare moment! I love the valvers anyways, I'm on my third and fourth KR now, I have one in the boot too (joke) and I think they're great little engines :salute:
  7. First like doesn't work anymore Dom. Other link does look Bentley-ish but then again it's a Russian website with VW stuff on
  8. The corrado fan should come on for up to 10mins after ignition is switched off too?
  9. Not sure if someone has mentioned already but you can get LBJ extenders which basically make the BJ twice as high so that it sticks out of the hub further underneath. This helps to keep the wishbones more parallel. Seen them over on CGTi a lot.
  10. The standard of driving has just got worse and worse. I thought it was just rubbish in Oxford, but seems to be the world over
  11. Don't get me wrong, I used to run 50/50 as a good all-year round balance but 50% coolant will protect down to temperatures England will never reach, and will rob cooling units* away from the water, which can cool better. * I have been doing Thermo revision from 9-4 and I can't explain this further without losing the will to live :brickwall:
  12. This is the black one with pretty much a 996 Turbo drivetrain? 500hp iirc. *opens link* Yeaahhhhh  edit: 520hp from top of page :ignore:
  13. I hate taking those clips off, always think I'm gonna break a finger!
  14. hell, i've seen a small aerosol before! sounds like you're not too sure if there's any life left in your filter, so throw some pics up and we can see
  15. Yeah. I would have said looking at the fuel pressure reg too, but a good source informs me that those either work or they don't, so if the car's running the FPR should be ok. Has the timing been messed about with recently, or have you tried a different octane fuel than normal?
  16. I was thinking that. 2 bottles of G12 would be 3 litres and approx 50/50 mix? You won't need anything higher than 30/70 coolant/water in this climate. Worth draining some out and putting some water in I'd say, as per Jim's suggestion. :salute:
  17. Yeah, flusted's right. A de-cat pipe is literally just a straight pipe to replace the cat (as you know); I think it's just coincidence that it happened at the same time.
  18. Having trouble undrstanding your english at the mo mate. Are you asking whether there is a gauze in the metering head?
  19. i have to ask , i wasnt going to but i have to how do boost pipes suck themselves closed, as the vaccum in the engine is manifold side between the throttle flap and engine. Do a google for 'turbo hose collapse'. Dec, why don't you get a VR for the weekends and keep the 16v for a daily? Having them the other way around would be the biggest anti-climax!
  20. Note to self: You also need to reconnect this to it's rightful position!:drinking:
  21. One of those is for a different engine. Use the one which fits, you only need one intake manifold gasket (iirc, you need the one WITHOUT loop)
  22. Debadged the rear, no more "I'm not fast" badges! ^_^
