  1. Great album and a great sax solo (though not played by Bob Holness as per the urban myth). Night owl is a great GR album as well, if you're open to suggestions.
  2. I somehow thought you'd be running a Thorens. The Mk2 TD150 is a classic ever there was one.
  3. That's just a wonderful piece of kit. I'm a vinyl man myself but all the best with the sale and have a free bump.
  4. I'm sure it'll be worth a strained neck.
  5. Just for purposes of being complete, I ended up buying a Varta silver from a dealer over in Macclesfield. £80 delivered and it made an immediate difference. I also bought an Airflow battery conditioner for when it's in hibernation. It's a belter !
  6. From what I've found out by reading between the lines of dealer brochures/list prices, 92 and some 93 VR's came as standard with red badges. In 93 silver badges were offered as an option and 94> silver badges were standard. I'm reverting to red as it was the standard colour for my model year. Sure someone will be along in a moment to confirm. Serrano is a type of ham that Johnny foreigner eats.
  7. Good man. Can I beat you down to £15 and I'll paypal gift the money tonight if you let me have your details ?
  8. Cheers Just been on the trimsport website thanks Mike but alas no joy. I'll send them an email as they may have one in a dark room somewhere. Look forward to the picture(s) Matt. Thanks
  9. Should be in VG+ condition. Prices and pics needed. Post required to Lancashire Thanks in advance, James
  10. Thanks for the prompt reply and apologies for missing the details on the first post. Look forward to the pics. James
  11. Front subframe and wishbone pics/price please. Will need them delivered as well please. Thanks In advance, James.
  12. The rear light has a foam seal that retains water and other nasties. This over time bubbles from the inner lip and moves further up the body. I found replacing the seal, inserting plastic screws to reduce corrosion, remove the light and bladder wax round the openings along with raising the spoiler when cleaning/washing can help a great deal though.
  13. I swear blind Stephen King wrote the screenplay for the film "Christine" about a Corrado  Every time I've uttered the immortal words "I think I may sell the car". The following week I'm met by a spitting out of the dummy and somethings broken (usually expensive) so don't beat yourself up about it. I wouldn't be too hasty to sell though Andy. You've put a huge amount of effort into your car since buying it. As soon as it's gone, it's gone for good (money permitting) and you'll be twelve months down the line wanting to scratch the Corrado itch you had only had a few moons previous. The car's a credit to you and it would be a shame if someone else took all the credit for all your hard work. Take the time to enjoy it and use these mechanical issues as just one of those things. All the best with whatever you decide.
  14. ... When it's a Votex 5 star. And no I'm not referring to the bouffant adorning, shoulder pad adoring, faux soul specialists of the same name. I'm talking about a set of alloys dear reader. The below image was harvested from an aftermarket VW wheel catalogue I have (I'm an anorak I know) and it looks like the old OE rims have been given the Ting tings "That's not my name" treatment. BBS VW votax 5 star.jpg[/attachment:3hll6cwj] I do however have a big crush on the split rim version... ... and BBS RM's. In fact if the board allow, a set may be "in my life" very soon.
  15. If you're not careful, you'll have people thinking you own the Corrado equivalent of the Golf Country :D But Sir, please bestow us mere mortals with more visions of beauty from your mileage reluctant steed. Especially of ones engine bay, for I who narrate.
  16. Iceviolet + porsche Both providing a quick and reliable service at more than reasonable prices. Thanks once again.
  17. Welcome back to the fold. Looking forward to the pictures. :D
  18. You're making the right noises so far. Let me know when you can. Thanks, James
  19. Must be silver and as though it's just come off a car (not polished). Don't need a plastic one as I've got one of those :) These were fitted to early VR6s (92) Prices posted to Lancashire please. Thanks in advance, James
  20. Thank's for the info Paul. I read somewhere that Karman had a factory in south America so thought it safe to assume that they produced Corrados there for the markets on that side of the pond :ignore: Managed removal of the alt, air con, oil, PS pumps, fuel rail and half untangle the box of oily snakes that lived at the bottom of the engine today.
  21. That's very kind of you. Email me the images and I'll give it a look.
  22. Looks like you're car is in a similar state to mine :D Did you paint the alternator or polish it ? Looks good either way.
