  1. I would give it a break if it wasn't for the fact that the brakes are one of the flaws..   I think the biggest flaw is that with all these flaws we still wouldn't swap it for anything else  very good but a set of 312s do look nice and sort the problem out very cheap and the tt wipers help with vision yikes i see a bit of a tt take over coming on here even my pedals have been infected
  2. you can mount your plate were ever you want on the bumper as long" as you said it not obscured" and visible from a reasonable distance this sounds like another jumped up cop with to much power going to his head when he knows nothing.
  3. crickey guys and gals its an old car the majority of cars especially these days wont even see these ages let alone still be admired by many give them a brake new cars are no better there equally as temperamental :)
  4. love the tt dash aggghh did i say that out loud :D
  5. hi i am sure the vr ones are bigger it sounds like there boxed wrong .
  6. bugger so i could have used this instead of running a wire in the car for my pressure gauge NUTS :(
  7. gutted what a mess bad shit that , good job you were not going to fast.
  8. vtec is fine if you like reving your engine to 6k plus to get any power , for me i will stick with the vr i would have loved a vtec when i was 18 but now not a chance and as already said no soul in the jap crap.
  9. lots of vag cars pour water in when the windows are open in the rain not just the C , and as said these are all little problems they are old cars and still designed a lot better than a load of modern cars and will far out last and out style whole bunch of crap thats about these days long live the C
  10. You never know when someone might look underneath your arches [/quote:3uc68xj9] crickey i have to agree springs are out of site i really wouldnt be bothered with it , m/bikes are different there on show .

    best OEM wheels

i would have left the speedies on my vr if they had more offset or a wider rim lip to fill the arches they just sit in to far for my liking but side on there a fantastic looking wheel.
  15. seen it but never actually owned a set of wheels with clear powder coat.

    Oil leak

theres 2 oil pressure switches and the oil temp switch , you can get them elsewhere but i would get genuine , a lot of factors etc get confused with the high and low pressure oil switches .
  17. the stealers sell them there around 8 quid for the plastic one.
  18. tt comps are laquered , i thought the question was for powder coating i know powder coating is an option on image wheels (not laquering) powder coat is normally a very good and durable coating all thou it does dull as you rightely said but i would do it to save all that polishing :(
  19. its an old car , things wear out gee !! try a ford you have to replace the door locks every ten minutes because there made of bubble gum , then get your welder fired up to weld your 2001 plate fiesta up i get really fed up with people slating the old vw s especially the c the newest one is 13 years old and the oldest 19 lets see how well modern cars do shall we rant over :)
  20. not really an issue ....to a point you can pour neat fuel on an exhaust manifold and it just evaporates as there is no spark to ignite the fuel , brake fluid on the other hand will go up this is why newer cars tend to have there brake fluid reservoirs behind the bulkhead or away from the engine so in the event of an accident the brake fluid wont hit the manifold , the back end of the exhaust is relatively cold compared to the front so it was not an issue really .
  21. thats human nature no problem any time :D
  22. hi its self tensioning so no fears there.
  23. a lot of manufacturers mount intercoolers in front of there rads , intercoolers have a high flow rate of air going through them so its not so bad, and your also not blocking all the rad with it anyway.
  24. original triangle and tool kit , but no first aid box well not the original anyway.
