this is still inconclusive for me , i would probably go poly on the rear for ease of fitting and buy new arms for the front all fresh and tidy then :)
-
if your fitting 312s they sit 6mm further in so you should be able to do away with your spacers on the wheels as the disc offset is different on a 312 that why you need to use 6mm spacers on the caliper bolts and longer bolts.

that looks to me like the trackings out , and the rusty bit looks like the flexi hose dohnuts have been rubbing the inner wing.

Any suggestions for a MONSTER to thrash round a field?

if i was getting a field masher it would be an mx5 rear wheel drive great handling and old ones are well cheap :D -
thats not bad they take some good amps to keep them running thou thats why there normally on timers so you dont leave them on to long.

no i think its true with most but the vogtland springs were a straight fit on the late mounts , i think there are a few others that will go on late top mounts too ,its no big deal either way i end up buying both early and late just to be safe as i did not want to do the job twice ,but there is a really good thread covering the measurement on it here it is viewtopic.php?f=23&t=61944&start=15&st=0&sk=t&sd=a :D

there all michelins thou you cant always have the same model tyre as they get superceded , but i would pair up two the same for the front and the odd one on the back but it doesnt really matter , make sure we get a pics of the finished item in all its glory :D

i love the pug wheels they would look fantastic on a c if they were 16s
-
35 front 25 rear ideally but 35 is what you need out of them :D
-
if the lights dont wobble when you move them by hand , they dont fail chances are as the c only has 3 points of mounting they will move ,give them a shake and find out.
-
hi you can straight swap them , the inpros have an oem plugs they are 100% plug and play ,you even use the same adjusters out of the original lights in them . but as with most older v.a.g. cars the headlight loom should be uprated for maximum voltage at the bulb.

right last one ,the lining is measured nothing else it does not make a shit bit of difference about the backing as far as wear is concerned , 5mm of lining should have been a pass no issue, the problem with testers like you had is they guess at it and nobody does anything about it ,make sure you ask him/her what they are going to do about it as you are not happy and you are thinking of telephoning V.O.S.A. directly to see why this happened ,because you are not happy with the car failing on something that it should not have ,see what happens.
-
well at 15mm to 16mm , 5mm is not half worn then is it and that you said , if you want to be arsey get over it ,i did not test your car some twat that obviously thinks he has too much power for his own good did , get over it or ask him for an apeal form and stuff him properly :mad2: i was only offering advice next time i wont bother as you new all about the mot laws and regulations any way.
