Standard suspension Q here. Just looking for advice or imput. I've a VR on standard set-up and their on their way out. Was looking to get full suspension set up for no more then £300. Is this far to low to get a mid level kit? Does anyone know if there is a half decent kit for arund £300? I understand the ride will be a bit jumpy over crap roads - no issues with that, just don't want it bone jangling so! Thanks guys.

cheers for the support chaps - it's a bit of a nervy and weird feeling, not having any experiance to lean on. I'll bring this back to the missus to show the C is more then just a show car, it's a very practical, your Mother would be proud, family long range cruiser

really enjoyed that race. Much more like it. As the dude said, it's great to be able to get wound out by live sport! Not sure about the 'dirty air' issue. Surely you can just time it so you come flying up behind the car in front and overtake, then brake crazy late, that way avoiding sitting in the negative airflow  (That said, I did nearly drive into my front room this morning by selecting 1st gear instead of reverse ) My money's on Redbull to run the show this year - the reliability stuff they'll iron out, but the basics of the car are spot on.

cheers Tim - your the second person today to mention Sex'n'Curry  And I always thought a quality night out was followed by a curry then sex

good stuff mate! I'll dig my heels in alright. I reckon she's a soft spot for the C anyway :luvlove: Plus, your right, the deep rear bench seats are much better, nice an snug. If I could reach the steering wheel from back there I'd happly drive around like that

wife is now 7 days overdue. I'm told this is quite normal for 1st child. So in an effort to speed things up as it where, I thought what better way then a rough bumpy hill climb over crappy mountain roads and up to extreme high altitute to, bring it on....so to speak. These are the first shots I've taken of the C since purchase in Nov :ignore: And may be the last, I've been told by numerous people  Anyone else out there managed to hold on to the C, while holding the baby :confused4:

Not sure were this came from but thought I'd throw it up here. Nice Porsche mention.... The VR6 Revolution In 1992 two new engines were introduced: a 2.0 L 16 valve (100 kW/136 bhp) and the VR6, a revolutionary design combining V-shaped straight Reihen engine achieved by two cylinder banks with an angle of 15 degrees and a single cylinder head. The design allowed 6 cylinders to be packed smoothly and for smooth of operation - similar to an inline 6 cylinder. The VR6 engine is regarded by engineering specialists as an absolute masterpiece and as a result successors to the VR6 are still used today by Porsche and Bugatti. The Corrado VR6 was in fact, so good, that many commentators at the time said it was worthy of a Porsche badge. The Corrado VR6 produced for the European market had a volume of 2.9 L and 190 bhp. Many reviewers believe it is one of the best handling front wheel drive sports vehicles of the eighties and nineties offering a luxuriant driving experience and amazing value for money if not the looks to match some other models on the market. The innovative 15-degree V6 engine also won Popular Sciences Best of Whats New Award for 1992. Car magazine voted it as one of 25 Cars You Must Drive Before You Die.

sorry 'vr6storm' - put I thought of this when I read your post! "I'm Alan Partridge: Never Say Alan Again (#2.4)" (2002) Sonja: "The Spy Who Loved Me" is a brilliant film. It begin in forest in Germany... Alan Partridge: It's Austria! Austria! John: What's the one where the laser beam goes up his jack... Alan Partridge: "Goldfinger"! Michael: What's the one with the, with the volcano, and it splits up and a big rocket comes out with all Chinkies jumping up and down? Tex: Isn't that, er, "Thunderball"? Alan Partridge: No. No! No! No! Stop getting Bond wrong! I'll tell you about "The Spy Who Loved Me". All do that with your fingers round your eye. I am Roger Moore. Bang! Blood dribbles down. We're on a submarine. Two sailors sit down and have a game of chess. Then the cups start wobbling and then a man who used to be in "The Onedin Line" comes in and goes, "Why are the cups wobbling? What's going on?" And then... yeah, you can stop doing that now. And then he peers down the periscope thing and looks through it and goes, "Oh my God. The submarine's being eaten by a a giant tanker." And then we cut to Moscow. And there's a man there and he's Russian - he's got eyebrows, you know - and he's on the phone going, "What, a whole submarine? You're joking! I'm gonna have to tell some other Russians. See ya!" Right, and then, and then, it cuts to James - Roger Moore - and er, yes, he's with a lady. Yeah. Yeah. He's, he's necking with her. And he goes, "I've got to go, love. Something's come up." Michael: Aye. He means his cock.

anyone else spot the C in 'Men Behaving badly' last night??!! It was just before the add break. Caroline Q was in the back of a car chatting to her son, and you could see out the back of their car at a line of vehicles parked along the street - and POW! there it is - the rear drivers side section of a green Corrado!! The fact the show was made around 1994 (i think) it was probably brand new! I kept rewinding it on the Sky+. eventually the wife left the room muttering 'what have I done'....

 Priceless!

I, probably foolishly, am of the thinking that when a person reports dangerous driving to the Police, ie going down and giving reg plate / descriptson etc. That they DO put these in some record base thingy, and if they get 2 or 3 reports agaisnt the same reg, they DO something. I fear this is not the case though. I reported a young punk in a chav'd up Civic to the cops 2wks ago for speeding along like a rally driver near my gaff. Quiet Country road, and this guys comes round tight corner in the middle of the road doing 'bout 50mph! I'd just washed/polished the VR so was doing about 5mph thankfully and he shot past and nearly went straight into the field. F@cking knobhead :censored: My main concern is that there's lots of people on horses, rightly or wrongly, along that road and next time who knows. Dickheads like that will only stop after they get a serious wake up call. And maybe if the cops get a few complaits they do a house call and put the sh!t's up the little scrote's.

looking to correct the now quite bad rasping noise from my exhaust. Can someone outline the benefits, if any, of getting a full new exhaust system or just replacing the faulty section, bar the cost issue. From a engine health wise perspective. How much healthier for the car IS a new system as opposed to 'patch'n'go' with the old one? Thanks

sprinterVR6 replied to sprinterVR6's topic in Exterior
sorry, sorry - my bad. I have done this a few times - my apols. -
just wondering about the deeper front spoiler on my Storm. Maybe not one for the purists, but if anyones got any thoughts or pics on this - let me know. I don't think I'm straying to far from standard...am i?!
-
just looking for thoughts or any pictures on having the deeper G60 front chin spoiler on my VR. Is this donemuch? Perhaps frowned upon my the OEM crew?!! I wnat to keep my Storm as standard as poss - but saw a G60 recently and thought the deeper spoiler looked quite be-fitting the cars performance. Thoughts? Pictures? Prices?!

This countrys law system p!ss' me right off!!
sprinterVR6 replied to Jon_vr6's topic in General Car Chat
that is pathetic :bad-words: Personely, and I know it's wrong, but I'd do all I could to get the address off the reg - go round - mini stake out - if you see it's the same blokes - wait till they're asleep in their rat nests and 're-arrange' various parts of their property. It's vigilante stuff - but sometimes it really seems the only way I know... :nono: -
Formula 1 Pit Lane Blondes Game (New Schedule on Page 3)

I'm in! Cracking thread. Might go for Hahn Premium for first race. Crown lager is too show'y for me! VB's a lovely drop, but leaves you w#nker'd the next day :pukeright: Isn't Hoegaardenn Belgium? -
I juggled with the idea of a 2nd car - but just couldn't see the sense of double raod tax / insurance / MOT etc. Then, after owning the Storm for a few months now, found it to be a bloody solid car (god, I bet it's little ears are burning  ) starts everytime and flew through the recent snowy weather, passing newer cars stuck in ditches etc. Mileage is 129,000 now, but I don't drive much during the working week :gag: , but love it and live on the weekends or when the long weekends come back around. Even my 4min drive to the Station is great fun / just sitting in it, looking round the cabin :notworthy:

saw this very odd Badging on a Ford Focus ST last night. It had the usual 'ST' badge, then just about a half inch beside it was 'D' I'm no Focus expert, but did the Focus ST come in Diesel? Eitherway, not something I'd have on the back of my car. I mean 'Baby on Board' is one thing.......

About to buy full Milltek system for Storm - any thoughts?
sprinterVR6 replied to sprinterVR6's topic in Engine Bay
Excuse my exhaustive questioning ( :brickwall: ) I've another query now. you mention a 'cat back'. In relation to a full Milltek exhaust system, where does the 'cat back' come in? Is this half of the full system? If so i can possible get away with just replacing this part as it's the mid section I can hear blowing through.
