Depending on the max load on the public weigh bridge, they have an accuracy of around 10-20Kg, so your car could be lighter than read out :)

anyone else looked at the new elise 1.6 its a joke
MattPc replied to corrado_sunderland's topic in General Car Chat
I went out last week in the new one, didnt think it was too bad for 1.6, I think they're trying to attract a different market by using the 1.6 and to help with the euro5 emissions laws. the 1.8 supercharge looks good though :D Lotus will be bringing out 2 more models next year. -
Jabba sport do them for £965.99 or you could e-mail AMD in Thurrock. I'm currently refurbing my suspension (but without the KW's) i'm replacing my bushes with poly bushes but not sure which make to go with, I have heard the cheaper ones dont last as long ast the more expensive ones, can ayone confirm this and i have SKF top mounts from euro car parts. renewing ball joints and checking the ARB drop links. MattPc replied to Donjon's topic in Members Gallery
Looks in prety good nick, it reminds me of how i baught my storm home on the trailer. and also couldn't drive it for a couple of months, but that gave me time to sort some bits out on the car and personalise it. :) -
They were proberbly the low life scum bags from the melbourne estate that tried to nick your car. there always loitering and upto no good. on a good note, Steavens vw dismantelers over Borham way might have some bits to repair it.

it's pretty impressive what you can do at home with sheet steel and still look OEM, one of my engineering teachers could beat a sheet into an egg shape.

I started cleaning my storm ceiling with carpet cleaner then a vax to suck all the dirt out, but the vax was a bit too powerfull for the old cloth adhesive, and the cloth started to lift from the backing, doh, so i'm going to get it recovered soon. Matt

I've sent a few bumpers by courier, just rapped them in buble wrap then cardboard and lots of packing tape. I have used both UPS and Parcel Force with no problems and only cost cost around £14. Matt
