  1. Beautiful car sir. Just out of curiosity, what kind of paint did you use on your charger? It looks great :)
  2. Before I begin, I feel I should get out of the way that I am missing an exhaust hanger, so my exhaust insists in scraping on anything that sticks off the ground (speed bumps, etc). I lost my credit card on Sunday night (d'oh!), so today I had to go into town to the bank. On my way back to park my car, I had to drive through campus. The street I had to take through my university has a crosswalk surrounded by speed bumps right outside of the student center. As I approach the speed bumps, this very attractive woman that I've just recently started to see is standing, waiting to cross. I stop to let her, and she approaches my window. "Nice car," she says. She had never seen my Corrado before, except in pictures. She stands back to let me go, and as I start driving my exhaust hits on both speed bumps, causing a loud noise that got the attraction of any pedestrian within about a 1000ft. radius. I check my mirrors to see the girl standing behind me, staring at me with a wide grin across her face. I turn as red as the car and continue driving, trying to act like nothing ever happened. The End.
  3. I've got the early style dashboard in mine right now, but in my storage unit I have the late style. Is it possible to retrofit the late style into my car?
  4. I think if you try to sell it online you're not going to get the best price you could for it. Try to sell it in a local group (i.e. advertise at shows, etc). The market for them over here seems to be pretty good right now.
  5. Cool idea, but I think it's a bit of an eyesore...
  6. It sounds like that could be a bare wire hitting metal somewhere in there, if your voltage drops. Have you noticed if anything shuts off while it's doing this? With my radio it used to do that, and when it would short out the radio would turn off.
  7. I'd say try it and see if you like it. Worst case scenario, you pull them off and put other wheels on.
  8. ^So not true... I own both and I'm still on Corrado forums  My 944 is just an N/A, and my rado is a G60. I still prefer the styling of the 944 to my C, and it corners way better than my C probably ever will. It's been a lot more reliable than the C but parts for it are a lot more expensive.
  9. Ugh... I want a Storm so bad! Beautiful car :) Off-topic: What is different about a Storm than a regular VR6?

    Rough idle

I was driving today and noticed that my idle was very rough. It started out high, but by the time that I parked it, it was idling so low that the engine would sputter a bit, then it would jump back up for a second or two, then it would be sputtering again. What can I do to fix this? Any parking lot jerry-rigging would be great because I'm stuck in a parking lot where I can't do anything major. The car is a 1990 G60.
  11. Good fix. I'll probably try and rig one of these up when I go home from school for the summer.
  12. We had a nice day today, so I thought I'd take a drive through the countryside and snap a few new pictures.
  13. Mine is neither. It sits in a parking lot most of the time during the week, except for special occasions where I feel the want to take it outfor a drive or to run some errands into town. I guess living on campus has that advantage, even if the parking service is dumb and doesn't know what they're doing (I wrote a huge rant about it on another forum :cuckoo: ) but for the most part, when I'm at home it's a daily.
  14. Wow, it seems like more of these are going up in flames lately than anything else. Kind of makes me rethink that drive I took earlier. Sorry about your luck. I'm glad that you are okay, and that you got your mate back to his place before anything bad happened.
  15. In the standard speaker spots in the back, the biggest I could fit was a 4x6, and I just threw in a few Pioneer's I had lying around. I have some 4x6" Sony Xplod's in my Porsche and they were great. But then I got the want for something bigger and better and put two big 6x9" Sony's in my truck lid, and they sound excellent.
  16. Welcome to the forums! Pics are always welcome, and many of the guys on here offer some great feedback :)

    rear lights

Yeah, before you spend the money on buying new tail lights, try to tint the ones you have now. They can make a world of difference. Here's mine, just to give you an idea. Before: After:
  18. Haha. I tried to do a google search to see if there was anywhere that made the US plates custom for show but didn't find anything.
  19. BIG UPDATE!!! Part 1: Wednesday/Friday Wednesday of last week I received word that my new g-lader had arrived. So Friday I headed off to home. Getting stuck in rush hour traffic is not fun! I get home about 7:00 on a beautiful (but windy) day to find a g-lader in my garage and a mystery box on my front porch. The g-lader was still full of oil so I spent a good hour cleaning it up, then we tore it apart to make sure the guts were in great shape. Much to my surprise, they looked almost brand new! So we cleaned it up and put new seals and bearings in it. I also did a super sh*tty job painting the outside. Figure 1.A, 1.B, 1.C, 1.C: New g-lader Once we got it apart we decided to call it quits for the night. At this time I finished wiring my dashboard LED's that I installed last weekend. I have the kit in the mail to change the color of my MFA and the LED's in the switches, but unfortunately they won't arrive until I'm back at school! Figure 2: New gauges I also decided to examine my Mystery Package. I open it up to find the new sunroof cover I ordered! To make things better, it even matched my headliner! I installed it and now it doesn't rattle and hurt my ears every time I go over a bump! Figure 3: New sunroof cover Part 2: Saturday/Sunday Saturday morning I wake up, feeling mighty sick and I proceed to hack my brains out all morning. We proceeded to put the g-lader back together. We got about an hour of work done before my dad decides he wants to go buy a car. So he does that and I do some odd jobs, such as putting my tail lights on and finishing the assembly of my interior! Once my dad gets back from buying his new Staab, we proceed to reassemble the car. At about 11:00pm on Saturday, April 12, my Corrado is back together for the first time in almost a month! Figure 4: Motor reassembled Once we were sure everything was assembled properly, the moment of truth was upon us. I sat in the car and held my breath as the car turned over. It caught and started! We listened to it run for a few minutes, then once we were sure that everything was in working order it left the garage. These pictures were taken this morning. Figure 5.A, 5.B, 5.C: Its alive! I have a blast driving it around, and am pleased with what I see on my MFA as I return to school this evening: Figure 6: MFA Now on a serious note, this charger is pulling a lot stronger than the old one. I have the standard pulley on this one, hoping it will get me a few more miles on it than if I had put the 68mm pulley from my old g-lader on it. It's almost like it's a new car now. It sounds completely different (it's not a washing machine anymore!), and it doesn't make so much noise as I'm driving. It even seems like it's steering better, but I could just be going crazy.
  20. I LOVE that color. I wish we got it over here, but it seems all we have are red, black, and white  Take good care of him :)
